My experience with Integrative Dental Solutions started about 3 years ago when i went in for an initial exam and cleaning. I got my cleaning done and then two women took me into a back room and with a large screen tried to sell me on invisalign. Now my entire life i have had dentists tell me how nice my teeth are (I'm 42 years old ) especially since they're healthy and I've never had to have braces. I was thrown off, It was extremely salesy, pushy and to be quite frank obnoxious.. As this is a medical facility not a retail store. I leave and had a $200 credit and 3 years later needed a cleaning again and i had a crown crack. Now i have friends (Multiple) who live that way and warned me about going here as i was told they charge 3X more, only care about selling and money and not about the actual customers needs. But i thought you know why not give the another shot. I go and they do the exam and cleaning and they tell me that i need a crown redone and a root canal. I schedule the root canal (Its at another facility) Then i book the crown. The week of the crown i get a phone call that the Dr wont be in and i cant get in for another 2-3 weeks. At this point i had already waited a couple weeks with a fake filling in, you're technically not supposed to have a temporary crown for a month but since they canceled on me and didn't even try to squeeze me in with anyone else i have to wait, by the time i get in the temporary filling it very sensitive and I'm a but frustrated as I'm quite literally paying triple the amount of money to go to a holistic dentist verse a regular and on top of it they do not seem to really give a crap about their customers. The day i finally get this crown fixed i go into Dr Fisher, She takes the old crown off and while doing so is seemingly in a rush, extremely abrasive and clanking my front teeth hard with little awareness with her metal tools. It doesn't stop there, The awareness level is so little shes pulling my hair, i can't say anything as my mouth is pried open. She finally gets done with simply taking the old crown off and lets me sit alone for over 30 mins waiting to put the actual crown on. I see and hear her behind me working on another patient. I'm getting quite upset.. I'm paying all this money for someone to waste my time and have very little bed side manner. She finally comes back and starts to put the new crown on and is again is being abrasive, clanking with her metal tools on teeth that shouldn't be touched as the awareness level is clearly not there... You can tell she's in a rush. Finally when It's over she has the audasity to tell me that my teeth had been cleaned three months prior and that it seemed i didn't take very good care of my teeth so i "should probably come in for a cleaning every 3 months" cleanings are about $500. First of all when they cleaned my teeth they didn't even take the time to get all the plaque off my teeth in the first place. worst cleaning I've ever had!! But i let it go. So i finally get home and look at my crown.. This thing doesn't match the rest of my teeth its the kind of white you see when people over bleach their teeth. She took zero time to match the color, It's shaved down so far it doesn't even match the length of the other teeth as well and there's zero grooves in the crown so it doesn't even look like a tooth at all. So i call and express my dissatisfaction to a manager and she apologizes and says to me.."Well we could match it and send it off and get it looking like a real tooth" I'm like WHY didn't you in the first place do that as I'm paying out of pocket $2,000 i expect a better service, a better job overall and a dentist that quite frankly gives a shit!.. She told me she would talk to someone and see what they can do and get back to me, It's been three weeks now. I've had no contact at all from them, No phone call nothing!! Now i was originally going to post how terrible my overall experience was but i decided to AGAIN give them a shot to make it right and they've officially proven they do not care about anything but money and getting as many customers in as possible in a day. They don't even care if its a chop job-IN WHICH IT WAS!!!!! I will never be going back, I will be going to the biodentist up the road that my friends had originally told me to go to. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fisher and her entire team. I originally had an appointment scheduled for a crown and filling, but over the weekend I developed a severe tooth infection on the other side and was in a lot of pain. I called the office the next morning not knowing what to expect, and instead of hesitation, I was met with immediate compassion. They got me in right away and adjusted my appointment so I wouldn't continue suffering. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with an incredible level of care and kindness. The staff made sure I was comfortable with a blanket and warm compresses, and they consistently checked in on how I was feeling. I am diabetic and had low blood sugar at the time due to being sick, and they handled everything with such professionalism and genuine concern, making sure I was safe and supported throughout the visit. I've had truly horrible dental experiences in the past, which left me anxious and fearful going into appointments. Dr. Fisher and her team completely changed my view of dentistry. Dr. Fisher is not only an excellent dentist, but also a compassionate, attentive human who truly cares about her patients. I never once felt rushed, dismissed, or like just another appointment on the schedule. If you are someone who has dental anxiety or past trauma, I cannot recommend this office enough. Extremely disappointed in the communication and handling of my case. I have been going back and forth with Integrative Dental Solutions for over a year, primarily with Rene. I paid thousands of dollars for a treatment they recommended during my initial consult. However, I realized this treatment was not appropriate for my case. I was not properly informed of my options, and in hindsight, I believe there was a scheduling error that resulted in me being placed in the wrong type of consult. Despite multiple meetings to explain the situation, I have received no treatment -- and I'm still waiting for clarity on how to apply the funds I paid toward appropriate care or receive a refund. We came to a verbal agreement with the doctor: if I ended up needing Invisalign in the future, I could proceed within five years at no additional cost. Now, I'm being told I need to transfer to another provider and pay all over again. The office communication is consistently poor. I have to call multiple times just to receive a single piece of information, and there seems to be confusion within the team about my case. The doctor I was referred to, Dr. Shetty, is frequently unavailable, which has led to weeks of delay and no progress in my treatment plan. To make matters worse, I've had Invisalign buttons on my teeth for over a year -- with no Invisalign treatment. I originally came in seeking palate expansion, only to find out (after the fact) that this clinic doesn't offer that service and couldn't even refer me to any local providers. At this point, I just want a resolution. Either apply the money I've already paid toward the correct treatment, or issue a refund. I won't go back to this dentist. They do good work . BUT They have a 18 month policy for x rays. If you get your teeth 2x a year thats radiation once a year. I don't want this. Its not healthy. Please--Don't claim yourself to be "HOLISTIC" if you radiate a patient with x rays. Its not "just a few photos" as they like to dumb you down with BS propaganda. Not true according to so many studies and Dr. Robert Mendelsohn MD. My old neighbor who never smoke, drank, got jaw cancer and they had to chop up her face horribly.YEARS OF XRAYS which will catch up to you and your dentist who has been gaslit by x ray company salesmen will swear up and down it has nothing to do with THEM. I first saw Dr. Shetty in 2018 for a bite that felt off and grinding my teeth. She suggested I get a sleep study done. It showed I had very mild sleep apnea and she recommended instead of a mouthguard that I get an oral sleep appliance (mandibular device that pulled my lower jaw forward). I wore this in 2019 and within a few months my lower jaw would not go back to its old position which meant when I would bite down, my back teeth didn't touch. When I brought this up to Dr. Shetty and how I was never told this may happen or how to prevent it, she said I'd likely need metal braces! How awful that she recommends an appliance that shifts peoples bites then leads them to needing expensive braces that she doesn't even do. I understand now from research it's a side effect that can happen but she never told me it could happen otherwise I wouldn't have followed through. In 2019, I had a cleaning done and told the hygenist I had a molar that was sore. She dismissed it and said it looked fine. Two months I went back to see Dr. Shetty for this tooth and she did a regular X-ray of the tooth where you couldn't see the roots and said it looked fine and likely had a small crack, nothing to do about it. In 2021, I requested a cone beam scan because that tooth was still giving me trouble. She came into the room and said I can't tell if it's infected or not, it could be your sinuses or it could be an infection. You need to see an endodontist. Then I see the endodontist who literally took the same X-ray, and used endo ice and confirmed it was dead (why Dr Shetty couldn't have done that as other general dentists do it is beyond me). I felt like Dr. Shetty was missing something and wasn't sure she could be trusted, so In Nov 2021 I saw another holistic dentist who told me the onlay, crown, and filling on my lower right that were redone in 2018 by Dr. Shetty were failing. The onlay didn't fit properly so it had a small cavity near the onlay. I felt the new dentist stick her probe in there. It was sticky so for sure a new cavity. The crown on the tooth in front was also made using the CEREC in office machine by Dr shetty and fit really poorly, decay was underneath. I went back to Dr. Shetty and asked her if there were any problems with that area. She told me multiple times no, not a cavity. I then went to an additional biological dentist who is my current dentist who confirmed that the lower right was a mess. I then had to pay quite a bit of money for it to be redone, even though I had just had it redone by Dr. Shetty 2 years prior. Also, she was charging $250 per ozone shot when I had several in 2018. My new dentist only charges $150. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone come to this office. Please save your teeth and money and find another dentist. read more

Loved coming here the past 7 years. On my most recent cleaning with a new hygienist, I bled just a little during flossing and she freaked out and said "oh my god you have gingivitis. We must get rid of it now!" She gave an ozone treatment to kill the bacteria. I've never had gingivitis, no issues, but suddenly I do. Hmmm. When Shetty walked in, the hygienist mentioned I needed a pallet expander or my teeth would grind down and be non-existent by the time I'm 70. I explained I already had surgery to fix my bite. She said well it's regressing and getting worse. I asked Shetty for her opinion. She never looked at anything and just sided with the hygienist! I was never shown x-rays or pictures or anything! I left feeling cheated. The hygienist was clearly new and hired because she's good at sales. And if a dentist cares more about sales than patient health, I'm out. read more

This is the first negative review I have written in years but I have to warn people about these folks. I was told that the total cost for two dental implants was $6,000. Today, my last appointment, they tell me I owe another $2,000! When I became angry and raised my voice, one of the dentists came in and lowered the price to $1,500. Clearly they knew upfront the cost was going to be $2,000-$3,000 more and they baited me with a low ball estimate to get the business without ever stating that it was just an estimate! Initially, I thought Dr. Shetty's office was a wonderful Dental Office until my most recent experience with receptionist Jamie. Dr. Shetty agreed to provide me with a DNA Appliance at a reduce price because she was new to the appliance and thought it would fix my health problems. Unfortunately, Jamie did not agree with the price that the Doctor offered me. In two of my conversations that I had with her, she told me the Doctor "miss spoke" and she was talking about the "Healthy Start" program and not the DNA Appliance. Despite the Doctor confirming the discounted price in front of her and me. Jamie felt that if I get a discount, all the patients should get a discount. I told Jamie that when I did price shopping (which Dr. Shetty encouraged researching the DNA Appliance) a Doctor in Illinois offered the one appliance for $2,800-which Dr. Shetty's price was still cheaper than their's. Fours days have gone by and I left a message at Dr. Shetty's stating I wanted to go through with the appliance. Jamie called me back and after Jamie spoke with Dr. Shetty, she has decided to no longer provide me with the device because I went to go see another Doctor behind Dr. Shetty's back. I told Jamie that I did not go see another Doctor, I called another Doctor to get prices. Then Jamie proceeded to tell me again that she did not agree with Dr. Shetty giving me the appliance for a reduce price. I told Jamie that it wasn't for her to decide. I truly thought Dr. Shetty was a wonderful Doctor, but I am sorry she has a person like Jamie working for her. One of two things happened, Jamie was misinforming Dr. Shetty of how our conversation truly went down or Dr. Shetty retracted her price to me and just wanted me to go away. I do not believe Jamie is an honest person and feel she is very toxic to the Doctors practice. Other concerns: When I called the office last week to ask Dr. Shetty a quick question about the appliance, Jamie refused to let me talk to her over the phone. She said I needed to make a consult appointment. I would have been fine with talking her dental assistant. I asked to meet with the Doctor to discuss the so call "recorded" conversation that I had with Jamie, but Jamie said she would not do that. (I do not believe the calls were being recorded. I was happy with professional services I received at Integrative Dentistry for the most part. It was important for me to get my silver fillings removed...mostly out of pocket expenses. I had a crown put on my left back molar only 6 years ago. I immediately had a large gab between my teeth which prooved to me that it was not properly installed. Now 6 years later it's all decayed inside the crown. So paying again to have it recrowned! They will not cover it. I have never had a crown last such a short time. And they are more expensive then most . read more

I came here in search of a holistic Dentist that would not give me a cookie cutter approach but one that was tailored to me. I am more then satisfied with my care there. I had a previous conventional dentist tell me that I needed 2 root canals, I came here for a second opinion and Dr Shetty believed I did not need them. She treated my 2 teeth for me and injected ozone into the canals. Both teeth fillings were successful and ended up being so much cheaper then having the root canals my other dentist said I needed. I couldn't be more happier with my care there and their staff has been amazing and so accommodating. I have now referred my husband and 5 year old daughter. read more

I am a fan. The office staff is always exceedingly friendly and helpful, and they get me in the chair with little waiting time. I've had several procedures done. Most recently, Dr. Shetty removed a silver filling (that was cracked) and replaced it with a porcelain one. I was dreading the visit, but was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it went and how little pain/discomfort was involved. My son has a retainer and has had regular visits related to straightening his teeth. Dr. Shetty is always great with him as well. My only complaint is the office hours. They close too early for me to consider an appointment after work, and they aren't open on Friday or Saturday. Which means anytime I have to go to the dentist, I have to take off of work. read more

I went to some dental quacks who wanted to pull many of my teeth. I went to Integrative because a friend told me about them. I went there and they saved my teeth. I had three amalgams replaced. Now I feel much better. The dentists there are smart, friendly and very capable. They are aware how dangerous fluoride is in our drinking water. That is a real plus to me. They are not preachy. They adhere to a full body health, wholistic approach. They are expensive; but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them. If you go to their link, my review is not there. I love Dr. Mahn! I have been seeing him for about 8 years. He completely removed all my silver fillings and replaced them with more compatible materials. Did I mention that all my migraine headaches have since gone away??? Well, they have! Glad the Mercury has been safely removed by Dr. Mahn! My husband has been a patient of Dr. Shetty for about the same time. On the rare occasion that Dr. Mahn has been unavailable, Dr. Shetty has stepped in for my appointments and she has never disappointed. I love this practice so much I continually recommend them to my friends and family. Not only that, but we continue to visit them for our cleanings (great hygienists!) and regular exams even though we relocated back to California almost 4 years ago. We tried another holistic dentist office in the LA area, but there was no comparison. From the office staff to the dentists to the hygienists to the overall decor of the office.... we love going to the dentist! Who says that?! We do! This place is a very organized sham. They are good listeners, they act like they care, but with all the usual work exceeding 3 to 4 times the amount of other dentistry's, they know they better be. At the end of the day, it's disingenuous smoke and mirrors. There are plenty of places you can go to get mercury/metal free work done much more affordably. I had a more unique, complex case and spent thousands of dollars here only for a deep seeded tooth infection to not be taken care of. Not everything shows up on x-rays folks (good dentists know this) Anyway, Integrative Dental Solutions insisted nothing was wrong and proceeded to try to talk me into spending thousands more. Fortunately, I switched to a new specialist who ended up extracting a tooth and my long standing problems were boom, virtually resolved! Lessened learned. read more

I had been warned by my holistic NP that this clinic had a reputation for being very profit-focused and that I might find similar treatment for much less elsewhere. My personal experience certainly reflects this statement. The x-ray and camera equipment is quite fancy (so much so that my treatment time was lengthened as the dentist/tech sorted out how to use it during my filling work). However, ultimately I feel like the major difference between this place and others is the significantly higher price and the warm neck pillow that I received. When reviewing my dental plan, there were two "mistakes" that would have cost me several hundred dollars more had I not pointed them out. Upselling is not something that one would expect with dental care, yet 3 times I had to decline treatment or referrals that were unnecessary or not a priority for me. For example, a $400 charge for a custom night guard that was not discussed with me by Dr. Holinbeck. Sara D expressed that it was because I must grind my teeth at night. I had to express twice that I do not grind my teeth at night, that my excess wear is due to a misaligned bite which forces overuse on one side. These items, however, were still left on my "treatment plan" in case I changed my mind. When my insurance provider changed their coverage between my initial exam and date of treatment (months later), I was left, unexpectedly, with having to pay 100% completely out of pocket for all charges, even though there were 2 conversations with both Dr. Holinbeck and Sara D. regarding items typically covered by my insurance and to what degree. They are very clear, before you begin treatment about their lack of responsibility for insurance coverage, and I should have been more informed about my own policy. However, in my experience, clinics in which patients pay 100% out of pocket typically offer some kind of discount. 1 1/2 weeks after receiving the work with Dr. Holinbeck, I saw another provider for a cleaning who found 3 cavities...not one was addressed in my treatment plan, nor a word said as she worked extensively on my filling/crown replacements for hours. This new provider also noted that I was, in fact, not a candidate at all for the more expensive "deep cleaning" that Dr. Holinbeck recommended. Post treatment by Dr. Holinbeck, I have pain in the right side of my mouth that was not there prior, am unable to chew with the right side of my mouth, still require filling work, and now have a huge financial burden affecting my family. I appealed to Sara D and Dr. Holinbeck, kindly expressing my overall frustration and financial concerns, hoping for even a small reduction in my significant and unexpected bill and was met with defensiveness and condescending attitude. At one point, Dr. Holinbeck called me "Honey." In short, I don't think the neck pillow was worth it. read more

Dr Shetty is very nice, but a terrible dentist technically. I had 3 teeth worked on and while she was doing the work she drilled the hell out of my teeth. I was concerned then but what could I do at that point after the damage is done? just hoped for the best- you have to trust they know what they are doing. Now, everyone of those teeth has broken (on-lays and crowns), and there is not enough tooth left to do anything. read more

I went to IDS for cosmetic work..I can say they did an amazing job with my veneers. I am very thankful to the whole staff that took time to make me feel comfortable and answered all my questions during my appointments. I am not an easy patient to work on.
