Parked here to walk over the border and spend an evening in TJ. Prices are a bit on the high side and the parking lot looks somewhat rundown with potholes and weeds. In the end my car was safe and I was able to cross the border quickly so it was OK. read more

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this parking lot for an overnight or multi-day stay. I left my car here from Friday to Monday and paid $165, only to return and find that someone had apparently tried to break into my vehicle and broke a piece off of it in the process. For the amount they charge, I expected my vehicle to be in a reasonably secure location. Coming back from a trip to find damage consistent with an attempted break-in was extremely upsetting and completely unacceptable. If you're considering leaving your vehicle here for several days, please be cautious. I certainly will not be parking here again. read more

Easy to get to and one of the closest parkings to the border for several hours of parking. Saturday you pay in 8 hr increments. I came in at 2 and prepaid 18, cash only, left at 11, and had to pay another 18 for the extra hour. Confirmed that would have been the same until 6. So plan your return or cash fee. Exit as pedestrian is a steep hill, well lit and strong Guardrails, but homeless camp in the grassy hills, so don't be startled read more

Instead of charging me $15 for eight hours they charge me $150 and unfortunately I did not get a receipt because it said $15 on their cashier LCD when I was exiting the parking lot, and there is no number to call. The number is disconnected, so I am disputing the charge through my bank. Make sure together receipt every time. read more

I parked here for a weekend stay in TJ. I let the attendant know this when I arrived and received my ticket. He said that it was fine and charged me $8 to enter and said it would be $12 a day after that (Fri, Sat, exit on Sun). When I went to pay, the attendant told me I owed $114! I was shocked- I explained to him what I was told when I first arrived and he just kept saying, "No, that's not how it works here. Our rate is only for 8 hours, read the signs." I told him I understood what the signs said, but I had specifically asked about overnight when I first arrived, otherwise I would've parked elsewhere. Reluctantly, he brought the price down to $90. I'm never parking here again. Attendants make up their own rules and rates as they go. Lack of professionalism and clearly just in it for the profit. read more

Safe parking lot for any amount of time needed to need to leave your car. the pricy can be a lot sometimes but good location

Got there Thursday 5pm and planned on leaving Saturday 5pm. They charged $40 up front. Minus a star because it's CASH ONLY. There's a CITI Bank ATM to the right of the parking lot next to the McDonalds. There were a few transients hovering around the ATM while I used it so be careful. REALLY tight parking spaces so don't drive and park your weekend car there. read more

I drove down to San Ysidro to cross the US-Mexican border into Tijuana on foot. From my research, I knew that I'd have to park the car in a lot but didn't know a specific one ahead of time. I found Gateway after being unsuccessful getting a spot in allot closer to PedWest. The rate is $20 for 8 hours. The man at the lot said that, if I returned after 8 hours, it's another $20. However, I could pay $25 for 10 hours. I went with that. The lot gives you a slip of paper - filled with your car details and how long you have paid to park there - that you place on your dashboard. When you return, you see the attendant to confirm what time you've arrived to retrieve your car, and then you can drive off the lot. I will park here again next time I'm crossing into TJ. read more

Gateway Parking - You place this slip on your dashboard before you leave your car - Parking Near Me - San Diego, California

Came in on 2/18/24 in the morning. The parking attendant had me park. He did not give me a ticket or ask for any information. I came back from Tijuana in the afternoon. Another attemdant on second shift asked me for a number or ticket. I told him I did not get either. Instead of the attendant who failed to perform his duties getting reprimanded, i did with a lecture from the attendant saying I should have asked for those in advance. The attendant then overcharged me $30 for parking, tried to take my government identification and took pictures of my car. If you want to deal with incompetence from others and be blamed for it, come to this parking business. I will never come back here again. Not when Lion Parking is 1/3 the price in Otay Mesa. read more

Very safe the guys working are very nice and give plenty of information. It does look like there is a new owner ship though.

As close as you're going to get to the border before crossing. They're very professional but I'm sure you can find super cheaper the farther you get away from the border but you get what you pay for! read more

Went on a weekend trip a cross the border and parked here for the weekend. It's an uncovered large lot that uses your phone number as your parking ticket. You enter your phone number to retrieve the final amount owed when you leave the lot. It's not very clear what the daily/hourly rates were but by my calculation it was about 50$ a day for 3 days or $36 a day for 4 days, not sure what the cut off was so maybe I got charged for 4 days. read more

I left my car for 24hrs, I left comfortable bcs I had read other reviews and they seemed to be safe! I would do it again! My sister picked me up and dropped me off and the guys at the front were super nice! They make you feel really comfortable, I definitely recommend. read more

I like parking here because it close to the border crossing. However, my first time parking there, my card was skimmed and several very large fraudulent charges were made on my card. Fortunately my bank caught all of them and blocked my card. BEWARE!!! read more

This used to be a great place to park. But with the new ticketless system it is highway robbery. Parked her on Thursday at 12:45pm rate posted $8 per 6 hours I came back Saturday to pick up my car. Said it was 2 days and 1 hour by my math that is $72 max. They charged me $85 why? Before they would just charge you up front for the whole time it was better. This new system sucks for customers. read more

Do not park your vehicle here. My wife and I went down to Tijuana this past Saturday on 9/11 and paid $25.00 to park here thinking my truck would be safe especially paying that much. We left our truck there at 11:00 a.m. and came back at 7:00 p.m. The following day my wife went to open the passanger side car door and noticed a long scratch along the side of it, my vehicle is always parked in my garage so that did not happen at my house, also we did not go anywhere else. Reached out to them and they told me the manager will contact me and I still have not heard from him and I have called them 3 times since Sunday. They charge 25.00 a day to park there, you would think that they would have cameras or security for charging that much. I am also going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have been using this parking for a couple of years few weekends a year and it seems to be very reliable, safe, not so much that you will be saving $ money because you really don't. All these parking lots charge a lot. But I like the convenience of just walking a very short distance to the border into Tijuana. read more

We were here for a doctors appointment so we parked here and the guy at the booth told us it was $18 for the whole day. He did advise us to keep our ticket with us, so we did. On the way out we are told we need to pay an additional $18. We were not told there's a double charge for parking. DO NOT park here, there's Border Station Parking by the freeway that we usually park at for $30 for the whole day but chose to park here since it was "CHEAPER". read more

Awesome parking stop very close to the pedestrian border crossing it is a safe place to leave your car i left it for 3 days the prices are very reasonable would definitely park there again read more

Great location for parking when needing to cross the San Ysidro border crossing. Very reasonable price considering what they could charge!

Good place to park, was stuck at the border and worried that they would tow if I didn't get there in time. Call and assured me that they will not tow until days left unclaimed. Again be smart don't leave valuables and use common sense. read more

I always have a good experience here. 24 hours for $20. Exit immigration/customs and there you are... right by your car! Someone always on duty so I can't imagine how a car gets broken into. Heck, tip them the xtra $2 bucks from your $8 and watch how it works for ya. Been parking here since the 80's! Still safe n reliable. read more

I have used them a couple of times, no issues. Very close to the border and reasonable prices, specially weekdays.

Everytime I go across the border I park here. My car remains safe and secure until I return. The parking attendants are always helpful and courteous. read more

Great service and very responsive. We had a larger group and they worked to accommodate us.

I have always driven in to TJ, and yesterday I decided to try out walking across the border for the first time. I parked at Gateway. They were courteous and efficient. I will be recommending them to everyone. read more

Worked out great! My BMW remained safe and the vehicle was not tampered with like some of the horror stories I read for other locations. This was first time walking the border and I will definitely return to this location! I'll gladly pay the price so that my car is safe. The employees were also friendly and transparent about pricing at arrival and departure. read more
