I parked my Car here. I forgot to put the ticket in my window. The Owner of the lot knew I had Paid. But he still called Western Towing and had my 2017 Shelby towed. What a POS. It cost me $600.00 to get my car back. No Attendant. No Security. No Cameras. Cars can be stolen and the Owner claims No Responsibility for anything. Stay away from this place. Crooks. My Plate # was recorded at the time I Paid. My car was on their list of Paid Customers. Why would the Owner have my car towed off. The Owner bad mouthed me saying I don't know how to read. This place is horrible. We parked our car for a week because we flew out to Mexico, we paid over $200 and when we came back our car had been hit. When we asked about what had happened they said they didn't know and that we should put a claim through our insurance. Why are we paying so much if we take the same risk of being hit as in the street? Unbelievable!! Do not park here, please read the reviews before you park there. Convenient location (the San Ysidro Trolley Station is just a block away & about 5~10 minutes away from the U.S.-Mexico border turnstiles), but expect a long wait just to get into the parking lot (my car was in standstill for 20~30 minutes). Hard to get in, easy to get out. Parking rates: 0 ~ 8 hours: $7 8 ~ 16 hours: $14 16 ~ 24 hours: $21 Lost ticket: $21 Van, truck, and RV: $10 for 0 ~ 8 hours, $30 daily If you are one minute over the 8-hour period (say 8 hours and 1 minute), then you will pay the rate at the next tier (basically extra $7). On a positive note, it is a fairly safe and secure lot. I was heading south with some friends, and decided to give this place a shot. Normally, I drive down, but there was a big group of us, so we ended up deciding to walk across. And I didn't want to spend too much on parking on this side. This appears to be the cheapest place to park at the border. You get EXACTLY 8 hours or less for $7.00. One minute late, and it cost you an additional $7.00. Absolutely no grace period on this. So in reality, it costs most people $14 bucks to spend a day south of the border. Lose your ticket, and it's $21 bucks per day. The lot isn't anything special; your car bakes in the sun, and I don't believe anybody walks around to check on things. This isn't, by any means a glamour business, but there are some things they could change to make it better. Like increasing the number of parking slots (seems to be a lot of wasted space) and using the extra money to hire a security guard. The area where you enter the lot is chaotic - it would be simple enough to move it deeper into the property. That would also take some more traffic off of the public road. read more

Apparently, this is the "Behind the Jack in the Box" parking lot where I stashed my wheels before walking into Mexico. It was a flat $7 for 8 hours. Cash only. Pay in the way in, but if you are one second over the allotted time, you pay another $7. Not really a biggie. From there we walked directly into Mexico on the new course which begins about a block away. Just follow the signs. It is on the side opposite the larger pedestrian covered elevated pathway. Taxis available after customs to take you to El Centro for $5. Seems the best way to get in and out with least hassle. read more

$7 for 8 hours parking until 11pm !!!!! Walking to Tijuana is maybe 5min. Not sure about other places but this parking lot seems to have the cheapest parking. The other one was for $15, $20 or $25. Keep and don't lose your ticket or you'll be doomed. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. I parked there today because I had a dentist appointment on the other side of the border. I was charged $18 to get into the parking. I got there 8:30am and was back by 11:20am. I had lost my ticket in Tj and the same guy that charged me the $18 told me that he was charging me $54 for loosing my ticket. I thought he was playing around and I laughed. I waited for him to open the gate and he was being serious about the $54 he told me, "There's an ATM down there, reverse, park and go get the money." As you can imagine I was extremely upset. He made me pay $72 for parking there for 3 hours. No where does it say $54 for loosing ticket. read more

It should be no stars! I am a handicap person and they wouldn't let me park in a handicap spot! My husband told the man that it is a united States law and they are not supposed to block the parking spots! And they were very rude and unprofessional! After we confronted them they refused for us to park there. So my husband had to drop me off at the gate so he had to park far away in the parking lot. After our day of shopping. We came back and the guy had unblocked the handicap spots. And my husband confronted him again! And telling him that he is going to be reported for this incident! read more

This is the cheapest parking you will find in the area. It is $7 for 8 hours. The sign on the board can look confusing :) All the parking around this area is costly and so this place is kind of crowded. We waited almost 45 mins to get a parking spot on a Saturday. Not sure how congested it is during weekdays. But it definitely beats paying $25 for few hours of parking. This place is not your upscale computerized parking. It is just a person at the counter coming and giving you a ticket and the same person checks you out. Good cheap parking. If you end up parking at the back of the lot, it may not be very clean. If I could give Zero stars I would. My friends car battery went dead while in the lot. They refused to help her. She called me and went to rescue her. I didn't know which parking lot she was in so the first and second places I went let me in to see if she was there with out charging me and not even asking any questions... just "Sure, go ahead and see." then I get here and he says he rudely says he won't let me un unless I pay. I asked to speak to the manager. He comes over and says the same thing. after I argue with him for a couple of minutes, I ask to speak to the owner. He says when I pay, he will get me the owners info. So I paid and went in. jump started the car and headed back out with in 5 minutes. At the gate I asked for the owners card and the attendant gave me a paper with a name and phone number on it. the manager was not around so I called the number before leaving the lot. The phone rang in the attendants booth... then I flew off the handle and asked to speak to the manager again. he came out of the office when I found that the name was his as well. He refused to give me the info he said he would if I paid him. He claimed he didn't know his boss or the owner and had no way of getting in touch with either one of them. He lied to me. Then he charged my friend extra when the time went over because her car was broke down. I asked why they didn't help her... "We aren't here to help people we are a parking lot. we're in business to make money" There is no knowledge of customer service at this business.... they remind me of slumlord that takes advantage of people when they are in trouble. There are several other lots near by. Avoid this one behind the Jack in the Box. The Manager's name is Angel, but don't let that fool you... he's the devil out for greed and money. UPDATE... 5-11-2015 So I kept calling asking to speak to the owner and Angel kept lying to me saying he had no way of getting ahold of the owner... but I kept trying, faxing, leaving messages. then this parking lot, instead of letting my talk to Angels supervisor, calls the police on me for harrassment. I told the police that all I wanted was to speak to the owner. well miraculously, Angel suddenly had the owners information which the officer gave me, proving he was lying the whole time. I called the owner once and had a brief chat with him. Still no apology. Then I get a call from the parking lot's attorney. He is going to do an investigation into the matter. Within a week I receive a letter from the attorney threatening to reveal personal information on the internet about my back taxes, how I fabricated stories, how i need anger managment and was drunk and how I drive a BMW, if I didn't take this post down and retract my complaint with the BBB. All this company would have to do is refund the parking fee, apologize for lying to me and maybe give a credit for next time we park there.... but instead they hire an attorney to spend hours going through the parking lot video and interogating employees, only to threaten a customer who gave them a bad review. That is exactly the kind of company that this is. and for the record I am in dispute with the state on a tax issue, I drive 8 year old BMW with over 100,000 miles on it that picked up for cheap because it has a salvage title for being in a major accident. I hadnt been drinking, rarely do I get drunk, Ive never been questioned for anger issues in my life aand my stories aren't fabricated, it's all true. True, I was angry that they lied to me repeateded, but that would make anyone angry. Amazing they would rather go here instead of doing the right thing. A refund of parking charges and an apology? Wish I could give this place no stars. My truck needed to be towed. They told me I would have to pay a $10.00 fee to let the truck in. I asked why they were taking advantage of someone whose truck broke down. They told me it was their policy. Winds up the tow truck couldn't fit through the gate. They told me I would have to push it out of the lot or after a certain time it would be impounded! All this because my truck broke down! Not only did they not care, they were blatantly taking advantage of my misfortune. They saw it as a way not to help, but to make money. I finally got my truck started and drove home. This lot is located behind the Jack In The Box. NEVER park there because this could easily happen to you. I called three other parking lots in San Ysidro. As so many others have stated, "I would give 0 stars if that were an option" (even more so if negative integers (stars) were available). In any event I went there as a lockout service provider for a customer: She had locked herself out of her car and I had responded to her request. From base, I drove 21 miles, one way and had made good time in arriving promptly. Once there, the gate attendant would not allow my service vehicle into the lot to find my customer (Oh, by the way, THEIR customer, too!) This is the first time in my entire life that I was denied FREE entry into ANY parking facility or structure for the purpose of helping an individual under similar circumstances. It well may be the cheapest parking at this border crossing BUT with no (easily remedied) policy in place to allow exceptions for situations such as this it IS the most heartless parking facility I have ever encountered and with the cheesiest and greediest management/ownership as well. Also, just as an observation, it does not appear to be a very secure place against theft, assault, etc. If you want cheap parking BUYER BEWARE! You get what you pay for... So just don't have any unexpected problems and you should? be OK. read more

im not giving these low lifes 1 star at all! my 18 year old daughter was charged more money even though she was within the correct time already paid for and she gave the jerk $3.50 (all she had) and he was trying to take her personal items, like her iphone 6 to cover the remaining $3.50 balance! how crooked and rude that jerk was to my daughter!!!!!!!!!! i told him how dare he treat my daughter that way and that i wanted to speak to his supervisor, he laughed and turned his back to me!!!!!! after i begged the guy behind my daughters car for the 3.50 to pay, i asked the attendant for his name and he just ignored me.....this is not ok and will not be left like this! read more
