The inspector (Jim) was friendly and very professional, and he provided some good insight into the current state of the house (I had a few structural issues that he quickly pointed out and some electrical concerns). Overall, I am satisfied with the service and a few friends and family members have used Cornish Home Inspections since then. Highly recommended!

We hired milestone inspections and were so impressed! I highly recommend Milestone. The inspector,…read moreDavid, is incredibly thorough and detailed. He explains everything in a very objective manner... he is not trying to convince you one way or the other on a home inspection. He simply is very direct, factual, and detailed. When we bought a home years ago we used a different inspector- he inspected the property very quickly, reported only one issue, and was done. We moved in to the home to find a number of things that needed repair that the inspector should have found and noted. With milestone you get a detailed report, images, notes, estimated repair costs, etc. You will know exactly what you are getting yourself into or find areas of negotiation if needed. Again I highly recommend this company!

This made me very comfortable. When I first called John, he did not pick up but with in 5 min he called back to talk about setting up a an inspection. I was not given alot of time to work with so I asked if we could get it done in the next 48 hours, this was no problem for him. When I met John onsite he was very professional and easy to talk to. He started to work immediatly due to the fact there was going to be alot to cover and inspect. After every section he inspected he came back to walk me and my wife and our parents through what he just inspected. He took his time going through all the details and answered ALL of our questions including ones my parents had. At the end of the inspection he sat down with us to go over all the details of the inspection once again and what he was going to write up in his report. He then went to inform us that the report would be ready that day. We had concern with our foundation and he did not hesitate to explain everything that could be wrong with it. He also offered recommendations on different types of inspectors that we may also benefit from to look into some other matters. His report was very comprehensive and color coded for "defects" and "recommendations". Thank you again John and I highly recommend this gentelman for future inspections. He impressed my wife, parents, and our Agent (who also happens to be my mother-inlaw).

They are very easy to schedule with and are very responsive. They perform a two person inspection and very thorough. Having two people on site usually helps the inspection go a lot quicker. They are honest with my clients and that is always the most important thing to me. I want clients to be adequately informed on the condition of a home. This company has helped so many of my clients through the inspection process and I have never had a complaint. They are always available to chat about problems or give their opinion. They also perform Radon tests. If you don't know if your home has radon, please get a radon test. It is very common in southeast Michigan.

He's also easy to reach and very responsive. NOTE: If you're looking for an inspector who's going to call it as he sees it, this is the guy. Your realtor/builder/whomever's interested in just getting the deal done will not like him. This is a good thing. Future you in 5-10 years down the road of owning the house will love him. He's a little more expensive, but brings more value for dollar than other inspectors I've worked with. No stone will be left unturned. I was in the middle of a new construction and needed an independent set of eyes on my builder's workmanship. Bobby's first inspection came during the rough-in phase, and he found a number of issues that weren't caught. I then had him come out for our final walk-through inspection, and boy was he thorough. He caught a number of issues that were missed, and multiple times my builder asked where I found such a meticulous home inspector. In the world of homebuilding, any inspector who's able to impress/annoy a builder is worth their weight in gold. I've also referred him to others and they've been similarly impressed with not only his knowledge but his willing to teach and advocate on their behalf, especially in the face of a pushy realtor. I'll have him back out to do our end of warranty inspection and could not recommend him any higher.

He is very thorough in his inspection, as well as in his documentation. After the inspection he went through every single last thing with us, and it was all saved in a really cool template that I believe he designed.
