I bought a groupon for a couples massage with Vernu Med Spa for my wife's birthday and regret it…read more When I called to schedule an appointment I was never able to reach anyone. I left multiple voicemails which all went unreturned. Their website is non-existent, so no luck there. Eventually, the voicemail notified me that it was full, so I resorted to email. I sent multiple emails that also were not responded to for multiple days. I still tried to call every other day or so but was continually notified that the voicemail box was full. Eventually, I got a response apologizing for the delay but not providing me any real times or method to book an appointment. My desired time and day for an appointment was rejected by the provider, which is fine as I get that businesses like these require ironing out a mutual time that works for both the business and the customer, which I was more than happy to do, if I could just get a hold of someone who was willing to actually help me. When I provided my availability through email to find possible appointment times based on when they are open (not expressed by them through email but looking online) and I was actually available, the provider responded only once by offering one appointment time for a date outside of what I expressed my availability was. WTF!?! After multiple unreturned followup emails over a 12 day period from their last response alone, and still encountering nothing but a full voicemail I eventually gave up. I then reached out to Groupon and notified them of my horrible experience and waste of time, traded in my deal, found another provider who was INSTANTLY responsive and booked an appointment with them easily. I then sent a final email notifying Vernu that I give up, and how frustrating my experience has been, and that I plan to write this review to warn other potential customer to help save them time and money. After hitting send I got a response within 5 MINUTES! 5 MINUTES!!! The email had two lines: "Chad give me a call XXX-XXX-XXXX". Way too little, way too late!!! Save yourself the headache and find a provider that actually knows how to run their business and respect their customers time enough to respond timely and professionally. I don't know what happened to this business over the last four to six months but when you also check google reviews you will see that I am not the only one with this experience during that time.

Very disappointed. I'm a male, came in about 3 months ago to get my back hair removed. A lady…read morenamed Wendy escorted me into the room. She brought a bottle with the writing Tianjin pear juice (Master Kong Pear Juice, Google it). I asked her what it meant, she said special Chinese herbs to remove hair. I asked her how do you translate them, she said she didn't know (really??) Then I asked her is it Nair or similar to it? She said no, that it removes hair from the roots anyway, and will permanently remove if applied long term. When she applied to my back, I felt a cooling sensation just like with Nair, and it SMELLED JUST LIKE NAIR. She scraped it off, showed me a little bit of residue (which looked just like NAIR, and said everything was taken care of. When I was paying at the door, once again my next red flag went up: the business card did not say Tiantian, something like Jasmine Spa, claiming the ownership changed. The following afternoon I could already feel stubble coming out of my back. I'm reporting them to FTC, BBB, and Clark Howard. I hope more people see it and their deceptive practices bite them back hard!
