Good things about it: -It is really close to the border crossing walkway, about 10 minutes (Could be less). -It is a gated lot and there is a person in the entrance booth. "Peace of mind." -There is a money exchange (I didn't use it and don't know how it works), I didn't see a person there, just an ATM machine. Bad things about it: -It is a bit pricey, especially on the weekends. -The money exchange was closed today (Saturday). This lot is less than a block away from the Las Americas Outlets (San Ysidro Outlets), so if you don't want to pay, you can park at the outlets for 5-8hours for free. I've parked there before with no issues. I just don't know if the paid lot is worth the money for the peace of mind. Even though it is gated, people can still come in and out even if they don't have a vehicle parked there, all they have to do is get into your vehicle and paid the exit fee and there goes your vehicle. I have utilized this place a handful of times now for short trips to Tijuana to visit family. It's not really cheap, I believe I paid $53 for 25hrs total. It has been a safe experience every time and I hope it continues to be. Short walk to the pedestrian border crossing that I utilize here. Tesla charger nearby too but not on same property. Parking the car in the USA and walking over the Border between the USA and Mexico is such a concept, eh? We did consider parking at a nearby shopping center for free. However, the risk of being towed isn't worth it. We decided to leave the car at this 24 Hour parking lot. We swiped a credit card to raise the arm of the gate, then later, swiped again and paid the $18 flat rate. The challenge was to remember where the car was parked because there were no numbers on the ground to indicate any stall. When we returned to the car in the evening, everything seemed intact. I've been going to the dentist in Tijuana for the last 10 years. I drive down from L.A., and I always park here and walk across the border. The rates are absolutely worth it to me, as this lot is extremely convenient (especially since I'm usually back in the US within 10 hours). Staff has always been nice and helpful. I don't want to invalidate anyone else's experience, yet I do feel very comfortable leaving my car here as well. This parking should definitely be avoided. I purchased in advance and was emailed a barcode to open the gate into the lot. The barcode did not work. The attendant in the kiosk was surly and unhelpful. We did finally get in. Upon retrieving our car at 5.00pm and trying to exit, the barcode did not open the gate. There was no attendant on duty, the help button produced zero response and our only option to be able to leave was to purchase parking again from their machine. read more

I have parked at this lot a dozen times. Never had a problem. Attendant is always there. Seems safe enough. Cost is minimal.

The facility at the LAZ border parking station appears secure with a good fence and parking near a manned entry station. I parked for 6.5 hours and put my vehicle in easy view of the parking attendant. Very disappointed to then find that my vehicle was broken into With 2 windows smashed. There was nothing to steal so they also vandalized it. I contacted the lot's management who pointed out their no liability policy. They did say they would refund the parking fee but never did. Strongly recommend against using this parking lot. My opinion is that with the volume of traffic they have they can afford a security service to protect their customer's property and are negligent for not doing so. read more

Great place to leave your car parked if you're going to walk to the border. I left my car here for about 3 days and my car was safe. I read some reviews that some people had issues but luckily I didn't. Also the area is very clean and well taken care of so I felt comfortable leaving it there. The parking is pretty affordable too if you're thinking of leaving it there overnight or for a day. Overall it's safe and you'll leave with peace of mind knowing you're car will be secure. read more

We parked here because we were traveling through Tijuana to get to Cancun Surprisingly the parking was reasonable and it was easy to find a parking spot. We originally thought we would not get parking because we couldn't reserve a spot. But there was plenty of parking, and we were able to get in and out quickly. I have seen the area develop for the past 35 years. I remember when it was a dirt field, and parking was wherever you wanted to park. Like smacked asses, vehicles were everywhere. This lot is valuable because of it's location to Ped West, and there is an attendant 24/7. Also, the lot is surrounded by a fence. I have never experienced any security issues while parked in this lot. Everything being said, PW has been closed for some time. Current pricing is through the roof. Other than holidays, I have never seen such parking premiums, and is reflected by the very few cars parked there today. This place used to be great. It used to be one of the best parking lots down on the border. It was $7 per day, so if you stayed in TJ for 3 nights it would be $21 plain and simple. The employees were great and very helpful. Now it is a tourist trap. Now if you stay for a few days it can run you over $100. There is no longer the bus that drives you back and forth to TJ. They have tried multiple things to try to make money including a swap meet. They tried everything instead of trying to be the best parking lot. They even got rid of the restrooms which were great when your waiting in line at the border for hours. There are only two pluses here. It cost $18 to park here for up to 10 hours. We paid $18 for 8 hours. It was close to the bridge to go into Tijuana, Mexico. You insert your credit/debit card as a ticket to get inside the parking lot (you will not get charged but inserting your card tracks how long you park your car in the parking lot) then the gated arm thing will lift up and you can drive and find a parking spot, after you're ready to leave the parking lot you insert your credit/debit card again and then you will get charged for how ever long you stayed in the parking lot and then the arm gate thing will lift up and you'll be able to leave to your next destination. A like to come to Tijuan, but I never take my car to Mexico, because the waiting line is horrible, last time it took me 3 hours to cross the border, so now, every time that I need to cross, I leave my car in this place, which is a really convenient, non expensive and a secure place. The Chaparral border line is across the street, so you don't have to walk a lot, and is mostly always empty in both ways. When crossing the line, are taxis outside always waiting for customers, $200 pesos from there to the airport, and if you know the city well, you can use public transportation $15 pesos per person. read more

Going to Tijuana? Park & walk. This lot offers flat rate $25 parking for the entire day. Quick and easy for those driving and in need of a secure lot. There's an attendant on-site. You grab a ticket at the entrance gate and pay upon exiting. The lot is crowded but it's a much better option than driving across the border and waiting in traffic for hours & hours. I took my chances on foot and saved myself a real hassle. I still stood in the Customs line for a couple of hours but it was certainly better and less risky than running out of gas lol... This is one of many parking lots on the US side before you cross over into Mexico. Weekends are packed and you must get here early or they will block the entrance because there will be no spots left to park. Price is $15 for every 12 hours. So for a weekend trip (Saturday to Sunday) it'll be about $45. The best way is to lay with your credit card at the entrance. The credit card you used should be the same one to exit because it will remember your card as the "ticket". Don't be those people who take forever at the gate. Just swipe and go quick.
