Had he not gone in and gotten those knees of his replaced when he did, he would have been in a wheelchair within the next few years. When a medical office is difficult to reach before you are even seen, that raises serious concerns about how responsive they will be once you are actually under their care. After receiving no confirmation, I contacted the office. When I did not receive a confirmation of the cancellation, I called a second time and left a voicemail message canceling my appointment a second time. Despite that, I was later billed as a "no show", which is unacceptable. If the office fails to respond, fails to properly confirm an appointment, and then fails to process a cancellation, the patient should not be penalized for that breakdown. I cannot speak to the doctor's medical care because I never made it that far. But I can speak to the office experience, and it was poor enough that I chose not to proceed. For anyone dealing with pain, the last thing you need is added stress, unclear communication, and billing issues before care has even begun.
