I first started going to her based solely off her name , Color me Chula, and a good reference from a friend. At each appointment she always takes the time to educate me about my choices and help me navigate my hair or skin services. She individualizes each appointment to best suit my needs at that time. BUT I can say that each appointment always feels like much more than that. It feels much more like a healing session. Now those are not the services she offers but her energy and ability to make a person feel at ease and comfortable is an amazing gift . Typically when I schedule services such as these I always feel nervous about going to a salon environment, but I have never felt that way at Color Me Chula, Hands down she gives the best facials ever. When it comes to hair she has always made me feel like she cares about my hair and it's health. As a textured hair girl it's been hard to find stylists in the past that take the time to educate me about my hair and teach me how to take better care of it. My only wish is that she was more than one person that way her availability would always be open to me. Jackie is seriously the best and one would be lucky to receive any service from her. It is in the heart of Old Town Clovis, and it honestly gives the feel like you are parking in a neighborhood and being graciously welcomed into someone's lovely home! I trust Chelsey 100% to care for my hair and continually help it to evolve. Starting originally with very dark naturally & box dyed hair, & mismatched lengths from older hairstyles, I told Chelsey my vision of what I'd love- soo happy to share that after seeing her for awhile, I now have flowy, light brown/blond hair with much brighter money piece strands framing my face! My son is in this phase where he wants his haircuts with scissors only and she did an amazing job his hair looks so good. The vibe of the salon was very calm we did go in the afternoon right before closing as this was the time that worked best for your schedule. My son felt welcomed and super comfortable he talked Soben's ear off lol but she was attentive which we appreciate as the talking probably did distract him from the haircut he's been so scared to get.
