Rick was very good and prompt. Much appreciated his workmanship! I would and have recommended him.

David just came by to help us with a washing machine issue. Class act. He was timely, friendly with my kids, efficient, explained what he did with pictures and is reasonable. The Appliance Surgeon is the company to call with your needs!! read more

David is a MARVEL! He is very professional, competent, considerate, and fast. He is a good man. After fixing my dryer he swept up all of the years and years of lint behind my dryer. Just awesome! read more

We picked Dave because he had good reviews. He diagnosed our "squeeky" dryer problem by listening to a recording, ordered the parts, and came as soon as they were available. He knew what he was doing, and was able to quickly replace all the worn parts but one. That part turned out to be low quality, and he had to spend extra time to come up with a suitable solution. Now, the 20-year old dryer works fine, and we have found our "go-to" appliance repair man. Ted F. read more

We use the Appliance Surgeon for both our rental home and our main home and he has always done a fantastic job. I never feel like he is gouging us or talking down to us when explaining what is going on with our appliances. His service is top notch. read more

He did a GREAT job. Showed up on time, very polite, affordable, and even gave tips on how to keep things working well, etc. We've used him for repairs on our dryer and dishwasher. For the dishwasher he made multiple trips due to ordering parts and didn't charge us until the job was done and he was sure things were working correctly. I'd use him again for sure. read more

Prompt, professional, personable, affordable and best of all he fixed what was broke! We called about a broken dryer and he came out the same day late in the afternoon. David gave a diagnosis for $65 and provided a full repair the next day after getting the replacement parts. He was also professional enough to leave thing cleaner than he found them. I will be keeping his card for next time. read more

David was able to provide same day service for my refrigerator. He returned my call quickly and arrived on time for the scheduled appointment. He was able to diagnose the issue and advised me of my options of repairing vs replacing. Unfortunately, my compressor was the problem and he does not work on sealed systems but was able to advise me of a reputable repair company and gave me a general idea of the expected cost. He also recommended a couple of businesses to purchase a new appliance if I decided to go that route. I ended up buying a new refrigerator from one of his recommended businesses and saved a ton of money and was able to get it installed same day. I will definitely call him again if I need any other service on my appliances. read more

We had a malfunctioning washing machine. I contacted the Appliance Surgeon, and he slotted me in as his last visit of the day at 5:00. He actually arrived early (after texting to ask if it was okay!) and took care of the problem quickly, competently, and at a fair price. I'll definitely be calling him in the future! read more

David with the Appliance Surgeon is everything you could hope for: - Affordable - Professional - Prompt - Efficient - Respectful - Great at what he does I'm tired of many of the companies that are so big that they lose the aspect of service. David was excellent. He came to our home at 5:45pm on a Friday (April 29th) to fix our freezer which wasn't working too well. He diagnosed the problem and got it FIXED. I can't speak highly enough and no, I'm not a friend leaving him a review. I'm just one very happy customer. - James read more

Outstanding service and very trustworthy. He's been patiently troubleshooting an intermittent oven problem and continues to stick with us. I've recommended him to others repeatedly and will use him for every appliance repair need going forward. read more

I had an ice maker on a new refrigerator with problems, my old 1970's garage fridge had quit cooling and I needed a gas stove installed. All of these were handled in one visit, professionally and for a fair price. Highly recommend. read more

Highly recommend David Bates (the Appliance Surgeon). Our 3 year old GE dishwasher stopped heating the water and wasn't cleaning well. We called an appliance repair company in Charlotte (in the "Plaza" area) and was told "dishwashers don't heat the water." When I tried to explain that ours had a "sanitize" function that did boost the water temperature, he still argued that it didn't heat the water. So I found the Appliance Surgeon. David came out the next day, diagnosed a faulty board and flood switch, ordered the parts, and fixed it like new. Water is back to high temp as before and dishes are clean again. Definitely will use him for any issues in the future. read more

David has been to our house twice, once for our dryer and once for our washer. Both times we were more than pleased with his service, professionalism, and honesty. Dryer needed a new heating element and he was kind enough to show me the old one as soon as he pulled it out to show me where it broke, he fixed it at an extremely reasonable price. Total price with parts was barely over another shops "diagnostic fee" and less than half of their quote and the other shop didn't even take the thing apart. When our washer started giving me the error code for not draining properly I knew that I could probably go in and clean out the blockages myself but was worried if something was actually wrong with the pump. Because David is so reasonable I did not even have to sweat it and just called him and he was over that afternoon. He cleared the washer out and we were good to go. Will never call anyone else to service our appliances! read more

My washer was making weird noises so I called the Appliance Surgeon. He came out quickly and on time to help us. He told us exactly what was wrong and what to expect. In the end we requested he just do a temporary repair as the actual fix was going to be too much for what the machine was worth. It's still working with the temporary fix. I highly recommend David as he was prompt, professional and didn't try to sell us a bunch of stuff we didn't need. read more

David at The Appliance Surgeon recently repaired our broken clothes washer. His follow up to my request for service was answered promptly. David was able to complete the repair the very next day. We set the appointment and arrived on time. I would recommend David and The Appliance Surgeon to anyone. We will be calling him for any future appliance repair needs. read more
