Pro: big parking lot, big waiting room, clean environment Con: long wait time, low staffing Needed to do a physical & blood test for my employer and I was on a time crunch so I was sent to this location compare to the Concentra I usually go to in beltsville. The parking lot is big so there is no issue with parking. The medical open at 7 am and I got there at 7:11 am and already there was about 10 people already waiting so I check in and waited for atleast 2 hours and 30 min until I was called in. After getting my vital done, blood drawn, and physical completed it took about 3 hours total from start to finish which is your whole morning gone just sitting and waiting. All in all, my experience was below average and I would highly suggest that if you need to go to Concentra for an employer to not use this location. I would gladly go to the Concentra in beltville compare to here in the future. read more

4/10/25 I had a fall at work and chose this facility (Concenta-Lanham) as one offered by the company who helps to manage work accident cases. There was no issue with wait time or staff. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and professional. X-rays were taken and I was told "they looked good" by Jarrett Wise, PA-C. My first diagnosis on the day of the injury was Contusion of left knee. Pain of left knee. The injury was so painful I could barely navigate getting into and out of the facility. Choice of crutches or cane was given. I chose cane because the crutches seemed too cumbersome. It was noted I could return to work the following day which was puzzling because of how much pain I was in. I could not extend the leg at all. I was provided Ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer which did little to nothing for the pain. I returned to the Concentra facility on 4/11/25 because I wanted them to re-evaluate the injury and possibly adjust my back to work date. I found it ridiculous due how much pain I was in that I'd be expected to go to work so soon. I was then seen by Henrietta Chikere, N.P. Immediately upon examining my knee, she left the room and came back stating the knee was fractured. The swelling of the knee was much worse than the day before and it was very warm from the inflammation. Obviously, my x-rays were not read accurately the first time. Ms Chikere quickly put an ace bandage on my leg which was wrapped extremely too tight. I was given an updated diagnosis of Contusion of left knee and Displaced fracture of left patella. The back to work status was same day. I questioned this even with restrictions that I was not given one day off to help in my recovery. The fact they misread my original X-ray gives pause someone made a serious error. Everything I've read about a fractured patella and at 67 years old I don't understand why I was advised I could go back to work the same day. Although it was advised I should be sitting 75% of the time at work, the leg stiffens up which makes it worse and there's no way to elevate it to help with the swelling. Not confident Concentra is making good choices for the patient and they're only looking out for the employer's benefit. read more

I had an appointment at 9:00 am arriving at 8:40 with all my paperwork filled out. They then gave me a duplicated packet for me to fill out with the same questions. After waiting in the very busy waiting room I was called in @ 10:40 to begin my physical and after a few tests I was told to wait some more, wearing nothing but their disposable shorts for 25 minutes (yes it was a cold room) I expected the Doctor was going to measure the height of my goose bumbs, but no, she ( PA) not a Doctor wanted to do the physical, and then debate what the exam was for. Then told to wait some more why they finished my paperwork. I finally left the building @ 12:30. If you don't have any other choice for your drug testing or are being paid for sitting in their waiting room I would suggest avoiding this location. read more

I was required to come to concentra after a work related incident. I will admit I read the prior reviews so I was Leary of coming to this location. When I arrived the front desk staff was professional and helpful. She was honest about the visit taking 2 1/2 hours, believe it or not it only too 45mins total. The problem that didn't sit well with me was my injury required an x Ray from my primary doctor and concentra staff gave me a lot of meds and that was it. However, not a bad visit considering a lot of people came for weather related injuries. read more

Go Somewhere Else! Horrible Staff!!! My second D.O.T Physical Exam at Concentra, and this time was a complete rude-fest nightmare! I got there and waited OUTSIDE in line from 6.:50am till they opened at 7am (they said to arrive super early). I wasn't called till 8:30am, and there was LESS than 10 of us! I got to the front desk and was told their card processing machine stopped working, and must pay $114 in cash. So I went to the nearest ATM, got $120 and headed back, presented my payment, and was scolded to get EXACT change! I told them to keep the change and that I'm ok with paying $120 instead of finding exact $114. Well, before I could even finish talking, the lady yelled - "Next Person Please!!!" I quietly left, got Starbucks, came back and paid the EXACT $114. While I waited, I observed a few other people arguing with their rather rude staff members, and some actually left in frustration. Oh, I almost forgot - the entire waiting area only had about 7 chairs, and I was told I could not wait (standing) and had to wait outside! I eventually left Concentra at 10:30am! Terrible customer service and have your employer fax in any drug screen verification needed. At 11am I arrived with my drug screen verification on my email on my phone as I did when I went the Concentra Medical Center at 1419 Knecht Ave. Baltimore, MD 21227 which is open 24hrs. I passed my phone to the clerk at the front desk when she asked to see it. 20 minutes later as I headed to sit in my car I recieved a call from the clerk who informed me they don't accept verification via phone or email and that I would have to have my compNy fax the cerification over 20 minutes later not when I informed her and showed her my phone... I left because I had to get my tractor trailor and fet rolling, I planned to drive it back and be screened then. I recieve a call at 1:57pm to come in for my drug screen. I was never notified that they had recieved the fax. I said I would be there in 19 minutes. The drug screen rep said ok I will take you out of tge system I said I am on my way, there was jo response for a minute then the line disconnected. I drove the tractor trailer back to the Concetra in lanham and was put back in line... I think the right thing to do would have been for me to be called next since they knew I had already been there and was delayed due to an unforseen policy issue at their office read more

This place gets a bad rap. Having worked in an ER, I understand that the nurses and other providers are working as fast as they can. There is paperwork to do and there are procedures that must be followed. Yes, it does suck to sit in the waiting room for an hour and a half, but once you get into the back the team is professional and you're done quickly. I've had to come here several times for various services and although it is frustrating to wait, I've never been dissatisfied with the overall service. read more

A sign in the office; says AVERAGE wait time for services; 45 minutes for a drug Screen. I arrived & there were less than a dozen people waiting. It took them almost 45 minutes just to take in my paperwork. Now I've been here over 2 hours and I still have not gotten in to do a procedure that takes at the most - 10 minutes. Lanham is the worst facility; I can see over 1/2 a dozen employees in the office; and why this should take this long; I have no idea! I don't need to see a doctor. Only gave a star because I had to. This place is hell. I sat there for two days 6 hours each day because they move at a glacial pace and have the worst attitudes I have ever experienced. When I asked how long because I need to go back to work, the woman at the front desk told me "that's not my problem, that's your jobs problem" Not only are they rude, but they are racist! When filling out my paper work, she practically filled it out for me but when the Spanish family behind me came up to the desk she told them to read it themselves and when they asked for help she told them no because it's not her job to read for people. None of the other people behind the counter said anything or offered help, they just abuse people and stand by each other. I witnessed the woman at the front desk curse this man out and then as he walked out she called his job and told them that he made a scene and she was going to call the police on him. These people are trifling. To go out of your way to try and get someone in trouble and possibly fired is appalling. I cannot believe they employ such nasty people. I wish that I could give ZERO STARS! I absolutely never ever write a review but here it is. I arrived there at 7am when they opened. There was 2 patients that arrived before me. I filled out appropriate forms and handed in at 7:15. The lobby began to fill up. After an hour and a half I decided to ask about the status of position in line. I was "next" according to the front desk. This was at 9:10. I understand that people are there for different reasons. I watched 6 more patients go back before me! And speaking with 2 other upset patients, they were there for the exact situation as mine. By this time it was 10 am. I approached again and was treated like the A-hole who's totally impatient. Extremely loud and rude. Embarrassing even. Never approached them with attitude. By 10:30 I guess they were sick of me because I got called back. I wish I could give this place no stars. Came here for a pre-employment drug screen and was told it was a 2 hour wait. After an hour I was called up for pre-check in. Once that was complete they told me that it was going to be two hours for drug screens. I politely informed the check in woman that I was told when I first came in that it would be 2 hours and I've already waited an hour. She told me again that drug screens will take 2 hours. So here's I am at 1.5 hours in and ready to submit my specimen and I still have another 1.5 hours to wait. Awesome! I'm glad I'm at a doctors office as I'm sure that I will need to see a medical professional for the UTI I'm developing for holding my pee for so long. I only gave this a one-star review because there is no option for a zero-star review. I had to go here to get a DOT physical to drive trucks for work. I went on a Weds. at 9:30, leaving me plenty of time before i had to get to my other job. First thing they tell me is it will be a three hour process. THREE HOURS. I bit the bullet because I need to get this done. I squeeze myself in between two sleeping men and start doing homework. Waiting. Day-time talk television is on. I got called to the first part of my physical. Then more waiting. Then I got called to the second part. More waiting. By the time they were filling out my paperwork I was late for work so I decided to leave and come back later that day. The worst part is that I needed a letter from my psychiatrist confirming I was ok to drive. Fair. What was not fair is that they wrote I "admitted" to having anxiety. That is just INSENSITIVE. To add insult to injury I had to drive back to Concentra, get a form, fax it to my psychiatrist, fax it back to them, and wait for a response. They claim to take 24 hours to review it. AKA a week of work/pay I would be missing. I called FOUR DAYS later and they told me I was missing a form. I assured them I was not, as I paid to have it faxed over. I emailed it over to them and they told me they would "try" to look at it that day. The clinician Tasha thought I was incredibly rude to ask if they could make it more of a priority. They don't realize that their inefficiencies are making me MISS WORK AND PAY. There is also probably some sort of discrimination against mental health patients going on here... read more

If you're thinking about going here for a drug test, DON'T. Although my wait time wasn't bad, I specifically mentioned SEVERAL times that I needed a drug test including cotinine. I must have confirmed this with them 3-4 times. When I went to pick up my results (which I couldn't get over email because they didn't bother to have me fill out a medical release form), they did NOT include cotinine. I needed to get ANOTHER drug test just for that. This time I was smart and asked for the medical release form. Think that's the end? NOPE. I'm on hold with them right now desperately trying to get them to send me my results via email. I called twice yesterday and they cheerfully told me they would email the results to me. Nothing. My forms are due to my employer tomorrow and this is the ONLY thing I still need. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I was injured while working on site by falling down a flight of steps the result ending in me not being able to sit because of the pain so I was forced to come to this "urgent" care facility by my employer so I may be paid for the time that I am off due to my injury. I was then forced to stand on one leg for close to 5 hours even though they had plenty of empty rooms where I could lay flat on my stomach before I finally was escorted to a room, in that room I waited for about 10 mins for the doctor who came in made me limp around the room and told me I'm fine and gave me an ice pack.. that's it. I can't even sit down and his professional opinion I am fine. Worst experience ever. Trying to get a physical done for work. Staff was friendly enough but that in no way shape or form excuses being here over five hours for a simple physical. Arrived at 1130 didn't get out until almost 5! At one point after the eye, ear and other test they told me all the rooms were full and I'd have to wait for a room to open to see the doc. I then proceeded to wait for over 2 hours to be called back. One of the nurses who calls people back asked if I need help because she noticed I'd been there for so long. I then tried to figure out what was taking so long and no one at the front desk had any idea of what was going on. While Concentra may serve a small population of children, I have never seen one child here in seven years of testing required for my profession....ever. Having to suffer through children's programming, err- Spongebob Square Pants, while I wait is not only annoying, but also unprofessional. When I last asked for the channel to be changed to an upbeat morning news program, I was told they "have to show cartoons until 8am." Pretty sure Maryland does not require this in any statute...and, since this is a nation run by adults, I think the TV channels should be geared toward those same adults. I now sit, surrounded by 14 other adults listening to S-bob make flatulance noises. It's also 8:24..I'm putting Larry Hogan on speed dial. read more

The emergency room is faster. 2 hour MINIMUM wait doesn't matter when you go either. Only one doctor on duty and is usually a PA not an MD. I'm been to 3 different concentras and the wait times are across the board. Horrible. read more

I went to Concentra Lanham, it was a nightmare. I greeted the front desk receptionist who did not return a greeting. After completing my documents I sat down with no further instructions from the receptionist. I waited for a while and saw some of the patients who were waiting left. I decided to go to one of the persons behind the counter to find out what's happening since it was 2hrs since I have been waiting. Her response was there are only two persons working, my response was, why not inform me and others on the list of the waiting time. I waited 3 hrs 10 mins only for a drug test and left without having it done. I would not recommend this medical facility to anyone. The front desk staff was unprofessional and rude. Some individuals completed their forms and just sat in the waiting area without being informed about their next steps. The facility was not packed and yet the quality of service was below zero..smh read more
