I've been through 9 mechanics in the Grand Valley. None have come through and done the thorough inspection I have asked for. Literally nobody else showed near as much professionalism or kindness as they have. a big Thank you from Solveson Builders

Hello: I was happy to find a shop to service my son's car. They made the scheduling and drop-off…read moreeasy and the service was performed quickly. A few months go by and the thermostat that they replaced failed. I contacted them to discuss this issue, but the car was now in the metro Denver area and not near Grand Junction. I had no choice, but to take to car to a local shop (1 .6 miles from my house) as the vehicle was leaking antifreeze profusely and overheating; There was no way for the car to make the 4 hour trip to Grand Junction. I discussed this with Scott's when this occurred initially and the Service Consultant was unaware of any process to follow for warranty other than to bring the vehicle back to their shop. After getting the thermostat replaced by the local shop I followed up with Scott's and after multiple emails and phone calls to discuss their warranty, I was now informed of their process. With this new story, there was no way to rewind what had already been repaired by the local shop. I submitted a copy of the invoice and asked for credit for the repair to be used at their shop in the future and was told that wasn't going to happen. I asked for a manager to call me to discuss this further and have yet to receive a call back after multiple calls and emails. Scott's: I understand that parts fail, but what I can't understand is how you let your customer service fail.

I bought a full new set of tires at Heuton for my car. Everyone was very nice when I came in, and…read morethey worked fast, all the mechanics I spoke to were friendly. We drove our car home, and didn't drive it for 2 days, well, we get in our car, drive a mile, and realized our tire was flat. Keep in mind that we only live 1.3 miles away from Heuton, so we only drove back 1.3 miles after getting all the tires replaced. Surprised that we had a flat after just getting all brand new, we changed our tire to the spare and my boyfriend drove the 1.3 miles to Heuton and had them check the bad tire. The mechanic (I don't know his name) checked all over the tire and told us that there was no hole, and the tire was leaking at the rim, that this happens sometimes (someone else was literally there with the same issue) and that it was a faulty tire. So my boyfriend talked to the sales guy (Mike Johnson) and he ordered a new tire for us but a different brand, which would take until the next week to arrive. My boyfriend went back, got the new tire, and was charged for it, much to his surprise, since we had been told that the tire had been faulty. This time, Mike told my boyfriend that there was a nail hole in the tire, so I called to check on this. I asked Mike on the phone why we had been charged, and he said that the tire damage was our fault. When I told him we had been told otherwise by his mechanic who was very kind, he called the mechanic a liar. He also told me I was getting a deal with free labor. He then told me "It is your f**king fault and I can't check the road to your house to make sure it is clear" he kept using the F word, so I got upset and told him "I feel really f**king uncomfortable with how this is being dealt with, and you are being really rude to me", then I hung up. Mike immediately called me back, when I answered and I heard it was him, I said, "Did you call back to cuss at me some more?" I told him he was rude and he then told me, "Get some f**king manners, stop cutting me off, you need f**king manners, you are never allowed to come back here". He also told me not to call him a liar when he called back, but I was telling him that he said their mechanic lied to me, then he called me a liar. I would have even been fine with being charged for the new tire, I was just trying to understand why, when we were told there was no puncture. The mechanic checked the tire very thoroughly for about 10 minutes when we brought it in (and only found a bead leak), and the fact that there was literally another car getting a similar problem checked, makes me feel very deceived. The fact that Mike called me back to swear at me more is very strange. Like I said, I was already recommending this shop to all my friends, you better bet after this experience, I will be telling everyone to avoid this shop (or at least Mike Johnson). I don't know if Mike is the owner, but if there is a way to contact the owner (not Mike) then I would happily talk to someone else about this situation.

Probably alternator, talk to Shawn." ) I call them (tG 4 cell phones!) to learn GM closes in 19 minutes. Shawn gets details, 4 minutes later pulls up and jumps my car (WTF is w/ this new battery?) and I follow him to the garage not even 4 blocks away. 3 mins later Ruby is pulled into the bay and the work begins. While Shawn is investigating the cause of the problem, another GM tech is checking and refilling my tires. Indications are not the alternator, not the battery cable, not the battery; could be the starter but not likely. Checking out the starter is a process for another day. Meanwhile he cleans the negative terminal clamp and battery cable showing corrosion. Ruby restarts consistently 7 times in a row. Pull her out of the bay. Convo with Shawn--"If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Call me tomorrow if your car won't start--here's my card." "Whadda I owe ya?" "No charge." It's close to 5:30pm--45 minutes of fruitless work, 30 minutes after closing time and no charge? I appreciate that Shawn didn't insist on needlessly "repairing" something, or keeping Ruby overnight, just to justify the time spent (after-hours) on examination that yielded no results, and make some coinage. I recommend this GM based on responsiveness, efficiency, honesty and an "above and beyond" customer service ethic. My thanks to Shawn and his crew.
