We recently moved back to Pewaukee Dentalworks from the Brookfield office and could not be happier! On a recent visit to have my daughters 6 month checkup we found out that our insurance wouldn't pay for another 2 months. Something is big wrong with the Pewaukee facility. I have been going there for the past few years for 2 cleanings per year. The dental hygenist for me was great. Can't recall her name. Now it's a huge problem just to talk to anyone at that location. Has the building been vacated or what? Trying to talk to anyone at the Pewaukee location is like trying to contact the CIA. Where are they? Have been a patient for several years and now, suddenly, the office is closed without any explanation on a Monday morning. Can't reach by phone or at their office. Several UPS notices of attempted deliveries stuck to outside door. Guess I'm looking for a new dentist! read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! Make yourself a favor and don't even think to go to DentalWorks Pewaukee for orthodontist treatment. I can't believe that they don't have any reviews about how awful and unprofessional they are with orthodontist patients. They had one doctor that left in December and only had a schedule on Wednesday, I am an adult and I can't just leave work for this but I managed to fit my schedule. Well, when you think that things can't get worst, they get worse. The only doctor that they had for orthodontics left in December and now I have had no treatments for almost three months and their only answer is that they are interviewing new doctors. You would think that they have more doctors in the other office but they don't. My wires are now very long waiting for the new doctor that they have been cutting my gums and I had to go in person because they don't pick up the phone never and they're only answer was that I have to wait. When I ask for a reimbursement, they said that they will ask and send me an email which they never did. Now I have to skip work again to go again and ask what happened with the reimbursement since the wire is already causing trouble to my gums and I need to switch practice as soon as I can or at least seen by someone that can help me with the wire, not to mention that my gums are now more swollen and my teeth getting stained for the prolongation of the treatment. The front desk lady has been always very rude and aggressive but now with this situation was even more rude. If you are looking for braces or Invisalign, please do not go to this clinic. Make your self a favor and avoid it while you still can. Insurance is a nightmare once you establish care. This is a very unprofessional practice!!!! They don't even pick up the phone so you have to go in person to ask about the orthodontist or to make claims!!!!! read more

While the dental staff was terrific and kind, the billing is horrendous. My insurance wouldn't cover the complex procedures I needed, but, I was told a discount was negotiated and I was quoted a price. I paid for each and every procedure at the time of the service in full. Now, they want to bill me for thousands more saying the insurance says I should have paid more. This is AFTER they contacted the insurance company prior to the work being done. I find this bait and switch. With technology today, why on earth can't an accurate price be found before the service is complete? I won't be going back as I have zero trust in the cost of anything they quote. read more

To this day my teeth still hurt. I apparently needed a crown so they put in a temporary crown. I've had crowns before. I needed 2 temporary crowns before my permanent that to this day hurts. The dentist that was on that day said we won't charge you but they obviously did. read more

Horrible billing policies, I would spend 15 minutes at every visit discussing insurance and coverage before my appointment even started! And then they make you sign for the out of pocket expenses immediately, as if they don't trust their clients. The hygienists up sell expensive cleaning services and additional services that I have never been recommended at any other dental office. Staff is very nice, but hold onto your wallets, they will charge you for everything under the Sun! read more

Have been coming here for at least 10 years because of our former hygienist Sam, but this will be the last visit. Should have stopped coming after we found out she quit at the last visit. My daughter was placed with a hygienist lacking in basic manners & technique who claimed the office didn't offer sonic cleanings. Seems like a strange thing to get rid of after years of use in favor of old scraping tools. A call to the office later that afternoon confirmed they do in fact still offer the type of cleaning I requested, the hygienist just doesn't like to do them that way. What??? read more

I recently visited on an urgent appointment and was amazed at not only the fine quality of work done but more so, the compassion and fun-loving atmosphere of the ladies who worked with me. Dr. Herrick went out of her way to make me feel comfortable; allowing me to listen to music on her own personal phone to take my mind off of what was happening. Her hygienist, Shala, was the most polite and knowledgeable young woman in her line of work. Both of these professionals went out of their way to make me feel more at ease when I was admittedly terrified. Please save yourself unnecessary expenses and go elsewhere! The hygeinist convinced me I needed a very expensive deep cleaning for periodontitis and that a routine cleaning would not be adequate. I have always had good oral hygiene and always kept up with regular dental care and had never been told this before nor had I ever been told I had periodontitis before. She definitely made it clear that a routine cleaning was not an option. I later overheard the hygienist the next room over explaining the exact same thing and making exact same recommendation for same pricey deep cleaning to patient next to me. They are being deceptive with their patients and I would never again trust their opinion or recommendation and will be going elsewhere. I truly hope to prevent others from this same unpleasant experience. read more

Convenient location and hours. Office staff and hygienists are great! Easy working with insurance too.

No issue with the quality of dental care however, the pressure for additional services is something to be aware of. My problem with this provider is the inability of the billing staff to provide to the insurance carrier appropriate medical records for evaluation prior to issuing an Explanation Of Benefits (EOB). Now for months, I am being billed for service that would have been covered if the records had been submitted. This is assuming the services rendered actually prove to be medically necessary. read more
