We can't say enough good things about Scottie, his wide knowledge and expert eye are the result of…read moreyears of experience and training. In our situation a disturbing noise was coming from the rear of our Class B RV. We were almost 3 thousand miles from home and the RV is home on our Road Trip. On Friday a tire store had referred us to Scottie as they felt we probably had a very serious problem beyond their skills. Showed up Monday morning 8am and Scottie took it for a drive. He was able to quickly determine that is was A) A defective tire (brand new tire) and B) A leak in the rear caused by a clogged filter. Thank you Scottie!!

For sure he says, I just had a cancellation so if you get here quick we can do it Once there we discuss it and come up with it's not to bad most likely a bearing and ring and pinion. How much I ask and please over estimate. He tells me 600$ labour and 400$ parts. Great I say, let's do it. I'm back in Nanaimo on Thursday, no problem he says. I called on Thursday as I was coming out of bamfield, hows it going I ask?? Looks real good, just bearings needed no ring and pinion, you have good ears to hear those bearings he tells me. Are we still on budget then I ask?? Oh ya he tells me but not ready till Friday. Ok I say Friday morning I call him up and ask if it's going to be done today and how much is the final bill?? I'm told 1875$ now!! Why so much more?? Ad ons he tells me! What ad ones?? It's only bearings!! He didn't want to tell me. We had some words to each other and he says pay me my money or I keep your truck. After an hour I call him back and agree to pay him but he won't take a credit card, cash only he says. Long story short,, the truck got towed out of there with the rear end takin apart and parts stuffed in a box. That night I decide to look at reviews, I wish I would have looked at them first. Many people have had the same kind of dealings with him. Just a thief praying on people. Say what someone wants to hear and once he has your car he can throw out any number he wants

Bought a 2016 Hyundai Elantra Sport from them. Noticed my engine sounded like a diesel and they…read moretold me it was my ac compressor (ac was still working when they told me that) and so I got my ac compressor replaced. $2500 out of my pocket because the insurance they upsold me didn't cover it. The issue was still there and I took my car back in, they said there was no issue with my car and the noise was normal. I took my car to a second mechanic because I knew something was wrong, 5 minutes into this random mechanic looking at my car he said I need a new engine. At this point I had been in and out of the dealer and so mentally drained because they told me it was my ac compressor, and kept telling me the engine noise was normal (it wasn't). I asked my partner to go in because I figured they would take a man more serious than me and they mentioned a recall on the hyundai engine in the Elantra I bought. When I got this car I was advised all recalls were completed (example: the trunk latch). They said they would take a picture of my engine and lowe and behold the borescope showed scoring on my engine (see the first picture). I got a replacement engine and all I got for their misdiagnosis and telling me my engine was normal was an apology from Brody. An apology for their errors that costed me time off work, stress, and $2500.00 out of my pocket for a car they had mentioned was reliable. I had driven this car after and mentioned shaking after my engine replacement which they offered me a trade in for my issues. None of the cars they had were cars I wanted and they advised the sales person I spoke to would contact us. They never did. They advised me my car would survive the drive from Nanaimo to Ontario and I believed them. It didn't. My "new engine" now has the same issue as the engine prior which is in the second picture attached. Less than 2,000kms later and this is the third engine in a car I purchased in June of 2024 which Ben sold me as a reliable car and which the mechanics have advised me would survive the drive back. I have since traded this car in and now I'm suffering the consequences of not only being down $2500 but I also have negative equity as I haven't even had the car for a year. At the time of purchasing the vehicle I was advised this was a reliable car by Ben who said he wanted his girlfriend to purchase the car. I had to get brand new tires immediately because the tires were cracking, paint was chipping on the hood immediately, and the ac compressor was a misdiagnosis for an engine issue they were very well aware of. The two other hyundai dealerships one in Winnipeg which took the borescope picture in the second photo, as well as another dealer in Ontario were both astonished by the terrible service level I received by Wheaton Hyundai.

Said no of course and then noticed the majority of vehicle entering were getting the message on the overhead monitor that an alignment was needed. Then after doing the recall was told that there was a major leak and the solution was a repair/replace that would cost $2500 as well as a smaller brake issue. I was quoted about $3000 total. Had the car looked at by a different service center- no need for an alignment, no issue with the brakes and the issue was an oil filter that was not fully tightened and was leaking a little bit. $85 later I have the tires rotated, brakes looked at and an oil change. I can't believe what they try to get away with.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!…read more While I cannot speak for the sales staff, I would avoid the service department at all costs. In April 2026 I took my 2023 KTM Adventure for regular service. During servicing significant issues where discovered where coolant hoses and the thermostat were leaking fluid; a common issue in these motorcycles. Unfortunately, OEM parts were on backorder for months, and instead of advising me of available aftermarket options, the service manager told me the only parts available were cheap kits from Temu, which was factually untrue. This resulted in my bike sitting for a total of 58 days, instead of resolving this in a couple of weeks. In reality, they simply did not have a supplier for these parts but if I had ordered them myself they would have been able to fit them. Unfortunately I was given incorrect information which extended the service time. After releasing the bike to me I started to experience clutch issues. This is a known problem in these bikes when coolant leaks and enters the engine oil. Because the clutch assembly shares the oil with the engine, coolant can get into the clutch assembly and cause chemical degradation of the friction pads. After reporting these clutch issues and reporting the clutch slipping, VI Powersports released the bike back to me, charging me $100 without inspecting the clutch or addressing the issue at all. To date it has been over 90 days of dealing with the same, continuous issues. VI Powersports has made zero effort to work with me by not proactively communicating with me, and adding to the delays by not ordering parts right away, not properly diagnosing issues after well known and documented problems with this make and model, and not suggesting alternative solutions when the OEM parts were not available. I would not recommend VI Powersports to anybody, as dealing with their Service Department has been the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! If I could give zero stars I would.
