I lived there in 2011-2012 - It was as a 1 year lease, and after my lease was up, they tried to jack my rent up from $1,650 to close to $1,800...That was a 10% in less than 1 year for no reason...Now, I know it's a rental apartment business, but that kind of hike is bound to have this place be a straight transitional place, and that's about it. We rented for a little over a year. Since day one we had issues. We complained about mold in our ceiling and in our 8 year olds bathroom and all they did was paint over it. When I told them I'm concerned with the mold they told me they tested it and no mold was found. This was a lie. When we complained in person nothing was done. I emailed the office about a 2 weeks later informing them of the same issues ( mold and building locks not locking) and still nothing. When I passed in our letter to leave the property, the leasing manager pushed back and said we were breaking the lease. I informed her we were terminating the lease not breaking the lease. She told me we will have to see about that and was noting our lease as broken by tenants. This place does not care and try's to scam you every way they can. We have also had multiple packages stolen in what the call is the mail room. They did nothing about it besides put a piece of duck tape on the door lock so anyone can go in and take whatever they want. I'm hoping this review helps you when making your move. read more

They Love to gaslight any complaints. They are routinely at fault for all issues but they deny through gaslighting the situation. Here are a list of observations as a tenant of Inwood West: Paraphernalia left in open abandoned view. Own a high end car? Your rims will probably get stolen - this happens so frequently that Management choose to not notify tenents anymore. Paths are not cleared in the winter - A Mass State Legal requirement that Management ignore. Salt is not applied to resident drive ways - You take your life into your own hands walking to your car when temperatures drop. Such a complicated apartment numbering system that you should consider yourself lucky if you receive any parcels/ takeaway food deliveries. A parcel "drop off" room (aka Parcel Pending) that is a dumping ground for parcels, again good luck getting a successful delivery. Management phone number diverts to an answering service where all paths lead nowhere. Residents are allowed open fire Grills on upper balconies - Again a breach of the directive from Local FDP. Management ignore concerns from residents at open fires on balconies. Perhaps a fire needs to break out for action to be taken. An online message board that is so heavily moderated tenants are not ever allowed to say anything negative, even if concerns are valid. Corporate representatives continually send blanket accusatory emails to every single tenant about nonpayment of rent - even when they have paid. Other things I forgot when originally posting this. Dog mess everywhere. Management claim to issue fines, but when theres about 20 piles on the grass right outside here. Trash left for months at the bins, there's been a smashed tv there for about 6 months. If you need a mattress there's about 8 dumped ones to choose from. Broken glass lines the lawns, great for when you're walking dogs. There's obvious abandoned vehicles. Sometimes if you're really lucky you might see random cars hanging out at the bottom of the drive. Wonder what they are up too? I am not saying don't live here, just be mindful of the above. Especially if you are looking for a simple living experience. I spent 2 years here, and please take my advice....DO NOT MOVE HERE. My apartment carpet was stained when I moved in, and I documented it as I was told to. Now, when I moved out, they are claiming they don't have the document on file. I have the emails stating I dropped my file off, and they won't even return my calls so I can explain. The only women I was able to speak with said "it's the law sir, the charges are the charges" and put me on hold and never came back. The charges for the carpet, which I had documented, were $1400.... Also, my apartment was falling apart by the time I moved out, but they wouldn't fix anything after I gave my 60 day notice. UPDATE: Jody, that response could not be more of a lie. I have all the emails regarding my washer machine, and how you had to cancel bc your maintenance workers wanted to prioritize the fridge over the washer bc it was easier for them, and then didn't come back to fix it for another two weeks. The 9/1 ticket was placed by the office staff after I had to call numerous times, and they had to input the ticket in order for the work to be complete. If you would like I can post the email chain here to save future residents the hassle of having to deal with inwood. I could also post the email chain from the corporate "resident retention team" admitting that they didn't understand why the office wouldn't meet in the middle when I was trying to re-sign a lease. I've never experienced such an unpleasant person until we've moved here. One of the people in the office, Anthony, has been extremely unhelpful and condescending anytime my husband or I have a question or concern about the place. They don't take care of their residents and if you have any issue, they'll just push you off onto another company to take care of it. If you run into Anthony for any questions, your best bet is to ask someone else for help. Here's some examples: They never answer their phone, check their voicemails or texts. Day 1 of move in, my washer didn't work and it took over a week to get fixed. We've had packages stolen on multiple occasions, even when WE PAY for a parcel locker and they just say it's not their problem. Even though there's packages being stolen or opened and dumped 24/7, the office continues not to do a single thing, no messages out to residents, no security cameras, nothing but silence. When we couldn't access a package from our locker and was told by the parcel company to have the leasing office open it with a master key, they said we'd have to come back later in the day when they find time for it even though it would take less than 5 minutes to complete. We've been locked out of our building due to malfunctions with the building door and was told to call maintenance instead of bothering them. In most recent news, a dog chewed a hole through its screen window and jumped out to attack my dog but the office's first response was to call animal control instead of contacting the owners even though the dog keeps returning inside? I'm truly curious what the office does if they don't help a resident with any concerns. I can confidently say that any question that's been asked, the immediate response is "Well, did you call so and so?" I've never been so unhappy with a leasing office and their lack of communication and support. In addition, we pay wayyyyyy too much for such a shitty built place. The walls are paper thin and they use the cheapest paint I've ever come across in an apartment. The carpet is laid poorly and carelessly. We had a 4 inch hill of padding underneath the carpet upon move in. Not to mention, the trim is banged up on every inch of the place. We see mold painted over in our bathroom and have continue to come across multiple issues with the doors on our building. Theres also always trash everywhere you walk. The trash area always has bags of trash piling up outside and there's trash floating around the whole place. There's been times I couldn't walk through the back yard of our building because there was so many bottles, cans & bags of food scatter throughout. The gym is unkept. Weights have been stolen, nothing gets wiped down & people party there late at night. There's been countless parties at the leasing office after hours and people make a disaster. There's also people who don't even live here that are constantly trying to get into the gym and basketball court, & they'll harass you at night trying to make you let them in. I can barely walk my dog half the time without him trying to ingest something because people throw bones and food on the ground near the grill. I would never recommend anyone staying here. I don't typically write reviews but I really felt like I had to as a civic duty about this place. I was shocked with how management treated both me and my wife. My wife and I are educated, working professionals and we were treated like scum of the earth by Kelly Wollinger and her staff. My wife literally cried because of how she spoke and addressed us. We really didn't think we would be "those people" when we signed the lease. Turns out those people were right about this place. We were duped by their fake pleasantries & low security deposit thinking these people were transparent and nice - we were extremely misled. -Our water tank broke and flooded our bedroom. We were promised to have out carpet cleaned. They never cleaned it until we're moving out. -Although they forced us to pay for a locker, our packages constantly got stolen or undeliverable. When you walk into the parcel pending room there is ALWAYS a heap of packages you have to sift through to finally get to yours. -This place isn't luxurious has they make it sound. They say that to charge an absurd amount of money. There was broken down car there for over a year while we were there. Cars got broken into. There are only two garbage drop off locations so we would literally have to put garbage in our car to throw away trash. Nothing luxurious about that. -Kids and/or adult who didn't live there got dropped off in the complex after business hours would go into the basketball court and have full blown tournaments. Making the gym a bit intimidating to get into. -The dog park is probably still being repaired or "renovated". It hasn't been open since we moved in back in 2017 -Dog owners do not pick up after their pets. Despite having doggy bags everywhere Seriously even if you're desperate don't bother coming here. They lure you in with a low security deposit. They WILL absolutely find a way to take it from you and much more! They are by far the worst leasing place I've ever dealt with. UDR corporations (the parent corporation of Inwood West) and Inwood West care more about their profit margin than the safety and comfort of their tenants. This company draws you in with the appeal of the amenities and the luxury apartments in close proximity to Boston. The reality is very different, the positive reviews are clearly people who have just signed their lease and the leasing agents requested a review from. The absolute bare minimum is done to keep the apartments looking nice. There will always be new plants and fresh cut grass but if an appliance breaks good luck! So many projects like the dog park have been "in the works" for multiple years. The claimed to pave the road and fix the potholes but they really just had it seal-coated aka painted black to look nice while neglecting the potholes. I lived at Inwood West for a year and the highlight of my time there was moving out. When I moved in things were pleasant, the management was nice but quickly it turned into a nightmare. Appliances started breaking all the time. In the one year I lived there, I had over 15 standard maintenance requests. On a different occasion I had to call emergency maintenance because my heat broke and got stuck on so my apartment was legitimately 100 degrees by the time I got home. Yet another example, it my screen door to my deck broke and was stuck off the hinges. The other door was stuck open due to this. I put in numerous service requests and calls over a nearly 2 month period to get this fixed. The only way I was able to get this fixed was to call the senior management in the leasing office. She was the only one who did anything! Another major complaint would be snow removal. Rent is over $2,000 a month. The snow removal is atrocious. They come during the snow storm and don't come back again. Last winter, they didn't come back for the remaining like 6 inches of snow which then all turned to ice. I saw so many people falling, UDR is lucky nobody got really hurt. read more

Have been living here for three years now. At first it was great, management was always in communication with residents and they were hosting events pretty regularly. In the past year or so Inwood west has really gone downhill. A major concern of mine is the RAT problem they have. I emailed the manager Kelly for weeks telling her there were dozens of rats outside my ground floor apartment. It took three weeks for anything to be done but all they did was fill in the holes and cover it with gravel. Very shortly after the rats were back and had dug through the gravel. It was months after I first emailed that an exterminator did anything. While he was here I spoke to him and he said he couldn't even get in most of the holes with his tools because they were too close to the building. As it got colder the rats went away but as we have had some warm days recently they are back. The main reason why there are rats is because the trash buildings are not emptied nearly enough. Trash is piled on the ground when the dumpster is full and stays there all weekend when no maintenance people are working. Management is aware that they are in violation of many Mass State Sanitary Code standards and they do not care. I am looking to move ASAP read more

I moved into this apartment complex when it was owned by Avalon (Avalon Woburn) and have been here for just over 3 years. While it is not cheap, rent is comparable to other complexes. The amenities offered by these apartment complexes are really what makes it worth paying for. Pros: -Free parking (unassigned, for now) -Snow removal - you just have to shovel out your car -Laundry in your apartment -Gym/Pool/Playground -Maintenance crew -The leasing office staff is usually pretty helpful -Concierge service for accepting packages when you're not home -Garage rental is available for extra money -Central air conditioning/gas heat Cons: -Rent can be pricy if you live alone (I have a roommate) and increases almost every year. -Speedbumps - this is especially annoying if you live near the far-end of the complex. -The walls are pretty thin so it can be a pain in you have a loud neighbor. -Some buildings are very close to the highway which could be annoying with the noise and lights at night. My apartment isn't right next to the highway but I can see it from my balcony. It's never been much of an issue for me. Overall this is a really nice place to live if you can afford it and is one of the nicer/newer complexes in the area. It's also very close to 93 and 95 and there are commuter rail stations near by in Woburn, Reading and Wilmington. Shopping (Target and the Woburn Mall) are close, as well as plenty of places to eat. Unless my rent goes up significantly I plan to be here for at least another couple of years. read more

RENTER BEWARE - worth the read... We were returned minimal amount of our security deposit without any reason why after move out. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A RENTER (Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 186, §15B). When we finally asked for the itemized list, they charged us for a prorated rent and took it from our deposit due to "moving out late". We never moved out late and we have proof. When we argued it, they said they would look into it and it took them 2 weeks and daily phone calls to get it back - I wonder how many other people they have done this to. These people are AMAZING sales people. The apartments are beautiful which is a selling point. They seem to go above and beyond to really make you think you are moving into this amazing community. But don't let them fool you, the second you move into the apartment, everything goes downhill including their communication. Management is AWFUL. They lack customer service, competence and manners. If you post on the community page and they don't like your post, they won't approve it to be posted. We had multiple communication issues as well with the office management. I am not quite sure why it would take multiple calls and email to find out when there was an ongoing building wide issue. A pipe burst and water was shut off and we had to call because we had no water. Only to be told that the water MIGHT be turned on. We were evacuated from our building at 5 am during the week. After 3 emails and a phone call, we found out at 6 pm that there was a gas leak and we would have no gas for an unknown amount of time. 3 days and multiple calls and emails later, we received our next communication that the gas was back up and running. Most recently, we had no hot water and the stove top wasn't working. Our gas was on and off (mostly off) for an entire week. In return, they let us use a spare vacant unit to use for the time being. BUT the spare unit also did not have gas, great solution. The complex lacks security. It is not well lit and the main building with the gym "requires" a FOB but you never need one to get in because the door is always open. At the building we lived in, we had multiple instances of our main building's doors being left unlocked for days at a time. I was extremely concerned when there was random strangers hanging out in my hallway! After I alerted someone, it still took them almost a week to fix the doors. There is also no on-site security if any problem is to occur "after hours". One night we had an issue and we called the main helpline and was told that there is nothing they can do until the leasing office opens the next morning at 9 am which does not help. Parking is always a nightmare. People will continuously park in multiple spots. Why pay for parking when people are going to take up 2 spots at a time? Management is aware of this issue and does nothing. Do not waste your money on a guest parking pass because most of the residents don't use their sticker. Upkeep of the complex is also pretty rough. We were told that the complex was going to be repaved and potholes were going to be fixed but it was a lie. They really just had it seal-coated. Forget about snow removal. Instead, they just create snow piles where the stop signs are to create a blind spot for traffic turning onto the main complex road. The trash continuously stays in AND AROUND the trash house for weeks at a time. They also just closed the pool for the season without notice. The pool was fine except it opened at 10 am but you couldn't go in the pool until the lifeguard finished cleaning the pool which wouldn't be until 10:35-10:40. Despite having a "NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY" sign, the lifeguard takes a 30 minute break every hour and makes everyone get out of the pool for it. Altogether, save your money and your sanity. Do not rent from here. Apartments are nice, even though you can clearly hear your neighbors. Management is rude and do not care about you, just your money. If you do rent from them, keep everything documented. The only positive about the complex is their maintenance team. read more

Here are some things to consider if & before you choose to rent with Inwood West, Woburn. 1. Stay out of Building 11000 - its INFESTED with lady bugs. On an average, I killed five each day. 2. Be careful walking outside after dark - you'll see some badass rodents. 3. Dog shit is everywhere - the owners are careless in cleaning up after their pets. 4. ZERO communication from Management. Don't email, instead just show up & talk in person. 5. Our Dishwasher never dried the dishes. 6. Misleading rooms presented online. We were shown an apartment with wood floors, got carpet instead. 7. If you break a lease, READ THE FINE PRINT. It'd be two months advance rent + 2 month's rent as fine/fee - so that's FOUR MONTHS of rent. Ridiculous! 8. There's Section 8 housing - so expect to see/meet some questionable characters. 9. Nowhere close to any town center (Woburn or Wilmington) - you're really in the middle of nowhere. 10. Doggy park is nice - but you'd be stepping on dog shit by the time you get there. 11. Rents go up after completion of lease term - so either you pay up more, or you'd have to find another place. 12. If you decide to rent a garage for the winter months, take note that you can't UNDO that come spring time. They make it non-negotiable & gets tied to your lease. read more

Update! So in the beginning of our experience of living at Inwood West was great and we really enjoyed our time here. Recent events have caused this not so great update. The place is a mess there is dog waste ALL over the complex from big dogs like HUGE PILES everywhere. My little 5 pound yourkie got severely sick last month from other dogs poop laying around the complex... cost me thousands at the vet. The dog park has been unusable for about 6 months if not more, they started to work on it then all work stopped they said it was pending "city approval" you would think they would get that before starting construction. We got complaints about my husbands car that was parked outside our building the car needed to be fixed so while we were trying to save up the money the car sat parked in a handicap spot because my husband is a disabled veteran. We got an email from the manager about the car being scheduled for a tow when I asked why she said she received multiple complaints about the car being abandoned, the car was not abandoned it was parked where it was suppose to. I kindly pleaded with the manager to give me until September 1st to get things in order to have the car moved and fixed. I got no reply from her at all. This was the end of July I was only asking for a month. I had a death in my family early August and had to leave to Florida while I was in Florida a ticket order was out in to have the car towed my neighbor called me to tell me, I called the office left messages emails and no response I finally spoke to Lauren (who is great) explained the situation and she cancelled the tow. I then emailed the manager to let her know that we have scheduled the car to be towed and fixed she then proceeded to ask me to move the car to the back because people are complaining I told her the car is parked where it's suppose to be as my husband has a Disabled Veteren plate to which she relied if the car is not towed by the first it will be towed on the second. Mind you they consider our car an eye sore but the hugs piles of shit all over the place are not, the un done dog park that looks abandoned is not an eye sore, or the MOUNTAINS of trash that piles us 2-3 times a week is not an eye sore. There are trailers parked all over the complex without being moved. People park work trucks at the complex on top of their 2-3 cars. They don't do regular maintenance up keep in the apartments so everything eventually needs service ( the maintenance guys are great too always so nice and prompt so no complaint there) but they should be doing regular upkeep of things as the ac and stuff like that. I remember the first year we had a maintenance upkeep scheduled but due to snow they cancelled and never ever rescheduled it we have now lived there for 3 years and everything in my house has had to have servicing. Although done fast by the maintenance team it shouldn't be happening anyways. I just feel for paying almost 3000 in rent ALWAYS on time or before they don't treat certain people good I won't throw the race card out there but seems like a certain group of people get treated and listened to more than others. I'm curious to see if now that our car is fixed and will be parked in the same exact spot day in and day out because my husband does not work will they still harass us to tow it! Update 04/7/2020 Don't move here the apartments are cheap, everything breaks and the staff sucks with the exception of Lauren if she is still here. My AC has broken down every single year, last year it broke down for good and still broken there short term fix was to give me window acs for "a luxury apartment you pay over 3000 a month for". I live on the 3rd floor elevator has been out for over 48 hours, I take care of my infant granddaughter Sunday's to Mondays, how do you get an infant and her carriage down 3 floors? Office never gave me an answer either! No updates on when elevator will be fixed, plenty of updates on the parking kiosk going on line though. I have lived at Inwood West since October and will not be leaving any time soon! I absolutely love it here and highly recommend. Every visitor I have consistently compliments the beautiful grounds and comments on the spacious apartment I rent. I live in a one bedroom and it's perfect. I also have a dog and this community is incredibly pet friendly, with a dog park right next to my building and plenty of room for long, safe walks. From my first visit, among many other visits to communities north of Boston, I knew this is where I wanted to leave. Not only is it conveniently located right off 93 and close to 128, but the community itself is set back and feels private. I moved in to a unit with a brand new carpet, freshly painted, and many fixtures were also new (less than 6 months old). I have a beautiful kitchen, large living area, bedroom, and bathroom with more space than I need. They recently re-carpeted the main halls of my building, which I didn't think even needed to be done over, but this is the type of thing they do well. They upgrade before an upgrade is needed. I think the entire staff is so wonderful and accommodating too. I have needed help with a couple of minor maintenance things and as soon as I put in an online request, someone was at my door within an hour to help. The leasing staff are helpful too and make sure to check in that everything is meeting or exceeding standards. They are all warm, friendly, and even if they do not know you by name, always make sure to wave and say hello. I cannot say enough! Inwood West definitely has more to offer! read more

Chris by far has delivered the best most prompt and impeccable customer service that we have ever had. You all have and continue to provide prompt responses, answering all questions. The maintenance team Welfird you are the best above and beyond customer service always prompt informative and he really cares about the residents and he is so kind and caring. We moved here in June. All was going well until they came into my apartment without notification to replace my washer and dryer (thank you for the upgrade but....) My clothes were in the dryer. After many many attempts to get our clothes we were basically accused of lying about the clothes being missing at which time they moved to create a claim for me. After two months, the insurance company calls to tell me that I have no proof and the office says they checked and couldn't find my clothes so I'm basically out of luck. $400 of clothes vanished. This was handled poorly. How do you come into my place without written notification, accuse us and then move to tell the insurance company the same? We pay a ridiculous amount here. We expected a higher level of service, at a minimum respect for our privacy and credibility. read more

I lived at Inwood West between Sept. 2008 and April 2016, the only reason I moved out was due to a relocation out of state for work. I feel like after moving out I have more prospective on my Inwood experience. My layout was a 2/2 (Buxton) and I also rented a garage. I can agree to most of the pro's and con's listed by others. Overall, my time at Inwood was great, even through management changes over the years. Yes, you can expect rent to increase year to year, but the leasing staff was always willing to work with me and my roommate to ensure we were paying what was in line with the market rate in the area. Yes, the speed bumps are annoying, but with the amount of families who live in Inwood they are a necessary evil to keep people from speeding through the community. I never felt unsafe at Inwood, including while taking evening walks or coming to/from the community at varied hours. When it came to maintenance I can say that the response time was what I would expect based on the size of the community, and urgency of the request. During the almost 8 years I lived there I had various things come up, but the maintenance staff was always willing to do the work needed to remedy the issue in a timely manner. The two biggest issues I ran into were ice dams which backed up and caused damage to the living room and the washing machine dispensing an oil/dark residue on clothing. Both issues were resolved in a timely manner. I would recommend this community to others, and if I did not have to relocate for work I would still be living here. In comparison to other communities in the area with similar amenities and age, Inwood is among the best. Each year me and my roommate would complete an analysis on the surrounding communities and if what we were paying was in line and if moving was a better option, the answer was always staying at Inwood due to the amenities offered and overall price we were paying. read more

Apartments are nice, maintenance crew is timely and solid, but get ready for a complete disaster anytime you have to deal with the office staff. From the original tour of the property, to leasing process, to move out, it was headache after headache. They're boarder line incompetent. Unable to assist with almost anything and be prepared to have to follow up between 3 and 75 times to get an answer. If it's not an immediate burning issue where they feel heat from the UDR Corporate team, expect nothing to get done. Oh and the parking situation can be a bit of a nightmare. read more

I have lived here over a year and I absolutely love my apartment! I have the 2 bedroom, with a den and a loft. So much light in the apartment, it is spacious! The office staff is amazing and helpful. The maintenance crew are so quick to repair things and do it right the first time. The only downside to this place is the people with dogs, they never pick up pet waste and the dog park has been torn up the entire time I have been here. read more

There was a shift in management a couple of months ago and the difference is amazing! They are responsive, helpful, kind and have good communication. We had a flood in our unit immediately after the changeover (thankfully) and despite them all being new, they were extremely helpful and checked in almost daily with what was going to happen next. If I could give Inwood West a "0" I would. I have been living at Inwood west for nearly a year, and I am moving out as soon as I can. The issues started on the day I received my keys, I was originally told I would be getting a second floor apartment facing the community, after getting the keys I found out I was on the third floor facing I-93. Nothing can be done at this point... If you think it got better you are mistaking. The bedroom is facing the highway, and you can hear the road even with the closed windows, meaning traffic all night, every night (except for a couple of snow storms). In the spring, you have the pleasure of enjoying the night birds as well. Needless to say, you better be a deep sleeper if you want to get a full night sleep. I will give one positive, and say that plowing snow was the only thing that was done right, it was quick even during the 2.5 feet snow storm. When they lease the apartment, they say that there are 2 unassigned parking spots for each apartment, yet a month into my lease, they decided to block parking spots and lease them for money. So they did in front of every building, and of course no one was willing to pay for those. The result was that if I came home after 10pm (during the fall), I did not have a parking spot, and I only had one car... I did submit a request about this, and it was ignored (I tried twice with 2 weeks in between). The problem resolved itself in the winter when people moved out, and/or rented covered garages. Option for renewal with the new offer, came less then a week before I had to give my notice the reason was that they give their renewal proposals for the entire month at the same date, it does not matter if you have nearly a month to decide whether you would like to stay or 2 days. YET. They can and do, end your lease on the first day of the month, even if it is not when you started the lease. And when you come to give your notice, tell you that they would have to pay for that day. My lease started on the 30th of July, for some reason it ends on August 1st. Yes, you could say I signed it, but I misunderstood and thought that it meant on Midnight between July 31st and August 1st and not the night after (which does not make sense). The response for why they do it is (and I quote) "the logic behind that is we scatter lease end dates so the common pracitce of everyone moving out on the 30th or 31st of the month is commuted." (this is a copy paste from an email I received questioning this) They just forget to mention that when they give you the contract - so beware. Note, I am aware that I made the mistake of falling for that, and signed it, but I am warning you so that you do not make that same mistake! It is an easy one to make. I could continue to write about all the bad experiences I had living in Inwood West, but I hope that everything I wrote helped you make the right decision for you. read more

Spent a year and a half here, prior to buying our house. We had a top floor 2 bedroom with the 2nd floor laundry / storage room. Rent is not cheap. - Property Maint showed up on time, were professional, very nice. - Parking was nice, we had a reserved spot, and the few times someone parked there, it wasn't a hassle to have them towed (when you work overnights, and get home at 3am, the last thing you want is zero parking available close by, that's why we paid for the reserved spot). - I liked the trash disposal and recycling area. - I loved the online access, able to take care of everything online helps a ton. - The package center was great, they signed for everything and would let me know when things arrived. Now for the bad... - The elevator sucked, like really, it was loud, slow, and it smelled. - The rent was expensive, and it will go up EVERY YEAR. There is no way to stop it. No matter how high you think it is, it will go up next lease. - The MANY MANY Speed bumps. - The mail area in winter, its small, detached by the road, so it isn't cared for properly. - Freeway noise if you aren't careful. read more

I wrote a 2,500 word essay detailing how awful my experience with UDR and the folks in the leasing has been for the past year. I then realized there is a word limit so I can not post my full review. Please message me directly and I can provide the full review. If I could give 0 stars I would. With that being said, THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! The other reviews are not lying. There is nothing good about living here. It is dirty, poorly cared for, over priced. The leasing office is of absolutely no help. It takes Maintenance days to complete a job. It then takes weeks for them to come back to clean up the mess they've made. I had to return all of my furniture because they literally gave us a completely different apartment/floor plan than they showed us. We came in a month before to see a replica of our space. They gave us a printed out floor plan with measurements. Then when we moved in it was a completely different apartment. I inquired about cancelling the lease and the lovely women in the office threatened to sue me. I had to hire a contractor to put my TV on a special mount because the space didn't have a wall big enough to put a 60 inch TV on it. Although the floor plan and every tour I went on showed me flat walls. This apartment had indents, sharp corners, was just terrible. I requested a call back from the property manager at the end of June to discuss all of the issues I had with people stealing my parking space. She has never attempted to reach out. I can not stress enough how terrible the staff is here. I called every week trying to speak to the property manager. The staff told me they gave her the message. So either Lauren was lying, or management didn't have the decency to have a conversation with me. Save your money it is absolutely not worth it. There are so many nicer "luxury apartments" in the area. Do not be fooled when you go for a tour. They will seem nice then, but as soon as you move in you are just a customer and you will be treated like an annoyance when issues come up. Oh also, my first week there their online payment system was down and I could not pay my rent. Rather than send out a notification that the system was down, they sent me an eviction notice! Threatening that a sheriff would be coming to remove us. Just horrible business ethics. There is no community here. For what you pay you would think you would be treated with respect and appreciated as a valuable asset to the community, not a number. When looking at Inwood West as your next home, keep in mind the saying "you get what you pay for." This being said, it is not the least expensive place to live, but the amenities are great, the apartments are a fair size and the office staff is the most helpful group of people I have ever done business with! I do advise against choosing a unit that faces 93 (road noise and dust). Some of the units have doors t0 the back porch that open out and therefore eat up otherwise pleasant sitting space. The maintenance team is quick and friendly. The grounds crew is fantastic during winter (they moved the snow from the blizzard like they do it for a living, wait, they do!) Package delivery in the office is very convenient and the staff has even given items to UPS and FedEx for me when they come by for routine pickups. I lived here for almost 2 years and now consider most of the staff my friends. That is rare and a true testament to the quality people on staff for your everyday experience at Inwood West! read more
