Especially in terms of classical beauty and architecture. It looks old and yet new. It's different... but the same. Oh wait I was channeling Bill & Ted. It looks so quaint it could be in Disneyland - but it's absolutely real and not fake at all. Unlike my girl. I don't get tired of driving around the back streets of this neighbourhood and seeing this gorgeous building. And there's computers... and SAN DIMAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RULES!

We started in the old barn, where both employees & several volunteers were there to give us a quick run down of the family & what to expect. Then, we were led to the house & given the opportunity to explore! Each room is opulent with painted ceilings, ritzy carpets & very fancy furniture from the late 1800s. The history is amazing & was so fun to learn about. The volunteers were wonderful & knew a LOT of great facts. We LOVED our time & are hoping to return around Christmas.

The facility is designed to promote Oklahoma tourism, particularly highlighting the state's aviation history due to its proximity to Tinker Air Force Base. She had the best personality to lead a tour like this. We had several stops, so we had to pace ourselves along the way in order to not get full. Each stop was a different cuisine, and each offered up some delicious food. Riding the streetcar made the experience even better! I'm not mentioning the exact places we went because some people like to be surprised like we were. You do answer a few questions when booking the tour, so they can accommodate any allergies as well as some personal preferences (if you don't like seafood, for example). They have several tours to choose from. I 100% recommend doing one of their fun tours.

It was also nice to be out of the heat. There were two photos that, taken together, don't seem believable as described. According to the captions, one was taken of OKC April 22, 1889, and the next on May 13, 1889 - just 3 weeks later. Not only has an entire city appeared in 3 weeks, but additional rail lines, and an outhouse added in the foreground. What really seems implausible, though, is a massive pile of dirt in the first photo has disappeared 3 weeks later, with no sign it was ever there - even the grass has grown back perfectly. In three weeks. I'd love to know how the dates were authenticated. We can learn a lot from our elders, so I really enjoyed the quotes and photos of people who had made it to be 100 years old. We entered through a door in a parking garage, but there's an escalator right up front in the BancFirst building that's probably easier to find. I'm attaching photos.
