He was very kind and explained everything since this is my first monitored security service. Robert did the install and he was also amazingly knowledgeable and so very kind. What I did not expect, however, was that I would receive products and service that exceeded my lofty expectations at an extremely competitive price. Nelson was transparent throughout the process and helped me select high-quality equipment that met my specific needs while staying within my budget. I was also surprised by the level of operational support provided. Nelson showed me how to use all of the features, but he also set up a number of parameters in advance based on our original discussion without requiring further input. We spent around SEVEN HOURS dealing with the salesperson and installer on the first day, and the installation still wasn't finished. The system never properly worked for us. The installer left screws on the floors of our home despite knowing we have pets and a one-year-old child. There was a hole left in our wall, equipment was left disconnected/not working, and they drilled into the exterior brick of our house. The plug for one of the outdoor cameras also became extremely hot, to the point that I was concerned it could be a fire hazard. One of the strangest parts happened around 11 PM when the installer TEXTED ME asking me to send him the code I had received to review the installation so that he could complete the install review himself. I still have the text messages showing this. The sales process was equally concerning. We were not clearly told that the equipment was being financed or that there would be a hard credit inquiry. I did not understand that this transaction was going to involve financing and a hard pull on my credit based on how it was presented to us. After everything that happened, we canceled within the three-day cancellation window. I documented the cancellation through multiple methods. Despite that, the equipment is still sitting in our home and we have had an extremely difficult time getting Vivint to deal with the situation. From the sales process, to the installation, to the safety concerns, to the review-code incident, to the experience after cancellation, this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. I have kept the emails, cancellation documentation, photographs, call records/recordings, and text messages from the installer because the entire experience has been so concerning. I absolutely would not recommend Vivint based on our experience.

After listening to 30 seconds of the worst pitch I've ever heard in my life, fumbling through their words I point to my no soliciting sign and tell them it's extremely rude to ring a door bell when these are posted. The guy ignores me continues his pitch and tries walking toward me to show me a video on his phone. After getting more frustrated with them, they walked right through the middle of my yard to get to the next house and I watched them do the same thing to every yard in the area. Walking through flower beds and lawns to get to the next house faster. I would never in a million years do business with a company that employs people who act this way. Pathetic behavior.

I also added the PTZ HD dome to my camera system. Although it cost a little more than the stationary HD cameras, the results are amazing. They also set the system up so I receive an email if the any camera sees motion, at NO addition charge!! There is of course a free app that you can download to watch live streaming video right from your phone. I can even control the PTZ from my phone, which is awesome! I can now leave my house without a doubt, that every square inch is being monitored, and recorded. Perfect example - After just two months of have my security cameras a construction company was building a house next to mine. The superintendent noticed that I had security cameras, and asked if I could review my video because he had a stack of about 50 plywood sheets stolen over the weekend. I called Code Red Systems to get their advanced help. Without hesitation they were able to locate the thief in action on my PTZ. Turned over the video, and the guy was caught! I did have a small glitch about every 10 seconds on one of the camera. I called and spoke with Justin about it, and with hesitation he said he was going to replaced the camera. I didn't think it was a big deal, but Justin wanted it cameras to be perfect. He came out and in about 15 minutes the camera was replaced and has been working great ever since. To top it off, while he was there he helped me set up my wifi extender for my surround sound speakers outside! I will never go without a security camera system again. I tell everyone I know about these guys! Very professional, very knowledgeable about their equipment, and hands down just great guys!
