Originally we purchased the B38 but had a slightly manufacturers defect and decided to trade it for an upgraded machine. Adina and Paul are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely care about their customers. They took the time to answer our questions and made the whole experience enjoyable. We live over in Lodi and drive more than an hour to get there, but it is absolutely worth the trip! Great selection, great people, and amazing customer service. I started out with bamboo needles, as do most beginners, and when they were driving me nuts, one of the wonderful women in the store lent me her ebony needles before I spent that much money on a set for myself. The lessons are fantastic and fun. I can't praise Jennifer highly enough! She makes knitting fun and pulls the group together. We became friends and are continuing with a knitting workshop with Jennifer. All the women in the store are supportive and instructive. No one appears to have an attitude. We are all beginners once. They seem eager to help.

It is filled with tons of beautiful quilting fabrics to choose from, as well as quilting books. My Tesla car did not fully self drive directly to the shop, it got me stuck in the back of a parking lot next door, from which I had to carefully back out from the long driveway with assistance from a passerby. However, I arrived in one piece to the Cotton Patch. The quilt shop had anything you might need for quilting, either as an early quilter or an experienced quilter. They offer quilting classes that you can sign up to take. They have a fine selection of BERNINA sewing machines and embroidery machines in a separate room inside the shop. I needed some recommendations about finishing a Hawaiian t-shirt quilt that I finished the blocks, and an experienced quilter that happened to be there, gave me some wonderful ideas written on a piece of scratch paper as to how I should do the sashing around my blocks in the quilt. She also helped me to pick out two complementary colors that would work well with all the colors of my 25 finished quilt blocks. I purchased 5.5 yards of cotton quilt fabrics and went home happily, with an idea as to how to put all of my blocks together in a finished quilt. I signed up for their store newsletter, and I look forward to getting tips and tricks from the quilt shop personnel who write it up monthly. The staff mentioned that they also participate in a quilt hop as well later in the year, and I look forward to hearing more about it. Do check out this shop, there are many sample quilts on display to look at for ideas. Parking is available in the back of this store, it's going down an alley right next to the shop.

I was lucky they were able to take in the extra items. When they agree to whatever you are bringing do not bring extra. 4 totes is 4 totes. If you have more either warm them that you are bringing more or schedule another appointment. Their space is finite and they only have so much room at any given time. Also no glass items, no picture frames, etc. Glass is a valid safety concern for them with the kids that come in with their folks to shop. Really appreciated how straightforward they were. I was in there not long ago, about a week almost two, I needed some stretching band or some fabric…read morethat would stretch, I bought a fanny pack and it was too small so I was going to alter it. I'm a man, I get that there may not be many men that come into a sewing shop. I also don't care to dress like I'm rich or well off I dress like I did when I was homeless. Anyway, I went in there with my girlfriend, and the women working behind the counter had attitude and this unwarranted disrespect from the get go with me; they wouldn't even look at me or talk to me when I was the one going in there to buy something as a customer and I was the one speaking to them asking where I could find what I was looking for or if they had it. They only looked and talked to my girlfriend, and when I said I needed the material they said a yard minimum mandatory, I didn't need a yard but okay, I tried on multiple accounts in this short lived interaction to be polite and push their disrespect off to the side and be peaceful, but the disrespect continued no matter what the neglect of speaking to me or looking at me continued, and the sense of urgency to get us out of the store was strong, and at a high volume. I did ask "do you all have a problem with men or something?" Trying to see if any men have come in there causing trouble before was my only intent with that question; the woman got so beside herself, and told me I'm not a nice man and had asked why I'm asking that, and I pointed out how they wouldn't look or talk to me when I was the one asking to buy something. They did not care, they flipped the script and acted like I was the problem the whole time. I was so irked about this, because I'm tired of dealing with people that look at me and judge me and treat like s**t just because of how I'm dressed, it doesn't even matter how polite and well spoken I am, but in this instance it was all so unwarranted and unkind and unnecessary. I will be going back there, because I like to sew, and keep my clothes as long as I can because it is hard to find a direct fit. I hope my experience improves with them. The woman who had made the biggest of problems, had worn overalls that had been a tan rust color, with a lot of bumblebees everywhere on them. I was so ready to get what I paid for and get out that I didn't catch any names. That kind of behavior is what urges me to buy online, when really I just want to support local places and buy what I need, no one should have to deal with getting ignored judged and mistreated as a customer or a person just on how they LOOK. If you are working or volunteering, or have problems in your life, or even sh**ty customers, it doesn't give any right to be disrespectful or judgmental or dismissive or any kind of rude behavior towards anyone, especially if it was not warranted.
