I did not believe that, I've always seen myself walking. I saw him in person the following week and he suggested cutting all my toes off and using that flesh to close the wound. He didn't like the fact that I ignored his bad advice, he wanted to do a surgery where he goes in to clean my foot but also amputate if he sees anything, I did not agree to the amputation so when I was preop I had him cross out that part on the paperwork so it would be only a cleaning and he did not like that very much and threatened to drop me as a patient, I dropped him as a doctor thank God. I stopped going to rebound altogether, I ended up going to wound care and getting hyperbaric oxygen therapy and my flesh healed over the tendons within six months. He didn't suggest anything like that that would help me. So glad I trusted my gut and stopped going to this place. If I would have listened to his advice I wouldn't have a foot right now. These doctors don't care about the patient, I'm just money to them.

Which goes along with the culture of the Salmon Creek area, in general. The front office does not seem to offer many activities for children, and I only saw one child during my experience here which leads me to believe that the target audience served here is likely the elderly. There are restrooms available, though, likely not for public use. Bring your own water because there are no fountains around! Unsure about the staff, other than Jessica, at the front desk being friendly and helpful! Both ladies managing the front do a great job. I was referred here by Carolyn Weaver, at St. Vincent De Paul to Doctor Tek Fish. He is no longer accepting patients at this time, and there are 4 alternate providers who are taking new patients. My appointment was with Doctor Barnes. I have Molina insurance. This clinic offers inserts for $65 and custom orthotics for ~$600. There was an ease of scheduling and the clinic also offers additional out-of-pocket treatments. Unfortunately, insurance only covers custom orthotics if you are diabetic. Clover Podiatry offers the most affordable custom orthotics in the Vancouver area that I have found. Thank you for a positive experience!

I'll give them a 2, but I'm not going there anymore (and I never did switch primary care for my husband and son), so that should probably tell you something. I'm really surprised by the 1 star reviews for this place. I don't have a primary care physician, and I called yesterday to say 1. I need a primary care physician and 2. Any chance someone can see me today for something urgent? They happily obliged, everyone I interacted with at the office was so nice it almost confused me (I'm definitely more used to rude/uncaring medical office staff) and the nurse and doctor I saw took plenty of time to get lots of information from me and let me ask questions. I'm going to switch primary care over to this office for my son and husband as a result! (Ps. Coffee in the waiting room!)

As such attending most anywhere to see a Doctor has all the appeal of an extended stay with the TSA at the airport. Medicine is more a business than a calling in a lot of places; some front desk people care more about your insurance and co-pay than relaying what is wrong with you to your chart. Most Doctor's seem like they pay more attention to the outlines of their malpractice insurance than in finding a cure for what ails you. Then there are some places that can find that balance between efficient office procedure and patient care. They provide a space for people that is comfortable, sure the same magazines as most places, I think Publishers Clearance must offer a one size fits all subscription package to medical offices. The good ones, they have Wi-Fi available for free, a place for laptops in the waiting room instead of in your lap and a water fountain. Here at Family Wellness we have such a balance. It's a big building, they push a lot of people through here daily, it just doesn't look like it or feel like it. That my friends is the perfect Doctor's office. The nurses listen to you, they don't look like they are thinking two patients ahead of you. The Doctor that I see there, Dr. Young, is confident and takes some time with you. They even run some tests right there in the office, tests I've waited 10 days for in other places. You sick? Go here. You well? Go here to stay that way. They are right next to a 24 Hour Fitness Center, you can find out you're fat and do something about it within 250 feet of the front door. Then again if you shred something working out then help isn't far away. Win/Win.

THREE MONTH UPDATE, September 2018: The front desk hired a…read morenew lady who does an excellent job. I'm very pleased with the changes there. My appointments are smoother and the calls are more timely. My accutane course is going as expected, and my skin is clearing rapidly with only a few side effects. Dr. Badiei is monitoring my progress and making sure I'm having the best treatment possible. I'm very glad with this practice for their leaps in improving my care the last three months. The Quest lab is as annoying as ever, with long wait times and terrible front-desk associates, but their phlebotomists have done a very good job getting me in and out pain-free once I'm in the chair. Janet has been taking excellent care of me with courtesy calls making sure I'm doing okay. I have been thoroughly impressed with all the great changes and simpler procedures now that I'm established on my drug. Thanks so much everyone! I look forward to the next three to four months. Review as of June 2018: I see this doctor for my severe acne. I have tried everything and decided that accutane was the best course of action. This is my second round of 'tane and knew what to expect: monthly labs, physician visits, and lots of correspondence between the offices and myself to ensure that my prescription is ongoing. There is a very minimal window in which I can receive the prescription, as well. I love seeing the doctor, he thoroughly examines me and makes me feel like my needs are being met. He does not like to push too many treatments too soon, and suggested we start with other options before this drug. Badiei is a fantastic doctor. But the office has done such an atrocious job handling my paperwork that I have repeatedly had breakdowns while trying to receive care. This shouldn't be happening. I completely understand that offices are busy and can't always respond to patients immediately, but literal days have passed without receiving call-backs before, so I have needed to go into the office in person. Last time I went to Quest (the second time in a row that they forgot to send the request to them), it was faster for me to drive all the way back on Mill Plain to Dr. Badiei's office than try to get one of this receptionists on the phone... When I got to the office, they were on break. And when I did finally get in to speak to them, there didn't appear to be any logical reason why they couldn't have called me back and simply forwarded the necessary information in a minute or less. Unfortunately, twice in a row I have driven across town to the Quest Diagnostics Center for my labs, which is their preferred lab location, to find out that Dr. Badiei's office did not forward to Quest the necessary requests. Upon calling the office, I have not once ever gotten the receptionists to pick up. Just today, I left a voicemail hours ago requesting a call back to know if my lab request had been sent over to Quest. This is my one day off a week, and I only have a couple pills remaining. I will be missing extremely important doses because the people at the front desk can't get back to me in a reasonable time frame. Regardless of all of this, however, Janet is an absolute God-send! She is an amazing medical assistant that has taken all of the time and energy necessary to get me this prescription on time. I have found myself reaching out to her cell phone before the office phone because she replies more promptly, answers my questions clearly, and displays a deep commitment to my healthcare that I haven't experienced in any other medical office in my life. Today I was able to get a call-back from Janet in a half-hour, and she reassured me that my lab request was properly sent, she even called Quest and double-checked personally! I will end up missing a dose or two, but will be able to work with her one-on-one to ensure I'm receiving care in a timely manner. I highly recommend calling your medical assistant instead of the office to have your needs met. Janet saved the day! I will update this review next month if this time around goes smoother thanks to lovely Janet. I will continue contacting her directly with questions about my care. ***TL;DR*** THE GOOD: Beautiful office, convenient location, great doctor, fantastic medical assistants that have passion for their job. THE BAD: Quest lab is only location (they are often busy, long wait times), front office is very slow and can be somewhat rude.

I met with Dr. Badiei in March 2017 regarding an ongoing scalp infection that would not heal. I'd…read morehad it for several months, and it did not respond to various antibacterial creams and lotions. He took 2 specimens, said it appeared to be fungal, & could take 30 days to culture out & receive the results. However, if it's a staph infection he'd get the results much quicker and I'd hear from him within 48 hours. 32 days later I get a panicked vm (actually several vm's on various phones, and after hours) saying it was a staph infection and to call him immediately (keep in mind staph infections are very serious, potentially lethal and contagious). After speaking with him and inquiring why it took so long, he shrugged it off, mumbled something that was illegible, and also threw out "Spring Break" as a reason for delay. Although Spring Break lasts only one week for most families, apparently Spring Break is a 4 week vacation in his office!!?? Irregardless of medical conditions or test results???? This shows a complete disregard for patient care. If he truly was gone that long, medical protocol would generally dictate having a fill-in doctor to handle ongoing patient issues, emergencies, etc. I'd also assume if he was to be gone for the next 4 weeks, he'd surely tell me he was going to be gone for a prolonged period of time at some point during our appointment! Dr. Badiei also offered no information regarding care for the wound and minimizing chances of spreading the infection. He only answered the questions I asked. After inquiring if I should change my pillow case daily (so my wife doesn't contract the infection) he said not to bother. Once I explained there was bloody discharge on the pillow case every night and I wanted to ensure my wife didn't get this, he then agreed it would probably be a good idea to change that. Keep in mind, this was AFTER I met with him, and AFTER he saw the open, leaking, infectious wound on my scalp that had been there for several months. He also gave no mention of sharing hair utensils, sharing towels, alerting my barber to my condition, etc. He called in a prescription & TOLD ME TO CALL HIM BACK when I finished the meds (he didn't even care enough to make a follow up appointment with me right then and there to ensure this didn't fall through the cracks again). Needless to say I chose to entrust my ongoing medical care and oversight of this condition with another doctor, incurring additional expenses that would not have been incurred if Dr. Badiei performed the most basic and logical functions of his job. Over 6 months later I received a bill from Dr. Badiei's office. I assumed he decided not to bill me, as a courtesy, due to his obvious error and inability to provide timely and proper medical treatment. The absolute kicker is the bill showed over 120+ past due!! However, this was the very first bill I received from him. And already I'm over 120 days past due? Really??? I would not recommend Dr. Badiei to anyone. The care I received, or lack thereof, exhibited a complete disregard for patient well being, medical protocol, basic health and medical ethics. I write this in hopes something similar doesn't happen to another patient. This can be very serious. In my case, it was very apparent Dr. Badiei was unable or unwilling to perform even the most basic duties of his job.....communicating positive test results with a patient in a timely manner. Although serious, thankfully the results of my tests were not worse than a staph infection, and I still had time to get on top of this thing and get rid of this infection (ultimately under the care of another Dr. of course)!!!!!
