I stopped here on Sunday, 02-25-24 on a bus trip. The bathroom was clean. The Little Caesar's cheese deep dish pizza was hot. The price sheet on the wall showed it to be $7.99, but it rang up for $8.99 at the register. There was a large selection of drinks. I ended up getting a Diet Pepsi and a Natalie's blood orange juice. I bought a few snacks, including my favorite Bigs Old Bay sunflower seeds. I bought lottery tickets with the cashier as the self service machine I tried to use wasn't working (closer to the massage chairs). The bathroom was clean. This is a nice place to stop when travelling on I85 between Richmond and Durham. There are not a lot of options so take advantage of it. The place has been clean the two times I was there- they have a subway, dunkin donuts and a little caesars oven drawer set up. We grabbed a little Caesar's and it was actually pretty good. Clean nice and well stocked travel station. The cashiers are really friendly and fast. The bathrooms were amazingly sparkling clean and smelled fabulous. Gas prices are low and there's a gambling slot arcade as well. Don't forget to say hi to "Charlie" the mascot cat that welcomes you when you're there. He's adorable and loved. I always travel with my dog (and sometimes kids), and the was the nicest Dog Park stop I've been to when traveling at a gas travel station. Usually it's just some grass and a stick with a sign, but this one has nice new white fence. Lots of green grass. Benches to sit and enjoy fresh air before you hit the road again. We stopped at Davis Travel Center for a quick bite to eat at their Subway and to use the restrooms here. This place had very clean restrooms, something that is rare at gas stations and the staff was friendly. My wife will not use public restrooms, she hates them and will only use hotel restrooms and she actually was impressed with this place, so that says a lot. If you are in this location and need gas, to take a restroom break, or pick up some snacks, this is a great place to stop. They sell some interesting things in their gift shop area. It's bad enough that 99% of the time they only have 1 register open no matter what time you go in the store. At least 4 gas pumps don't work currently. They do not price anything in the store and had the nerve to charge me 9.51 for a pint of ice cream! This store is a complete rip off that carters to buses because they sell 5 cartons of cigarettes to every person on the bus that is going back to New York. Don't waste your time going inside. This place doesn't have much compared to other travel centers, the service i slsow and the Dunkin donuts is tiny and self service. Who ever makes the coffee there definetly does not make it to the regular Dunkin donut standards, poured a cup and it was so light and watered down, more like colored water than coffee. This is a nice spot to stop when traveling north or south on I-95. Clean restrooms and Starbucks. It can get quite busy so be prepared.

Used to enjoy stopping here when traveling and passing through, but as of June, they have ceased to accept EBT. There are eateries attached to the travel center that only accept cash, debit, and credit; it would make sense that the convenience store portion of the store accept EBT for traveling lite on cash. 40 Tour Buses a night cannot be wrong. When traveling on Rt 85 in Virginia this place is a great place to stop for gas and other necessities. On site they have a Subway and let's all agree Subway is Subway is Subway, they are all the same and have the same menu. If you like one you like them all. The also have a Dunkin Donuts, coffee and donuts what can you add. Gas prices are low, the bathrooms are clean, the store has a huge assortment of snacks, drinks and souvenirs. Pretty nice stop on I85. They have everything and it's open and clean. Relatively inexpensive gas, too. Much like the QT stations you find further south. We had gassed up at a station earlier but that station's convenience store didn't have what we wanted for snacks, so we grumbled and drove on. Davis came to the rescue. read more

Nestled in a clearing off exit 39, the Davis Travel Center is a good place to stretch the legs and take a break from the pine tree monotony that is I-85. But its like the secret truck stop. There are signs for it for miles on both I-95 and I-85 but I've hardly ever seen more than a few cars and a couple of trucks here. A big combo convenience store / Dunkin Donuts / Subway with reasonably priced gas, I've stopped many times to fuel up and grab something for the road. The convenience store has a good selection of beverages and prepared foods but its more like a big gas station convenience store than a traditional truckstop one where you can pick up the oddest assortment of things. I've recently enjoyed the addition of corn dogs to the food selections and have successfully mastered the maneuvering of and SUV up the on ramp without getting mustard everywhere. Big parking lot too where you can catch a few Zs if you're too tired to drive. Nice as this section of the highway is decidedly rest stop no mans land. read more

I stopped at this location on my travel from Greensboro NC to Ashland VA. I stopped to use the restroom, and grab a few drinks. The restroom was subpar. This is a very nice place to stop in the middle of "nowhere." Conveniently located very close to the exit on and off of I-85. I've never seen this place not busy. The store is very clean and so are the restrooms. Lots of variety and selection in the store. Gas is reasonable and they have lotto ticket kiosk. Staff has always been very friendly. The attached Subway however has terrible service and always a long wait.
