I have been involved in various capacities with Interdynamics, Inc., almost from its inception in…read more2000. From the beginning the company has demonstrated a concern for the community paired with service. The founder of Interdynamics saw a need in the community for access to mental health services before mental health became "trendy" and sought to meet that need with an increasing range of services from therapy to assessment. During the unprecedented COVID - 19 pandemic, the staff at Interdynamics quickly pivoted to provide virtual services that included workshops for school staff to address stress from both a psychotherapeutic framework and practical examples of stress relieving activities involving music and art as well as therapeutic supports for other essential workers. In the aftermath of the pandemic, Interdynamics recognizes just how deeply children were impacted and has teams of social workers and psychologists working with area schools to address their needs. Providing psychological support to others in the community is never an easy task and takes it's toll on those providers. Interdynamics recognizes this and strives to take care of the staff as well as the community with encouragement, fun activities, and incentives. I continue to be proud of my association with Interdynamics as the company has grown and evolved, staying in sync with the needs of the community it serves. Denise White-Jennings, Ph.D Psychologist

This was after I had filled out a large number of forms. I had already made it clear in the paperwork before we met. Then we got disconnected within 15 mins of an hour long session for which she never called back. When I called back, the person answering the phone was told by her to tell me their network died. She couldn't be bothered to notify me. Even by email. I was very disappointed and found their handling to be entirely unprofessional.

It can be quite taboo to write a review for a psychiatric practice--we still live in a world where…read moremental illness is highly stigmatized. Nonetheless, the services I receive by Joy Ellis-George and her entire practice deserve accolades. Mrs. Ellis-George is very accessible, always responsive, extremely helpful, spot-on accurate, and takes the time to learn and listen to her patient. What I really like is her partnership throughout your care. She works hand-in-hand with her patients to arrive at the best path forward for care. I've had the run-of-the-mill psychiatrists--you know, the one's that ask the same questions on every visit, modify your meds, if applicable, and then send you on your way after 10mins. Mrs. Ellis-George goes beyond your PHQ and/or standard questionnaires, etc., to understand your concerns and underlying issues. Once she took over my care (after leaving another practice), it resulted in a great improvement in my quality of life. Mrs. Ellis-George is culturally competent, has compassionate bedside manner, very thorough in her assessment, and I have never found someone in the psychiatry field that even compares to her. I am so grateful to have come across her practice. Side-note: I first learned of the practice via psychology today. I filled out an inquiry on her website (http://www.daretocaretoo.com/) to let her know I was looking for a new doctor immediately and transferring from an existing. I filled out the form on a Saturday afternoon. Immediately after filling out the form, she called me. She asked if my needs (medically and for medication) could wait until Monday or if I needed assistance that day. I knew from the first call that I had found a winner.

I scheduled an appointment with front desk, and I specifically asked for a télé appointment. Was never told that I needed to be there in person. On the day of the appointment when I called the office and was informed of their policy. I agreed to reschedule a visit for another day IN PERSON. The "manager" called me a few minutes later with a nasty attitude and was very rude and disrespectful. I had to ask her if "that's how they do customer service?" She slammed the phone down and the other associate had to answer the phone and communicate what she was failing to communicate. After the conversation I informed the associate that I did not have an issue with the policy that I was just made aware of, and I would be in for my appointment and the call ended. Few minutes later the associate call me to inform me that my appointment was cancelled and I'm no longer a patient. The office was working on documents for my employer to which I have been very patient and understanding, for them to waste a whole month of services that I could have received somewhere else is the utmost disrespectful and abusive thing they could have done. This is not the place to seek help, they are not helpful. It's just a bunch of people that are not trying to do their jobs with poor communication skills and nasty behaviors. Do yourself a favor and seek professional help from a professional firm...
