My wife and I were looking for a pre-owned Escape and found one thru cars.com offered by Statewide Ford Lincoln. We live about 2hrs away from the dealership and was hesitant initially as it's quite a distance, but with a very competitive price and the Escape has all the features that we liked, we decided to make an appointment to visit. It was a disaster initially as the car was already sold just as we arrived at the dealership. We were really upset about the whole ordeal, but they were really apologetic about it and promised to make it up. Surely, within a day or so, I was called that they have located a similar escape down to the same exact color scheme and features and they kept the original special internet price, which was very competitive of any dealership within 250 miles of my location. We are really happy with the buy and the experience despite the initial hiccup. Logan and Dave are very attentive and eager to answer every questions that we had. Logan kept me up-to-date with the process as they need to acquire the car from another dealership. We could see that they are really proud of their shop and the customer service that they provided. I live in the Fort Wayne area and found Statewide Ford Lincoln to consistently have prices a little lower on comparable used cars than the dealerships closer to home. When I first found the car online we wound up buying, I was unable to get there myself because of work. Instead, my wife went and checked it out, and liked what she saw. Statewide was then able to hold the vehicle for us until the weekend for a small deposit which then became part of our down payment. Van Wert is about a 45 minute drive for us, but Statewide was worth the trip(s). Randy Custer is a low-pressure and informative salesman who educated us to our options on vehicles, financing and warranties. It is readily apparent that he is the type who knows that a long term business relationship comes from addressing the customer's needs, rather than angling them into whatever happens to be on the lot when they show up. We are still highly satisfied with our car a week later. I was checking vehicles on several dealership web sites and State Wide Ford had the best prices for the vehicles I was interested in purchasing. Randy Custer returned my call on Monday morning, explained everything and answered all my questions. By Monday afternoon, I drove to Van Wert, meeting Randy and test drove the 2015 Escape Titanium. 1 1/2 hours later, I had purchased the Escape and was driving it home, 52 miles away. Everyone that had a part of the sale process were extremely friendly and explained everything in detail. I felt very comfortable when I drove my new Escape off the lot and will recommend them to others who are interested in purchasing a vehicle. My wife and I started looking for a car. Through local dealerships in Indianapolis, we found we liked the Ford Flex. Using the website cars.com we found one at Statewide Ford for sale. We had test drove the Flex's here in Indianapolis, but found the packages listed for the Flex at Statewide seemed better and the price was cheaper. I called and talked to Kurt at Statewide, very nice guy. He told us the Flex had a small scratch and dent and where they were. We told him we would drive up on a Monday after work to see the car. It was raining when we got there and Kurt had pulled the car in the garage so we could see it and not get wet. We bought the car at closing and really liked the way they treated us. Only bad thing is the windshield cracked from a previous repair. If you're looking for a car, they seem very fair on price and they are nice people to work with. It was about a 140 miles to Statewide from our house and it was worth the drive. read more

Not what we expected. My sister had initiated a sale on Friday night and I bought my car that next Monday. LOVE my Escape. We purchased a used SUV sight unseen from Statewide Ford. Randy was exceptional and sent us pictures, and contacted my credit union to make sure they received all the required paperwork. We went on vacation during the purchase and they arranged with our hotel to have the necessary paperwork overnighted to us and picked back up. They arranged shipping (and didn't tack on any surcharge). They were a pleasure to deal with. We have our 2013 SUV and it is exactly as described and we couldn't be happier. Great place. My family and I were traveling through the are taking my son back to college...and broke down. We spent the night in Van Wert on Sunday and called first thing in the morning to see if we could have out F150 looked at. They got us in that morning, fixed the issue (coil), and recommended an option additional repair that was needed either by them or at some time in the future when we got home.
