What a terrible experience, not only was the other artist late but they didn't even match my face color with my body and I got dinged for it on my placing. This would have never happened with Briana! She is always right now target with the color match and just enough drama to the makeup without looking overdone or too boring. This experience just made me further appreciate Briana. Highly recommend her to anyone.

After leaving a message, Briana promptly called me back, heard me out, demonstrated true concern for my time constraint and how to best approach my deadline, and was able to squeeze me in. Briana is professional, knowledgeable, talented, patient, personable, and vigilant of one's time. She asked about and addressed any concerns I might have whether they were related to my hair or makeup, and what I was willing to use considering my skin sensitivity. All in all the appointment was a very pleasant experience, and I left with the exact look I had been imagining. A natural, yet beautiful look where I still felt like me. I highly recommend Briana, because she will patiently and happily go above and beyond to help you narrow down what you want to achieve (look wise), and then fulfill the look you're going for.

Photo attached, taken on July 4th, the day after. My hair was fried from HOURS in bleach. The color was inconsistent. I ended up crying on the floor of Target to buy bleach just so I could have something that looked close to normal. I had to chop off 6 inches of hair and give myself bangs because of the sheer volume of fried hair. It is several months later and I have spent close to $2500 trying to fix my hair. The ends are still crispy and break off and my hair is barely chin length. Of note, he barely wore a mask the entire time. He also left bleach in my hair while he went into the hallway to argue with a girl who took a photo of him doing hair without a mask. He also commented on my husband who is of Chinese descent something to the effect of "I love Asian men! They are like f*cking a dolphin because they are so smooth!" He also kept sneaking in the back to take shots of vodka so pretty sure he wasn't sober most of the time. These are just the highlights of the experience. Suffice it to say, I will not be going back and I would not recommend this business to anyone I want to remain friends with.

I did a lot of research online about makeup artists in the bay area and decided that there were a few that sounded like they really knew what they were doing, and so I figured I should give them all a try. I booked trials (on the same day) just to be able to compare and pick the best. My fiancé (now husband) came along with me for my trials. I had some disappointing experiences that day, and then we went to see Myrium. Right off the bat my husband was "hands down you need to have Myrium do your makeup on the day of the wedding" Not only did he love her work (which says a lot) I was completely impressed as well. Do yourself a favor and have a trial done by her if your looking for a makeup artist for your wedding, I promise you will not be disappointed. Her and her team are super friendly and professional as well which is a big plus. She def. knows how to give you that flawless look every bride is looking for on their big day. Can't say enough great things about her and her work!

We had a trial and a styling appointment beforehand, where I described the look I was going for, and she gave many useful tips and suggestions on how we can achieve it. Fast forward to the wedding day- Myrium was very punctual. We had organized for her to bring 2 assistants along to do my family members' hair and makeup, however one of the assistants did not show as her car broke down. Myrium was very apologetic and made sure that she and the other assistant got everybody ready on time. Myrium made me look like a princess on my wedding day, and kept me so calm while she was working on my hair and makeup. I was stunned at the outcome, and everyone could not stop complimenting my subtle yet striking bridal makeup and beautiful updo for the morning ceremony. I had one hour between the wedding ceremony and reception for Myrium to completely change my look- she re-did my hair and makeup quickly and efficiently, and gave me a totally new dazzling look for the evening. I do not have enough good things to say about my experience with her- she is AMAZING. I consider her one of my best wedding vendors. If you are looking for a reliable and professional make up artist who is also great to talk to, I HIGHLY recommend Myrium.

Candelaria Beauty should work on transparency and honesty with prospective clients. I submitted an…read moreinquiry to Candelaria about a month ago and received an immediate response and talked with Cassie the same day. At the time we spoke, she stated that other people had inquired about my date, but something should work (even going as far as to say that people with my wedding planner got some sort of preference). The phone call ended with her saying she would send me a proposal that evening. When the proposal did not come, I followed up one week later and received no response. Two weeks later, I received an email from Cassie saying that after our phone call she realized that she could not put together a team for me, followed by some boilerplate rhetoric about how she wants only people she knows that can fit my wedding needs to help me. This email honestly came too late. If there was any issue with availability that needs to be immediately communicated. The wedding industry can be complex and stressful. Especially, when it comes to ensuring availability of the vendors you want. Waiting this long to express an availability issue put me at a disadvantage for reaching out to other vendors (I have done so but after speaking with Candelaria they were my top pick and I wanted to wait for a proposal). This all comes after I expressed to Candelaria that scheduling makeup was my biggest wedding stressor. After this experience, their concern for their customers and interest in their "special day" rings hollow. From other reviews, this seems to be a common theme. This practice is unprofessional and hurts people. They seem really nice and like they are talented makeup artists. However, they need to work on their communication and transparency instead of stringing prospective clients along.
