Both the washer and dryer were 25 years old but worked well--until yesterday. I tried fixing the dryer without success. I Yelped and discovered Matthews Appliance. Winning. After an hour not only was the dryer functioning, the washer was also repaired even though I didn't know the top part of the agitator didn't work. Matthews Appliance came out today and fixed my dryer. Their number is 704-777-7222. The owner, Monny Bounds was informative, friendly and quickly performed the duties. I needed a new motor. Monny also replaced the heating coil. He replaced a knob and some other small parts. The dryer now works and runs very quiet. The whole job cost $200. Monty with Matthew's Appliance just left my home after repairing our Whirlpool dryer. I found him to be extremely knowledgable and very honest. To start with he gave me a timely appointment for today, the same day that I called him. Then proceeded to update me throughout the day as his scheuald was modified. He ended up getting to my home and repairing our dryer all a little before he was initial scheualded to get here in the first place. My clothes dryer suddenly stopped drying and at first was like I guess I'll have to spend $700 or more for a new one. I googled and came across Matthews Appliance. He was at our house within 2 hours and fixed within a half hour. Quoted on the phone flat rate $175. Never tried to up sell or add anything. It was bad heat element. He also cleaned out all the inside and hoses. Thanks to Matthews Appliance I have a dryer ruining I think better than when it was new. Will definitely call on them again if needed. read more

When I reached out for a quote they were extremely responsive and the estimate was reasonable. They made sure to get enough informed to fully understand the problem and helped me get an appointment scheduled. They put up on time and fix our dryer for exactly as much as they estimated. Then while they were out here they also took a look at our washer and saw a small maintenance thing they could do for a very low price that would save us a house call and likely a costly repair in the future. I read the reviews about Matthews Appliance after my washing machine failed to work. I called this company and spoke with Monty. He was not able to immediately come out and service my machine; however, he walked me through a multitude of steps until I realized the problem was not with my machine but was related to electrical work that was done in our home yesterday. Monty had me check outlets, he talked me through the circuit breaker box, and assured me my machine had a solid reputation for its performance.
