I had the services for about five years. There was a need for a lot of maintenance as the equipment…read moreoften failed to work. Eventually, my outside camera stopped working. My wife called them to ask for a replacement and was told we would have to upgrade the entire system. I didn't have such issues with ADT so I decided to cancel the services with Vivint and get a system with ADT. I called Vivint several times to cancel my services. Each time I was interrogated regarding the reason I wanted to cancel and was subjected to attempts to get me to upgrade my system. When that didn't work, I was put on hold several times. When that didn't work, they simply hung up the phone. This went on for months and I didn't use their system. Instead of them canceling my services as I requested, they continued to bill me. I found this out when a collection agency sent me a letter. This was so unprofessional of Vivint. A person has the Right to cancel their services. I tend to believe that I am not the only one who has had this issue with them. Something is strange about this company. One customer service rep became panicky when I pressed him 10 straight times to cancel my service and proclaimed that he "didn't want to lose his job." That was not my problem. All I wanted was my service cancelled as requested. I will never use Vivint again and do not recommend them for your security needs. They do that adequately, but their equipment needs a lot of maintenance and getting a cancellation is frustrating, time consuming, and may require legal action.

On Wednesday, 12/6/22 they arrived as promised. It was a very rainy day, which slowed them up, but they came back on Thursday, 12/07/2022. It went after dark, but they said the install would be done before they left.It was. They stayed until it was completely done. They came back the day after to educate me on it's operation, until I understood it fully. (Not much to it, but I asked all the questions I could think of. No one knows when the need for a home generator will come, but it will come. We went through Synchrony bank and received a 5.99% apr until it paid in full. We are most pleased with the total experience. Call them, and you will see why. Yelp reviews gives an opprotunity to add a pic or two, which I did, but I didn't expect them to be sent to their website pics with their employees and business. The pricing seemed a little high though for the 30 minutes they spent. Because I was a first time customer, the $69.00 service fee was waived since work was done. That was enticing when I first called but later realized this was simply offset in the work fee. The work charge came out to $156.00 plus a TFS fee of $14.75 (no idea what a TFS fee is) for a total of $170.75. Assuming drive time of 30 minutes and onsite work of 30 minutes, that hour should have billed out at $75.00 to $100.00.
