In 2020, when I left social work behind, l didn't immediately search for the next job. Instead, I sought resources to help me find myself and uncover my true purpose in life. That's when my good friends, Nat & Dan, recommended A Path That Fits-a career und life coaching program that truly made a difference in my journey. From that moment, l knew I was heading in the right direction. I am not here because I needed a JOB... I am here because @connectmortgagegroup and I - ARE MEANT TO BE HERE!!! This passion has started since 2004 when I started as a part time College Student and part time Loan Processor. If you're feeling lost, stagnant, or even complacent, turn to prayer-and if you're looking for additional guidance, I highly recommend A Path That Fits to help you discover your true purpose and calling, one that brings you 1000% happiness! I'm so grateful I found Adrian Klaphaak - Purpose Coach before getting married and having kids-it gave me the chance to truly find ME - MYSELF.

What is amazing about the work I have done with Ian, that is pointedly different from other healers, gurus and coaches I have worked with over the years, is his ability to lead the way without dictating the direction. He walks his talk and helps you walk yours. He also happens to have impeccable grammar. His modules are easy to follow and his sessions are thought provoking and inspired.

If I have not resolved these issues totally, I have at the very least made drastic improvements in the areas in which I sought assistance. (While it is not entirely free of paperwork and debris at the end of every day, I can now see more than 50% of the surface of my desk at any given time. Whereas it used to be completely covered by at least 4" of crap at all times.) So now I have a cleanish desk, I get stuff done more quickly and with less procrastination and self inflicted emotional distress. HOWEVER..... The real benefit to me came not from in the areas that I sought self improvement but in other facets of my life that (because I was so focused on the stress I was causing myself over meaningless crap from work) I had no idea were so important to me. Because I was stressing over the wrong stuff, I was drinking way too much, eating too much, and not communicating particularly well with my family. Ian enabled me to understand my real goals, so that I could align my actions with achieving those goals, and reduce the time and energy I used to waste chasing false goals, or being distracted by things that didn't matter. Since completing my work with Ian I have lost over 30 pounds! I have lost all the weight I gained since starting up my company in 1992. I continue to lose weight steadily, I no longer eat or drink compulsively, I now only consume what I want to. I go to the gym much more regularly, now that I know it is important to me. (Before I was too preoccupied by distractions to realize this.) Even though I spend more time at the gym, I am getting more accomplished at work AND having more quality time with my family, because I am not burnt out and frustrated when I get home from work. (No more "Leave Daddy alone he needs to relax.") Ian's whole "Kind Ambition" thing and the mushy feelings stuff he talks about a lot are not really my cup of tea. But, as much as I hate to admit it, it does work, and has helped me with my communications with others. Most of all it has worked extremely well with my children (who are 5 and 7). I also am now much better at filtering my wife's comments, by recognizing that when she is tired/grumpy/angry what she says is not exactly what she means, so I make sure I do not give undue importance to the emotionally charged elements of her communications with me. I am much better at calming things down now, whereas I used to just ramp things up by adding my emotions to the fire as well. I highly recommend working with Ian, if not to achieve the desired results, but for the side effects, which for me turned out to be the real benefit.

Michael H., also an alum trainer at SCLA/SF, decided to open his private training space in Glen Park. Perfect for me. Outstanding personal training experience was a 5 minute walk from my house instead of catching BART to the Four Seasons Hotel. Michael is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I had promised myself earlier in my life that I would never allow this to happen, but it did. I also found myself more anxious and stressed than ever. My partner encouraged me ( ie forced me) to get a complimentary consultation with Michael at Sunrise Health and Fitness. I signed up for two sessions a week for six months and things have changed a lot since then. There were many days when I didn't want to go but after I got there Michael and his wife Julie would put me at ease and Michael would tailor the work out based on my mood and energy level. Michael is great at reading a person's mental situation and working with you to create a unique experience with each training session. The space itself is immaculate and it's completely one on one so no need to fear looking silly or feeling badly about how you look and feel. At Sunrise they really want to help you not only physically but also mentally. Highly recommended!

Jessica's style was perfect for me. Her attentive listener, thoughtful and knowledgeable feedback, insightful suggestions and sharing of resources, and her gentle but focused encouragement, all contributed to my progress as I climbed out of a deep hole which had previously seemed inescapable. I have a revitalized passion for life and I owe much of it to the work I did with Jessica., who always kept my long term goals in mind and took every effort to provide a warm space to work in. I am so thankful for Jessica's approach, the space and support provided, and her holistic sense of what I needed in a given session. The knowledge and habits I have developed as a result of Jessica's care and support have made a huge difference in my life. Coming to the Connective was a wonderful development for me and I am forever appreciative of my time with Jessica. I feel ready to continue my journey and excited to continue my progress with the insights I have gleaned about myself, my relationships with others, and my outlook on life. As insurance did not cover our sessions, I paid totally out of pocket. That is the only reason why I am withdrawing from therapy; the sessions were worth the price, but my financial realities mean I need to take a break from The Connective. The fact that I stayed with the Connective for so long evidences that I found the experience truly helpful and rewarding. I would not hesitate to recommend this organization in general and Jessica in particular. Thank you!
