I did, my test showed L4 and L5 vertebra, the top one was rocking over the bottom one putting pressure on my bladder, causing the frequent urination!!! That was a Friday, Dr Pitt said you need emergency surgery on Monday at 4:00pm!!!! I didn't hav back pain, I was a strong 66 year old, no health issues, not over weight, worked out etc. If I had not had the surgery, and the vertebrate slipped, I would have been paralyzed.! The bladder nerves were being damaged- called the Cauda Equina syndrome! Prior to surgery Dr Pitt explained I may have permanent bladder damage and may have to wear a colostomy bag. After 6 hours of surgery, not only did he repair my spine with fusion, a titanium cage etc, he was able to save the nerves affecting my bladder!! Dr Pitt and his office during my rehab and months of wearing a brace were so kind and always explained everything in detail to me, including reviewing my x-rays in the Office! I am grateful to Dr Pitt and his group for having the knowledge and immediate reaction to my condition. Her genuine concern, compassion & empathy were evident as she explained that she too had an elderly mother, and she cared so much. This experience marked the beginning of the outstanding care my mother received at AZ Pain. Violetta Melkum has an extensive experience and thoroughly explained my mom's CT scan from SMIL using the model of the spine until we could fully understand all of the problems, what could be treated, and being honest about what could not. The first visit included a pain-relief shot and a professional back brace, all covered for just $30 dollars with Medicare! Dr. Jensen is so highly recommended that we are again very fortunate to have him perform the epidurals, and are grateful to Sophia Diego, the scheduler to get my mother into the schedule so quickly. Believe me, when you have debilitating pain, every day seems like a month. AZ Pain "bends over backwards" to relieve your back pain! And I love how the receptionist always says in such a warm & cheerful voice, "Hi Miss (and your first name)!" to every patient. Impressed and respectful of every aspect of AZ Pain, I'm confident in entrusting them with my own back pain once I can step away from my caregiving responsibilities. Are you in pain? Did you ever have a car accident or incur an injury on the job? Do massages or…read morechiropractic adjustments give you only temporary relief? Can you move with grace and ease, or are even simple tasks like dressing yourself and walking sometimes difficult? Have you ever been tempted to take painkillers just to get through the day? Did someone mention surgical intervention as your only recourse left? Or do you have a nagging sense that your body is simply getting "rusty" and you can't move the way you used to and don't feel that great? The staff at Resilient knows how to get your body working again--not through force or the same tired old cookie-cutter physical therapy routines and stretching exercises, but with completely customized movements tailored to your needs. Most of the exercises are subtle. And some of the exercises require only small movements. But they are all incredibly powerful and life-changing. Resilient uses many of the techniques taught by Peter Egoscue. The difference between what the Resilient staff do and other methods is that the Resilient staff analyzes the root of the pain and not merely symptoms. This is important, because often the location of your pain is not the source of the problem. Using an exquisitely holistic understanding of the body, Resilient personnel work with each client to develop non-stressful ways of unlocking tense muscles so the separate parts of the body can communicate with each other. For three years, I had severe pain in my hip and was limping when I walked. The first exercises given to me at addressed my very tense shoulders because that offered a way to unlock other parts of my body. Within 30 minutes of my very first session, I noticed more ease of walking. This is no exaggeration! After only two sessions I found myself sitting up straighter--not because I had to remind myself not to slouch, but because my body instinctively wanted to have better posture and sitting up straight actually took less effort than slouching. My prior experience with bodywork has been extensive. Among other protocols, I've received many types of massage, acupuncture, different kinds of chiropractic, weight training at the gym, Alexander technique, and Rolfing. Recently, my very talented osteopath recommended Resilient, and I can honestly say that this is the most comprehensive and far-reaching method I have ever encountered. If you're looking for permanent change rather than a quick fix that probably won't work; if you are willing to devote just 10-20 minutes a day to do your customized exercises (which change as you progress); if you want the root of your pain and movement problems addressed--then this is for you. Sessions are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The friendly staff is knowledgeable and flexible. They truly give their clients what's needed to optimize quality of life. Since going to Resilient, I am holding my osteopathic manipulations better, my posture has vastly improved, and my chiropractor is finding it much easier to adjust me. Since I've been going there awhile, I recommended Resilient Align Pain Solutions to family members. They have benefitted as well, noticing positive structural changes from the very first session.
