Not only did they use an expired test kit. They then (after a 4 day wait) gave my daughter a false result on a very important test. This has made a stressful situation even worse. I'm assuming they didn't know that I have access to lab reports. Sample wasn't even tested due to it being expired. And if you're gonna give someone a false report the least you could do is make it good. Instead of worst news possible?!? These are not nurses, there MA's! Big difference! And never saw doctor, only PA..again.. big difference! My advice..as a real nurse..go to your pcp or ER!

It came back positive, but not after x-rays and some unnecessary tests. We received a bill for $3,736 for 1.5 hours and a strep throat diagnosis. We were billed a level 5 (the highest critical care) for this test and have come to the conclusion that the doctor was either inexperienced, ignorant or took advantage of our inexperience. After multiple billing discussions they offered a 20% discount, but it is absolutely ridiculous that they would try and bill us for the highest level of critical care for strep throat and not make it right. I have no issues paying a fair bill, but this is ridiculous. If you are in Granbury go to Avalon Urgent Care for non ER situations and if a true ER issue go to Lake Granbury Medical Center where at least you get a true ER team for the same price as Lumin ER.
