I had 2 ultra sound, 2 CT scans with contrast, and labs. The doctor came in with the results, made 2 referrals to specialists, discussed diet and things to watch for. I was out the door by 11:30. Best treatment I have received in the Rogue Valley for years. Thank you!

Having been to several urgent care facilities in both Medford and Ashland for both urgent and…read moreroutine medical services while we wait to find a new primary care physician, I can say quite confidently that this is the best. The support staff appear to be better trained in their people skills, the facility is newer/cleaner, and the providers just seem to be less rushed and more pleasant. Our experience this morning was 5-stars across the board. The provider was a NP, not an MD, but for this visit (a UTI), it was adequate. He was attentive, friendly, and listened well -- as well as explaining things in a caring fashion. In comparison, I have been thoroughly unimpressed by Asante, having dealt with both their urgent and emergency care services. I will say that the people in the billing / financial departments at Asante are very pleasant and professional, but I'm afraid that is the only "A" I can award. Everything else was a solid C with even a few C- grades in places, bordering on a D.

After several years as a patient at "Gastroenterology Consultants", I received a new care provider…read more Her name is Niki Brown, FNP. She is refreshing, excellenand an expert in her field. Her enthusiasm for making certain that she listens to the patient and truly understands the issues is rare and much appreciated. I have taught nursing and advanced nursing practice and Niki exemplifies the best of what I hope my former students have achieved. As a result of Niki's interest and interventions, the problem I had is now greatly reduced and more under control. I believe I have a true advocate in Niki and am so very pleased we have connected. When the occasion arises, and someone asks for a recommendation, I will rapidly suggest they schedule an appointment specifically with her. It is my hope that "Gastroenterology Consultants" is aware of the excellence of this nurse and pleased to know that she chooses to be a member of your staff. Diane M. Cooper, RN, PhD

I have been a patient here for several years now. But not anymore because they will not see me…read moresince they became part of the Asante group because they don't take medicare advantage plan. They have said that because I won't change my insurance to one they accept they can no longer see me even though I do have medicare. I offered to pay cash for visits but they said that they still can not see me because I still have medicare. I have a perscription that has no refills left on it and I have no way to get it filled. It really sucks because there are no other gastroenterology providers in the Medford area. I was told that there were approximately 200 patients they dropped because of the insurance we have. Pretty sad when they think it is okay to drop us if we don't change our insurance to one they accept. I will never go to any Asante facility or recommend it to anyone at all in the future. Not a good look for a regional hopital at all.
