If I could rate a ZERO, I would. I purchased a brand new…read moreJeep in Decatur, and brought my Jeep to Greve for routine maintenance, via Jeep Wave maintenance package. Maintenance lied about rotating my tires, as required during Jeep Wave maintenance. This resulted in a need to purchase new tires - Greve maintenance manger admitted it was their fault for not properly rotating tires, but they refused to make it right. Instead they offered to split the cost of new tires with me. What a racket!!!! Hopefully Chrysler will handle this through the formal dealer complaint filed. RUN away from this dealership!!!!

My wife and I had a very poor experience at Greve Chrysler. We were told that both the tires and…read morebreaks were replaced at trade in with the vehicle that we purchased one more than one occasion. Once we started driving the vehicle around town we noticed a scrapping noise with the back tires so to investigate our break noise, we took it to our mechanic in town whom we have been doing business with for years. After they looked at our vehicle, they confirmed that our back tires were never replaced and actually need to be replaced in the next few months, and that the back breaks were a complete mess. Apparently when Greve Chrysler replaces breaks, they only replace the brake pads and nothing more. Our mechanic showed us the rotors and they were completely rusted and he couldn't quite understand why someone would put new brake pads on rotors that looked this bad. We had to spend about $300 to get the brakes fixed on the vehicle we were told had just been replaced. I called Greve and spoke with Alex, who may be one of the least helpful and sympathetic manager's I have ever spoken with. When trying to explain our situation, there was little done to understand it from our perspective or our point of view and it instantly became him versus me as if I was trying to get something from him, or trying to get something over on him. I had told him that Mike told us that the breaks and tires were replaced at trade in and when he asked Mike, Mike denied ever telling us that information. Then Alex checked the service records and said that only the back brakes were replaced. I told Alex that I took the car to my mechanic and that the back brakes were never replaced and he responded by saying that I was wrong because the service records indicate that they were and he would not be able to do anything or help me at all. All I was asking Alex to do was replace my brakes that I was told was replaced, and I got so desperate I had to bust out a line I saw on their website that says "we will do whatever it takes to ensure you are 100% satisfied with all of our products and services". After bringing up that line on their website, Alex finally attempted to correct the situation and he said that best he could do is look at the car at his shop, no exceptions. We live an hour and a half away and honestly didn't trust them so we bit the bullet and fixed the brakes ourselves. After going to pick up the vehicle after the brakes had been fixed, our mechanic showed us how bad the brakes were and still couldn't understand why any competent mechanic would throw new brake pads on something this bad. Based on my experience I would highly suggest never doing business with Greve Chrysler in Van Wert. They had multiple opportunities to correct their wrong and they refused.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but I need to tell of our experience with this business today. My…read morehusband found a truck on the internet at this dealer. He called them 2 days ago (Saturday), talked to the salesman, they agreed on a price, my husband said I want the truck but it being Saturday, almost noon, couldn't get to credit union until Monday morning. He asked the salesman if he would hold it for him until then, so he could go get the loan process going and if he would promise not to sell it out from under him. The salesman, D...., said he would not sell it. My husband had talked to a different sales person earlier who said they would sometimes ask people to put $500 down on credit card and then if you follow thru and buy the vehicle you would get your money back and if you change your mind, you lose the money. Which, I guess might be kind of fair, though a little steep. But thing is, sometimes as much as you might want to buy, maybe loan gets denied and so you are out $500 and no vehicle. The salesman he ended up making the deal with, never mentioned putting the $500 down to hold the truck, just promised to hold it. It was a Saturday, the guy was getting ready to go home for the weekend, not much either of them could do until Monday anyway. First thing this Monday morning, husband gets up, calls credit union about getting loan, they call back shortly that he can come get the check. He makes trip all the way across the county, gets all the paperwork filled out, gets the check, goes to clerks office to get info, stops in at insurance office, heads home. The phone rings about 5 minutes before he gets home, I answer, it was D.... wanting to talk to husband, I said he will be back shortly, can I take a message? Just wanted to let him know that the truck he had been interested in just sold to someone else! I told him he is on his way home with check! He said, " I told him we needed to hear something from credit union by Saturday" and I said "he couldn't do anything until bank opened on Monday, THANKS SO MUCH!" Furious! That is no way to do business. We live over 5 hours from the dealership and my husband was doing the best he could to do business over the phone. The dealer might be fine if you live in their state or nearby but I would not recommend doing business with them if you live out of state. I hope this person at least has a little remorse for doing a person this way. Whatever happened to "do unto others?"
