They basically were kinda dry, but I did find the assistant the vet was with very kind. Long curly hair. Very sweet woman. My main qualm was that I was quoted upwards of 4k$ in surgeries. I was a bit gob smacked at the price. I then went to another vet, Clay Road Animal Clinic (a place known for being fair and realistic) and was quoted $550 for the same surgery, and they explained in detail what could be expected. My dog also generally enjoyed their presence more, which I do take into account. They also took more steps to know about what was going on internally, suggesting x-rays, which was very affordable in comparison to elsewhere. While at this Alvin clinic it was more so like a shrugging their shoulders reaction, like what do ya want me to do about it from here. This vet isn't bad by any means, but just not for me. Too expensive for at best average care. And in daunting situations, while of course they are more than willing and upfront to work within your price range, sometimes things are scary and people don't know the next steps and need these things more broken down for them. All I left with after this vet was a printed out information google webpage, and an attempt to upsell (in my opinion) on vaccines. Like I said, just not for me.

My dog was in daily pain, barely eating because of vomiting, and restlessness throughout the night. I was desperate because my dog was losing weight and she was a tiny dog to begin with. Dr. Pickle and team quickly her referred us to an internal medicine vet experts who diagnosed my dog with pancreatitis! Dr. Pickle was the first vet to listen and not assume I was making things up. My dog and our family needlessly suffered almost 1 year. She a large tooth pulled unnecessarily as the previous vets led me to believe several other non verified ailments were the issue. Don't get me started on the money spent going down those bunny trails! We got 5 more happy years with our precious dog under the care of Dr. Pickle and her friendly staff. After spending two weeks with Pawsitive Care, and then doing day training with them for a week, she has improved so much! She's learned to walk on her leash and stay beside me waiting for me to let her know when to walk or stop, she can literally shake off her anxiety when she gets too keyed up, and she's learned to stop jumping and sit to wait for pets instead of climbing all over you.
