Stykemain Chevrolet

Stykemain Chevrolet

Dealership: Stykemain Chevrolet - Paulding, OH Individuals…read moreinvolved: * Jesse Renollet - Sales Manager (claimed to be General Manager) * Brad Davis - Salesperson * Jim Stykemain - Owner Today we drove two and a half hours to Paulding, Ohio to look at a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel. I contacted the salesperson (Brad Davis) when the dealership opened and was upfront that we would want to negotiate in person. He was friendly, responsive, and professional throughout. When we arrived, the truck started and we were allowed to test drive it. Less than one mile into the drive, the truck lost power and began throwing warning messages. We were forced to pull over just off a busy highway in actual -10°F temperatures (not wind chill) with traffic flying by. The truck would not restart, and we were left sitting on the roadside with our hazards on in dangerous conditions. We attempted to contact the salesperson several times with no answer. We eventually reached the receptionist, who tried to transfer us to service, but no one answered. We explained that we were stranded, unsafe, and could literally see the dealership from where we were sitting. After some time, the salesperson and a service employee arrived and brought us back. The truck ultimately had to be towed back to the dealership. They suggested the diesel fuel may have gelled due to low fuel, which is plausible. Despite this, we were still willing to move forward with the purchase if the dealership was willing to work with us given the circumstances. That's when the attitude from management became the real problem. I approached the sales manager, Jesse Renollet, respectfully to discuss whether there might be any flexibility on price given that we had just been stranded in dangerous conditions after driving five hours round trip. His response was cold and dismissive: "The price is the price." No apology. No concern for safety. No acknowledgment of the situation. When I asked if the general manager was available, he said he was the general manager. I then asked about speaking with the owner. He asked, "Would you like to speak with him?" When I said yes, he turned as if he was going to call, then turned back with a sarcastic smirk and said, "Oh, I forgot, he's on his way to Florida." The interaction was condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. To be clear, our salesperson was courteous and professional. This failure falls squarely on management. After everything that occurred, the dealership offered not a penny off the advertised price and even stated they would be raising the price the following week. Based on this experience, I strongly encourage others to read the reviews and take them seriously. This dealership does not value customer safety, customer service, or accountability. I will not return, and I will be sharing this experience publicly.

My experience was horrendous with mark ( all I want is your money and I don't care if you crash and…read moredie) Moat. I took my teenage daughter to buy a car. The salesman and owner seemed nice and even nicer when I had cash and became even nicer when they found out I served in the military for over 22 years. I told them I be fine with a car that had some issue. As long as they told me the problems, because I would have it repaired. They told me that the car they were selling me was in good shape, safe and the owners took great care of it !!!!!!. Fast forward two months and a creditable dealership looking at we found out the car was a death trap. Timing cover, engine oil pan, subframe and sway bars and struts. I called the dealership and the owner told me at least you got a couple thousand miles out of it. Didn't ask if my daughter was ok and offer any help. This people are dirt bags, they put on the sweetness to sell me the car, talking about how they love there veterans and they take care of them. I wouldn't recommend these people they have no pride in self of fellow American veterans.

I actually contacted Mr. Moats himself to hopefully get some resolve and he doesn't even call me back. I'm so glad he was "gonna go down to service and find out what's going on". Going to buy a car but not there.

I had an absolutely amazing experience purchasing my new Ford Expedition, and I truly cannot say…read moreenough good things about this dealership! From the very beginning, both Aliyssa and Gabe went above and beyond to make this process smooth and stress-free. Aliyssa was incredibly responsive, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt confident every step of the way. She sent detailed walk-around videos of the vehicle and even took the time to send additional videos when I asked about specific features--something I really appreciated since I was initially handling everything remotely. At the same time, Gabe was just as incredible on the financing side. He was honest, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain everything without any pressure. He made sure I understood all of my options, especially when it came to warranties, and I never once felt rushed or pushed into anything. That level of transparency made a huge difference. At one point, I was planning to have the vehicle shipped, so we completed almost everything online and over the phone--and it was completely seamless thanks to both of them working together. The best part of all--and something I will never forget--is when I decided last minute to drive four hours to pick up the vehicle myself. Not only were they accommodating, but they BOTH stayed past business hours and waited for me just so I could take my new car home that same day. That level of dedication and customer service is truly rare. Everyone I interacted with was extremely polite, friendly, and genuinely happy to help, but Aliyssa and Gabe especially made this an exceptional experience from start to finish. This was hands down one of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free, and truly outstanding experience!

The pricing was very fair as well. I can only give them the highest recommendation. I would not hesitate for a second to purchase another vehicle from Hill's.

The difference between a small car dealership like Hill's Auto Sales versus one of the big dealers…read morejust down the road is that when you step onto the lot of one of those big dealerships, there will almost immediately be some shark sniffing you out, trying to gauge how much commission they might be able to get out of you. They are therefore incentivized to sell you the most expensive car that they can, and of course, to sell as many cars as possible. Most if not all of those dealerships even give their salespeople quotas to reach each month, which makes it more about quantity than quality of service. Hill's Auto, on the other hand, is owned and operated by Jeremy Hill, and his business model is to seek out the best cars that he can find and then do whatever repairs need to be done in order to make them dependable. Then he sells these cars to his customers at the best price that he can. No commissions. No middlemen. That's his name on the sign, and it's his reputation if he started selling people lemons. That's the difference between a salesperson and a small-business owner. Alhough, like most people, I've been conditioned over the years to never set foot on the lot of a used car dealership without being on my guard and skeptical of every claim (especially when it comes to undercoating, which is right up there with blinker fluid), Jeremy Hill has integrity. That's a rare quality in a used car dealer, but it's one that I think will help his business flourish. He sold me a good car at a good price. When the check engine light came on shortly after buying it, he had his mechanic fix it (with a better-than-stock part), simply because this did not fit with his business model of selling dependable used cars at prices that people can actually afford. There was a problem that his mechanics had overlooked, and so he made it right. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review, but I can now safely recommend Hill's Auto Sales to anyone who might be considering the purchase of a quality used car in the Bowling Green/Toledo area.
