However, the upper management is unresponsive and deceptive. My mother passed away 6 months ago and they have yet to issue a refund. But I'm told that "we're doing the best that we can ". They sure take your money quickly and penalize you if you're late on top of the constant rate increases. Having a loved one in assisted living is difficult but it's horrendous that Heartfields is so poorly managed. Stay clear of this facility if you can.

Many missed steps reportable to MD Board or Realtors and amateur approach all around. I bought the house through Peter about two years ago and was selling so thought I'd give him the deal again....let's just say he communicated more with agents in his office to secure a dual agency deal and was so unprofessional I actually had to tell him to stop being a emotional L and get the deal done. Do not even call or text before or after closing...just took his commission and ran. Brian, his mentor, was dodgy and had his son do the staging (terribly) and make sure everyone in his office profits....it is NOT ABOUT THE CLIENT!!!

THE BEST ASSISTED LIVING AROUND! My mom has been there awhile and she is so happy and so are we…read more They take care of her dog too. The place is newly redone with private bedrooms and private baths. The care ratio is great usually 1 caregiver for every 3 residents. Activities, great meals in a nice place - this place is by far the best place around - we moved my mom out of another local facility into Whitewood and are so glad we did. There's nothing comparable to it in the area. They also have live in managers who see to it that things are done right.

Other facilities offer a snack or drinks while the family is at the bedside of an imminent death. None here. Other facilities offer condolences after a lived one passes. Not here, all the front office cared about was that the mattress be removed from behind his room. Had not even been 24 hours and we were getting things done asap. Not even an acknowledgement of his death, no sympathy card. Very task oriented office, not caring at all.

Her wallet was locked up at nurses station but mysteriously disappeared. she was left in soiled diaper for 2 days. Taken to ER the nurses in ER were appalled at her condition. Bed sores and bruises all over her legs. This place needs to be shut down.
