I have owned & operated a landscape/lawn care business in the Charlotte area continuously since the 1980's. An important part of any such business is the support you receive from your equipment trade account company. For many years, the reputable go-to for honest, reliable, truly friend-worthy service for all of my trade support services could be found at the business of Mack Blythe's establishment. When he retired, however, this superior service that I had come to expect retired with him. The new relationship I attempted to foster there for trade related services left me stung, harmed, & wary. It was crooked & I was dis-served! Three years ago I had had enough of any of the concerns operating anywhere nearby my location. I sucked it up & tried a business a little furthur from my location. ***That would be Joshua Joubert's Interstate Supplies & service.*** I was naturally wary there, too, but with each visit, my concerns were rendered unwarranted. This is a family operation, Just like Mack Blythe's business was. You can go in and you will be met by a team of friends, family & associates. Joshua, Bill, Marie, Jennifer, Cliff, Mary, Terry, Mackenzie, Mrs. Joubert, to name a few, are ready to assist. And they know why they are there, too, each one of them. Their store is a larger complex of connected buildings with each area designed to operate as one big service concern: parts, service, sales, phone support, etc. it is logical & it works. If you are a small business and you would prefer to have a return to the style of commerce we enjoyed, "back in the day", do yourself a favor & start up a relationship with Joshua & Co. over at Interstate Supplies & Service. You'll be glad you did. Tell them I sent you!! read more

I left my mower to change some belts, the brake was working and they gave it to me working wrong, I took it again for a reinspection and they charged me again for checking it plus labor, I do not recommend this place bad customer service and very expensive. read more

Brought in my mower that was on warranty and they denied that there ever was a warranty even though I bought it from them. Very rude.

Decent service but very expensive! Unless you are willing to leave your mower there for 3-5 days which is their Service Level Agreement @$150/hr., you will have to pay their "Stop Shop" rate of $195/hr. Given I needed my mower back that day, I decided to pay the higher rate. Within 20 minutes, they rolled out my mower and said it was ready to go. When I looked at the final receipt, I noticed they had also charged me an additional charge of $10.95 for "Shop Fees"! When I asked why the additional fees, I was told it was for "grease, rags, etc."; thus, bringing my total bill to $115.00 for what took only 15 mins to repair... unbelievable and never again! read more

Took my riding lawn mower in, last year in the spring. 6 months and $500 later they told me they finally had it ready. When I picked it up, it was still not working right. To their credit, they did offer to drop it off at my house after they actually did their job, to try and make things right. The only reason I'm going back is because they are the only game in town nearby to do small engine repair. read more

i brought my mower in 9/25/24 they replaced 3 spindles idler assembly got to mow with new parts on deck from March of 25 until 4/26/26 the deck started making the roaring sound again took it back to them they said it needed 3 spindles and idler assembly they said that they did not make the parts and were not going to do anything. talk to Bill said he was head technician said he would discount parts and labor but i think the smartest thing Bill said was take it some were else. personally think they part used parts on my mower just know the spindles and idler assembly worked great for 9 years, do like Bill says and take it some were else.HORRIBLE PLACE read more

I posted a negative review earlier which I am revising. On his own initiative, the service manager reached out to try to resolve my problem. I appreciate this dealerships attempt to help. read more

Bought a Bradley mower here . Showed up 15 minutes before closing. Guys helped us and didn't skip a beat.

Jeff S. has been INCREDIBLY helpful and kind. I needed my blade replaced, and although it seems simple, the blade was unique, and it became a hassle. He made sure it wasn't anything problematic for me. I got the best customer service from him and recommend ISS for all levels of mower services. read more

I drove two hours to get a used lawn mower that I was told nothing was wrong with mechanical wise. Just wasn't the prettiest one. Well since then I have not had nothing but trouble ever since. I contacted them and they told me was the salesman told him that he told me what was wrong with it. No one told me anything was wrong with it. As I am trying to start a landscaping business. They told me I could bring it back and they would run diagnostics and me pay the fee. But I am suppose to miss a day of work to go down there drop it off and then miss another day of work to go get it plus pay for what they said was a good mower. I was looking for a good business to buy my stuff from but this is not one of them. They have lost my business for good. read more

I purchased a spare lawn mower deck belt for my riding mower. It looks like it's made well. Only time till tell when I put it on. Great service and shipping from the company. 5 stars for now. read more

I researched hand-held gas leaf blowers on several websites. I found that Echo made one that would be perfect for what I needed. I had never actually used one so I found someone local vs ordering online. I checked out Interstate Supplies. They showed me the different aspects of it. We then went outside showed me how to easily crank it. Started it up and I was able to see how well it operated. Needless to say I purchased it and along with some pre-mixed fuel. Works like a charm. Great buying experience - knowledgeable staff, took time with me vs just pointing to product on a shelf. Highly recommend Interstate Supplies and Services. read more

I know this is kind of odd giving a place like this five stars but here's my story. I was evacuated from our home in St Simons Island Georgia due to hurricane Irma, and conducted a couple of days worth of work in the Charlotte area. Before my return home, I decided to buy a good chainsaw to help clear out some of the fallen trees on our property. The folks here did a wonderful job advising me on what I needed, supplying me with all the oils, fuel suggestion, accessories, etc. Highly recommend their expertise. read more

The Team at Interstate Supplies & Services is absolutely amazing! Josh, Cliff, Theresa, Terry and many others, ALL understand what great customer service really is. Their facility has two levels of showrooms to make sure you pick the perfect equipment for your needs and the Service Department is a great complement (second to none, actually!). I highly recommend these guys! -Mike (Owner of Malibu Landscaping) read more

Had my home push mower serviced after a cross country move. Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Comprehensive selection of products. Thanks! read more

I will not use this company for any more small equipment or lawn equipment. It seems they do not know what they are doing, and does not stand behind their products which they sell. As I was told by an employee who works there, they do not manufacture the product, they just sell it. Bought a lawn mower, starter was not right on it and was told to bring it back and it would take up to three months to fix. Warranty would cover it, but had to pay for labor. The same thing for the chain saw I purchased. Use one time, and handle broke. Was told by an employee had to pay for labor. No chain guard was given at time of purchase for chain saw, and when asked for one, they gave me one that was way to short, and when I questioned it, was told that was the cover that fit the chain saw. Don;t need this kind of service for equipment that cost this much. read more

Thank you for promptly shipping the edger blades. I will definitely consider making any future purchases from Interstate Supplies. You got a recommendation from another lawn care service here in Orange Park Florida read more

Purchased a used push mower that they had there, since only new mowers in stock were commercial grade. I finally got a chance to use it a week later after all of the rain we've had. Once it warmed up, it started dumping gas out of it. I called Zach (who was my salesman) and told him of the problem I was having. He advised me that there is no warranty or return policy on used equipment. And offered for me to come spend another $40 for them to look at it. This policy (or lack thereof) was not told to me when purchasing the mower, though he insists it was. Overall, I find that they don't care about the little guy, and have no problem selling you garbage that you will have to spend more money on. I'm very dissatisfied with the lack of customer support. Also, it takes days for them to return phone calls. It's too bad they couldn't do the right thing and trade it out for one that works correctly. read more

Looking for a hard to find Stihl pruner. Visited the store and spoke to Zach about chain saws. Side conversation led to the Stihl pruner and Zach mentioned they had a reorder due in October and took my number to call me when the pruner arrived. Sure to his word, Zach called when they came in and could not be happier. Good service. Will be back to but the chain saw. read more

I had a problem with my four year old gas pressure washer. The engine ran fine, but the water pump failed, so I called Interstate to discuss my problem. They were very friendly and helpful. I gave them my washer, they called me with the solution and had the washer ready as promised. It runs better now then when it was new. Everyone I encountered at Interstate, from my initial call, to the repair person calling me back to discuss the problem, dropping it off and picking it up were exceptional. It is difficult to find a place you could trust with problems like this. I have complete confidence in the service. read more

Stay away from these people. nothing but crooks. Bought new hedge trimmers a few months ago and they haven't run out right since purchase. Finally returned them to get checked and it turned out to be the high idle screw needed turned some with a screw driver. I would not recommend this company! Took my pressure washer up there and after a week they called me back to tell me that the end on the plug was missing and one switch was missing. These two things are obvious as you can see them as soon as I dropped it off. They charged me $75 to tell me these two things that I already knew were missing. Then wanted a another 75 to continue looking at the machine I would not recommend anyone taking anything to them. All they are after is your money. read more

Be very werry if you're going to take something here to have repaired, they are gold diggers. I dropped off my tiller on January 28th and told them the unit doesn't run that good and it needs a throttle cable. They called me on February 10TH and said we can fix you up for an additional $56 and you already pay 35 when you drop it off. Haven't heard a word from them until tonight March 25th at 7:35 p.m. on a Saturday night. He tells me that there's something wrong with it and it may need a carburetor and he will have to go deeper. I asked how come it wasn't diagnosed properly in the beginning? He told me it was he said when you drop it off all we do is look at it change the spark plug and oil if needed. I said that doesn't sound right. I said it sounds like they did not even try to look at it before he called me and told me it would be $56 more to fix the machine. Then he proceeded to tell me if you want a full-service you have to tell them up front then we look into it deeper. Haha. I'm not sure how much more clear it can be when you drop it off saying it does not run good and it needs a throttle cable. I am basically going to give them $100 that they want and we'll just have to fix it myself. I have no problem paying a high price for premium service but this place will intentionally rip you off. read more

I purchased Maruyama string trimmer about a year ago based on ISS recommendation. By far the best trimmer I have owned but suddenly it would not start. Usually two to three pulls gets the job done. Brought the trimmer back to ISS and they diagnosed the problem as a bad plug in 2 minutes. Replaced the plug no charge and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes with a working string trimmer. Great customer service. Definitely my source for yard equipment in the future read more

Went there to get my lawn mower repaired, went okay dropping off, $30 assessment fee. They are supposed to hold it for up to 5 days and call you to tell you what is wrong with it, 10 days later I called in and nobody even looked at my lawn mower yet. Then I called in again and was told about my "problem" so I gave them the okay to go ahead and fix it. After 5 days(2 days after they told me my mower would be complete), they called me (first call they have actually made without me calling first) and told me it was done. So I came in, picked it up, and it worked so I mowed my lawn. Next morning I go to see if it'll start up again, and it doesn't. Turns out I have the same problem I JUST had them repair. Called back in to see what they could do, they wouldn't do anything unless it had the SAME problem they "fixed" (cost $100 in repairs, my mower's worth is only $200) So there was NO WAY I was going to take the gamble of another (minimum $30) $100 repair for them to MAYBE fix it. I would never recommend these people to ANYONE! read more

do not take your lawn tools there for service because they will take you for a ride. the first thing they do is take a $30 non-refundable deposit for a $49 lawn mower tune-up. then they will call you and tell you that it will cost hundreds of dollars to get it fixed but by that time it is too late because they've got your mower and you have already given them $30. the mower wouldn't even start when i got it home and i had to take it somewhere else after paying interestate the ransom in the first place. read more
