Good portions and good food at this old skool Bradford curry house. Went for an early dinner and the place seemed to be filled with a nice crowd of regulars - family groups and some couples. People must return so regularly they assumed we might know what we wanted to order within seconds of getting the menus and bottled tap water was provided straight away without being ordered. I tried a mild and sweet tomato based chicken curry (as seen in the pics) which being not so great with spices was a delicious alternative to the safe korma option - mains are served with either nan, chapatis, rotis or rice. The nan was big and tasty and the rotis so much like chapatis I am still not sure if we were just given them by mistake...?(but they tasted good). Don't expect modern or sleek decor or toilets but do expect helpful and friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Not scored quite as high as we were charged for the poppadoms that were given on arrival as if complimentary. read more
