Not all people are (cough, cough)...tidy and/or clean, nor do they take care of their own messes, and this can make any rest stop employee's work more challenging than it should be. I seem to stop at this rest area a fair amount, and I'm always happy it is clean, has toilet paper, is well lit, I feel safe, etc., all of it is always good to go in my opinion. That is not the case with a lot of rest areas in my travels. But still, this is a thankless job and I if I ever see folks working here...I thank them for all they do. That said, I want to give a shout-out to them now...thank you for making this a pleasurable stop for all travelers. It is not easy having to tidy up after certain humans, and I, for one, am grateful we have folks who enjoy what they do in looking after us travelers and are there for us. If you are passing through, don't hesitate to stop. They not only have clean restrooms, but also ample parking, a picnic area, and a dog walking area. There are vending machines as well. There is ample parking for truckers too!

The price sheet on the wall showed it to be $7.99, but it rang up for $8.99 at the register. There was a large selection of drinks. I ended up getting a Diet Pepsi and a Natalie's blood orange juice. I bought a few snacks, including my favorite Bigs Old Bay sunflower seeds. I bought lottery tickets with the cashier as the self service machine I tried to use wasn't working (closer to the massage chairs). The bathroom was clean. It was helpful being able to use the outlets in the room that appeared to formerly be used for online gambling.

Extended our stay with no problems even over a major holiday weekend they went out of their way to adjust for us to stay a few extra days. This park has a lot of long term campers, mostly in the back half of the park around the lake/pond, and up in the tree line. Our site, upfront just off the entry was a short walk to the pool with a nice shade tree. Mostly level packed dirt and gravel, had to use a couple blocks and manually adjust everything a little but it worked. 50 amp FHU in the back right corner with the utility connections fairly close to each other, and worked as they should. The front area appears to be where those staying short term set camp. We had folks around us just overnight on a couple nights. The other rigs were at least a couple spaces away that stayed more than a couple days. The park, at least where we were, was peaceful, clean and comfortable. During the week day very quiet and relaxed. We used the pool a few times, in the evenings and early mornings it was well maintained, clean and hardly used. The check in office/camp store/laundry is in the A frame by the pool as you enter the park. Its dated, but clean and serves its purpose. The park has RV, cabin and tent sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring and various types of hook ups. An older park, better than a lot, not as good as some 3.5 Stars - rounded up for the kind helpful staff 01244

Our last stay was fantastic but I'm sorry to say there were a few setback. 1 Ants, Ants and more Ants!! I don't know if it's just the season but it was nearly impossible to sit outside. 2. Diesel trucks with bone rattling exhaust systems. I know we're parked by the main road, but I thought there was quiet time here. These things were going by all night long doesn't make for a good sleep. Maybe getting a site in a different area is the way to go. Not going to be a fun drive today.

Great stopping point on our travels from PA to NC. Hotel…read morewas very clean and new. Conveniently located off of the highway. Beds were comfortable and shower was great! Body wash was empty which I didn't realize until I was already in the shower so I'd just recommend house keeping to verify bottles are filled. Breakfast was adequate. A little of everything. Decent for a hotel breakfast. Main reason for 3/5 stars is I booked a room for 5 people (2A; 3K) put kids ages in which are 16 & 17 and it booked us a room with 2 beds only (no couch or cot available). I was offered extra blankets only. Ending up having to book another room (at a higher rate than originally paid) because everywhere was closed to buy an air mattress. This is partially my fault for not double checking but most hotels cap you at 4 if beds/sleeping arrangements only accommodate four people. I was expecting a little sofa to be in the room. All of the staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The woman at the front did find me the best rate available for the extra room which I appreciated.

The lady at check in was so amazingly kind, professional and needs to be the director of customer service for Marriott because she rocks! And I am so mad at myself for loosing the paper I had with her name on it. So I will describe her for management to recognize her. Black lady, had her hair wrapped up beautifully, was working 7/14 and said she would be there till 11pm. The place was very clean, they acknowledged my platinum elite status and upgraded my room, they had 24 hour juice and coffee in the kitchen, we did use the laundry and it too was clean. Nice gym, and they accommodated my extras request at check in. Overall excellent stay!
