Always Running came recommended so I had my Whirlpool Dishwasher looked at by Vernon in November 2021. He was polite and efficient and answered all my questions. He explained that due to shortages the part to fix it was unavailable. He also said I would be given updates on the part availability ...than nothing! I called their number and left many messages and nothing. I don't know if they are out of business or anything! read more

I spoke with Always Running on the phone and they were very knowledgeable and helped me diagnose the problem to determine if the problem was still under warranty with my manufacturer. While they didn't actually come out and preform any work for me, they helped me diagnose the problem and I got it fixed under my warranty. They were very helpful. read more

First time caller, purchased of a home right at the county line between Davidson and Huntersville. I called and left a message on Thursday May 30th, I was expecting a call back within a reasonable time. I finally got a call back Monday June 3th. I couldn't answer the call since I work at military base, but I called back within 1 hours. I then waited all day for this business to call me back. I finally gave up on waiting, so I called them again and the receptionist simply stated, I'm sorry, meant to call you back earlier today. Really??? However, It gets better, when I gave her my zip code, she stated they no longer service the Davidson area!!! I was in shock...here is a company with outstanding reviews on Yelp, in high demand and yet they act like they are doing just fine not adding new customers. I was truly looking to establish service and continue with regular maintenance visits for a long time to come. This might be a normal behavior around this town, but I'm used to calling a business for an appointment and paying for service/repairs as soon as things break in the house. However, it seems like it's the norm to call a business around here, get an answer from an outsourced entity and they in turn refer customers to the business, needless to say adding unnecessary wait. read more

Vernon just left, he's old school. Treats you with respect, dresses properly, honest and knows what he's doing. He and his wife run the company and are the best in the city. I just used him a second time. First time he diagnosed a bad washing machine, wasn't worth repairing. This time he repaired a leaking refrigerator. Super reasonable price. He's super friendly and can usually get out to your place the next day and repair your problem the same day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! read more

My experience could not have been better. Customer service was amazing and when Vernon came out he explained the problem with my fridge quickly and advised that I get a new one rather than paying the high cost for repair. I also noticed a problem with my disposal while he was there and he took a quick look and told me what to do and it was fixed! He didnt even charge extra for that. I will definitely use Always Running again! Thank you! read more

Had an issue with the dryer heating coil this time. Vernon had it up and running in 30 minutes. Works like a charm.

We had Vernon Dunlap from Always Running Appliance Repair come out and help us with a front loading dryer. Vernon did his best to get the dryer back in service, but despite his efforts he recommended that it would not be worth the cost to repair our old dryer. We have used Vernon before and would highly recommend him to any and all that require appliance repair. He is highly skilled, soft spoken and as honest as anyone could possibly be. Vernon has had many years in the appliance repair business. Always Running is his company. If you need an appliance repaired, call Vernon first. His phone number is 704 399 8662. You will not be disappointed. read more

If you are looking for an appliance repair company look no further! Our oven stopped working after a self-cleaning cycle. I called three local businesses and Always Running was the first, and only, one to call me back. I made an appointment with Vernon to come out a few days later. He was extremely knowledgable, respectful, and friendly! He fully explained the issue and the recommended correction (and cost). He ordered a part, which came in EARLY, and 2 business days later was back to complete the fix. I highly recommend this service provider. (PS I live in Uptown and not all repair companies will service the city--Always Running does). read more

This is my first time using Always Running, and I will recommend them to anyone needing appliance repair. Mr. Dunlap was able to diagnose the problem with my washing machine quickly (after it was misdiagnosed by another company). My issue actually stems from my well, and he took the time to go through my new home build warranty with me, trying to see if the issue will be covered. He assured me that, should the contractor say the issue is not covered, he will come back and fix the problem himself. Mr. Dunlap is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and kind. My experience with Always Running was top notch, from start to finish. Affordable and went above and beyond my expectations. read more

If you need help call Mr Dunlap. Hard to find anyone that honest and forthcoming anymore. Gave us a lot of info for us to use in making a decision on what to do with our terminal fated washing machine, what to look for in a new machine, and a fair estimate if we wanted to fix it. Great guy, will keep his card handy. read more

I am new to the area so I have to rely on looking up service providers online. I had a problem with an oven not heating properly, I called another local company on Wednesday, they came on Thursday, and continued to provide nothing but horrendous customer service, too lengthy to waste my time telling about it but that's when I called Always Running. From the first moment I called and spoke with Vernon I knew I was going to have a much better experience and I did! He was kind, knowledgeable, friendly and very professional! When I spoke with Cathy in the office about scheduling, I had the same great experience. They took care of my problem promptly, efficiently and at a very very reasonable price. I will always use Always Running for my appliance repair services. Other companies could use a lesson in Customer service from Vernon and Cathy! Highly recommend them. Thank you again Vernon! read more

Our dryer starting making a very annoying screeching sound. After researching the problem, I realized this was not a DIY project. I called Always Running and spoke to a very pleasant woman on the phone and made an appointment for diagnosis. Mr. Dunlap was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He has been in the appliance repair business for 30 years and was able to diagnose my problem quickly. He gave me a quote for the service and explained each line item to me. He answered all of my questions with extreme courtesy (I didn't feel like an idiot!). A few days later Mr. Dunlap returned and fixed my dryer in an hour and the bill was less than he originally quoted! I will definitely use Always Running again and would recommend Always Running to anyone. read more

Vernon Dunlap is the best! So thorough, professional, and went above and beyond to get my washing machine back up and running since I needed to get laundry done quickly after finding washer did not work. We were leaving on family vacation in two days and needed clean clothes to pack! He was empathetic to my challenge, and tracked down the only part left in the city for my make and model so that he could come back and install it early the next morning. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

I don't like having repairmen come into my home. You just never know what you are going to get, whether someone will price gouge you, or various other potential issues. However, I found this company on Yelp and the great reviews, I decided to give them a try. My stove/oven starting burning everything, so I called and discussed with Vernon at Always Running. He was super friendly and diagnosed the problem over the phone. He scheduled an appointment the next day, and brought the repair part with him, in case he guessed it correctly over the phone. Once onsite, he was super friendly and professional. He was right, the part was a bad controller board and a relay that was melted shut. He then gave me good advice on whether I should repair my unit, or just buy a new one due to the age. He had no pressure, and helped me make the decision based on his experience on how long these units last. Ultimately, I went with the repair option, which he promptly did (since he already had the part with him). Now I'm up and running again. Thanks for a great job. I highly recommend this company for your service needs. read more

Called Mr. Vernon about a motor for my washing machine. He gave me great advise as well as looked up the cost to repair vs. buying new. Great customer service and very professional. I will call again, cause this is as good as gets. Thanks Mr. Vernon for the advise and estimate. read more

Always running came to look at two of our appliances that were giving us problems recently. Vernon was extremely knowledgeable and even researched our products prior to his visit. He provided us with a lot of great information and options. I felt he was very honest with us and would definitely recommend Always running repair to anyone. We will definitely be calling Always running repair for any future repair needs, you should too! read more

Mr. Dunlap spent 45 minutes at my house diagnosing the problem with my gas cook top. He tweaked several things to enhance performance. Told me that one problem would be too expensive to fix- I appreciated that. Charge for the service call was less than half what I expected. Very professional, knowledgeable. Works on all appliances except LG and Samsung. Hard to find a good appliance repairman, and I think I finally found one. read more
