If you go on a day that she is there, ask to be seated in her section. Good service with good food has a tendency to take your experience to atmospheric levels! The bread baskets were filled with rustic Italian bread that was so delicious I thought I was at a trattoria in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Instead of butter, the upscale olive oil dip was very authentic. The menu offers a wide variety of choices for everyone that appeals to carnivores and vegetarians alike. Pastas, beef, pork, lamb and seafood. I asked to substitute one starch for another and the chef made it happen! The food was incredibly fresh. My dining companions has the Maple glazed salmon. The other had the lamb chops. Both raved about the freshness of their meals as well as the perfection to which their dishes were cooked! I had the scallops and substituted the starch with Truffle Fries. The theatrics associated with the presentation of my scallops was breathtaking. It was au flambé! They were so fresh and slightly crusted, i'd never tasted anything that delicious before. Even popular and legendary EAST COAST seafood restaurants could learn a lot about the preparation and presentation of scallops. My meal appropriately mixed textures, tangy tartness and sweetness in the veggie dish consisting of chopped zucchini sweet potatoes and spinach. The way that our meals were plated and presented was sheer "ART," worthy of a museum display. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny! If I were to recommend an enhancement, I'd recommend some soft background music/jazz or a singer and pianist. It's that type of place. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. The Food Bazaar is an interesting mashup of a buffet and a food court; there are 6 food stations each with a different food style and most of the food is either cooked fresh or assembled to order. The price is $ 25 for lunch and $40 for dinner, I got the lunch. Because I am pescetarian I only got items from the seafood station and the Italian station, along with some desserts. The seafood station was not cooking the items to order, but did assemble the food for each order. I tried the Lobster Roll, the Shrimp Cocktail, the Shrimp Ceviche, and the Cod Po Boy. Of the items I tried the best were the Po Boy with nicely fried cod and a good remoulade sauce and the Shrimp Cocktail, with large plump boiled shrimp and a tangy cocktail sauce. The lobster roll was very disappointing since it seemed to be made with imitation lobster and designed to mask the flavor rather then highlight the lobster texture and flavor. The Italian station delivered far better with an order of Shrimp Pesto Pasta and a Marguerite Pizza both of which were prepared fresh. The pizza was good with a tasty crust, tomatoey sauce and fresh mozzarella. The crust was a bit soft in the center and the pizza would have benefitted from some fresh basil or other seasoning. The Pesto pasta was excellent, plenty of herb and garlic, accented with shaved ptarmigan cheese; the shrimp were good although a bit on the small side. I did try the chocolate cake and the Matcha Creme Brulee. The cake was nice, it could have a been a bit moister and the promised sauce was not there. The flavors of the Creme Brulee did not come together with the cold blueberries overpowering the custard. Overall my experience at the Food Bazaar was just OK, which at the price they are charging is not worth a recommendation. Some of the food was really good, in my case it was the Italian food, other food was truly disappointing. Service was good, although nothing special. This is an interesting concept that could be great if the execution were better and more consistent.

The person that seated us also was running food and ensuring tables were kept clean. Since it had been so long since I dined here, the menu appeared smaller. I appreciated that our server Adam explained some of his favorites. The cocktail that I got was excellent. The cornbread appetizer was huge. I went with the gumbo and it was full of meat pieces. It was really flavorful. Adam was super friendly and made us feel welcome. Parking lot is tight, but they also offer valet.
