Not a good Customer experience and as others have mentioned, unless you are constantly adding money to the account or have 7 figures invested with them, they are silent and distant. Based on that representation, we proceeded and made our first six years of payments. During the period we paid, the annual illustration dropped in value each year. After those six payments, North American estimated my projected lifetime income at only $19,000 per year. If we surrendered, there would be over $30, 000 in surrender fees. Throughout this period, whenever we contacted Andre Zaal for clarification or assistance, he repeatedly told us to call North American ourselves and offered no support regarding the policy he sold us. At the time of purchase, I was 37 years old, a stay‑at‑home mother, and the policy included $2.2 million in life insurance coverage. After doing my own research, I learned that a large portion of our contributions were going toward insurance costs and management fees, which explained the low account value. I also learned that agents earn higher commissions when clients purchase larger insurance components. Based on our experience, our interests were not prioritized. We were left without guidance, without transparency, and without the support we reasonably expected from the agent who sold us the policy. Andre Zaal was simply not available.
