(delivery to my home in Newberry Park would have been an additional $100) I happily saved $340 buying from Lister Flooring. David encouraged me to double check the square footage needed. At the time of purchase, their salesperson strongly pushed an extended warranty from a company they work with. I trusted their recommendation and have been paying for that warranty for seven years without ever making a claim. Six months ago I finally needed the warranty to repair my Bosch washing machine. It has still not been repaired. The warranty company has done nothing but delay, make excuses, and avoid fixing the problem. A quick look at their reviews shows that many other customers have had the exact same experience. Since Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, also known as WDC Kitchen & Bath, sells these warranties and makes a commission from them, I went back to the store expecting them to stand behind what they sell and help resolve the issue. Instead, I was treated as if I had to defend myself for asking for help. While we were explaining the situation, one of the salespeople stood there on his cell phone, clearly showing little interest or concern. If a company is willing to take commissions for selling extended warranties, it should also take responsibility when those warranties fail their customers. In this case, Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, also known as WDC Kitchen & Bath, was happy to take the commission but offered no real support when the product and warranty they promoted failed. Living in Hidden Hills, many of my neighbors invest significant money in high-end appliances and rely on businesses to stand behind what they sell. I will absolutely be sharing this experience with my neighbors and community so they can be aware before choosing where to purchase their appliances. Because of this experience, I will not do business with Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, also known as WDC Kitchen & Bath, again.

Platinum proved they could figure it out at a lower cost without unnecessarily replacing/rebuilding parts of my kitchen. Platinum replaced my kitchen counters, kitchen sink, and faucet. The result is beautiful with an updated look and finish. Exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price! I have a very large, multi level deck in constant need of maintenance and board replacement. I received multiple, very high quotes to replace the wood with Trex. Platinum replaced the entire deck plus replaced rotting and damaged support structures either missed or ignored by the previous construction company hired to replace the outer edges with Trex. The result is a beautiful, safe, maintenance free deck! Finally, I have a garden atrium at the entrance to my house. It was dark due to a heavy, stuccoed overhang. Nothing would grow around my large fountain. Platinum installed a huge outdoor skylight which completely transformed that area into a beautiful, lush garden. Now I have beautiful plants and ground cover welcoming my guests instead of an embarrassing, dark, barren entry way. Platinum puts everything in writing. You know what you are getting. Prices are reasonable. Work is completed in the time promised. Workers are polite, keep things as clean as possible, and pick up every day. We had a few different needs and upgrades to make including new flooring, paint on the ceilings, a few new cabinet door and installing soft close drawers, as well as a few challenges that we discovered.
