I was very nervous to move into an apartment, because it had been a very long time since living in an apartment home and I am extremely sensitive to noise. I have had no issues with noise since living here. I do live on the first floor and I can hear my neighbor walking above me sometimes, but it doesn't bother me at all! I live in the 3-bedroom and I am absolutely in love with the spacious floorplan. I have an absurd number of various kitchen appliances and they all fit in my kitchen! I am a big cook and love that I finally have a place for everything in my kitchen without it feeling overwhelming / cramped. The rooms are spacious and the storage in the bathrooms are amazing! The use of storage space is one of my favorite parts of living here because I feel like I finally have a place for everything. I love that there is a screened-in patio for me to enjoy the outside without having to worry about bugs and mosquitos! There is even a storage closet on the patio. I am a mom, so I really appreciate the convenience of having the school bus come to the front office. There are tons of amenities for my family and I to enjoy like the swimming pool that overlooks the lake (this view is something I haven't been able to find anywhere else in the area), there is cornhole, ping-pong, hammocks, pickleball, and putt putt golfing so there are tons of things to keep us occupied. I love going for walks around the lake path with my kids. We normally go for scooter rides & bike rides around the community! I've always craved a connected community and I truly feel like I have found mine.

The 3/2 was bigger, but seemed smaller the way it was laid out. We ultimately wanted to look for apartments that offered no carpet throughout and Ascend offered that with their first floor units. The grounds are amazing and being that they are a new complex, everything is clean, quiet, & stunning! Close to shopping and main roads, yet it's so quiet once inside. This may be my new home!

First off the office staff was amazing they made the move in process simple, easy, and fast! The amenities are amazing! I've lived in places where the photos don't match the complex but here the pictures don't do it justice of how well maintained everything is! The pool, gym, and even the office building and apartments look like they truly care about professionalism and their residents quality of life. Shout out to the maintenance team who are genuinely amazing and care about the residents needs. Had a plumbing problem in a Sunday and they did not delay the weekend on call guy was right there. And then Kahlil Wilson who did our routine inspection! He really took his time to make sure everything was functioning properly and changed our air filter. Not only that he explained why he did what he was doing and the purpose for it. So all in all everyone here has been amazing! If I could give The Brittany Apartments zero stars, I would. I paid more than $3,000 to break my…read morelease because living there had become completely unacceptable. From the day I moved in, the apartment felt poorly maintained and hastily thrown together. The window locks were broken, and the temporary "trick" I was shown to lock them still left one window unusable. I could not open my office window for the entire winter, and it took approximately three months for it to finally be replaced. The walls had large damaged areas that appeared to have simply been painted over, and the entire apartment looked as though it had accumulated decades of thick, uneven paint. There was a constant musty odor that no amount of cleaning could eliminate. When I raised the issue, management dismissed it as normal because I lived on the bottom floor. The ceiling air-conditioning fixture looked as though it was barely secured, and paint was chipping from the bathtub, which raised serious concerns about moisture and mold. Despite keeping my home meticulously clean, cockroaches would crawl out from beneath the dishwasher whenever I ran it. The blinds were so flimsy they broke during normal use, yet I was later charged $75 per blind for three blinds. The screen door had a large rusty piece sticking upward that created a tripping hazard. The laundry area was consistently filthy, its door was broken, the common entryways were rarely clean, and the walls were so thin that privacy was practically nonexistent. Packages were also stolen from inside my building. Even with delivery photographs showing exactly where they had been left, nothing meaningful was done. Management simply told me there was nothing they could do. Whenever I reported legitimate maintenance or safety concerns, I felt dismissed and treated as though I were being difficult for expecting a $1,950-per-month apartment to be secure, clean, and properly maintained. After paying more than $3,000 just to escape the lease, I received certified mail demanding another $150 that they claimed they had "forgotten" to charge me. The apartment may appear affordable for a two-bedroom near the beach, but the condition of the property, poor upkeep, security concerns, and management's response made it absolutely not worth the price. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise prospective tenants to inspect every window, lock, blind, appliance, wall, bathtub, and common area carefully before signing anything. Take detailed photographs and document every issue in writing. The one genuinely positive thing I can say is that Alejandro in maintenance was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, kind, approachable, and always willing to lend a hand or listen. He is a stand-up guy and deserves recognition. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing rental experiences I have ever had. 10/10 do NOT recommend.
