They agreed that I qualified for the $75.00 seniors rebate for mileage under 5000 km. Instead of adjusting my renewal total to credit me for that same amount, they told me that it was already factored in, and I should expect no credit. I told the broker (middle east male) that he was wrong and that I should be receiving a cheque or a reduction. He got defensive and angry when I told him that this was fraudulent. The Asian female manger overheard us and told me to get out. I tried to reason with her but it got worse and I left, with a half completed renewal. I went to another insurance company and told them what happened. This broker called ICBC and they agreed that I was entitled to a monetary credit - not the fraud that these scoundrels tried to pull off.

Planning road trips to the USA using the guidebooks and maps, getting the special AAA hotel rates there. This is before the days of GPS and data. There is a small waiting area with some reading materials. You will need to get the pod for coffee/tea from the reception. I did not see any water dispenser though. The wait was a bit longer than expected and it would be good to be given an approximate waiting time or a Q number so you could make a guess on the wait time. The staff I spoke with was friendly and helpful, and did not try to up-sell or hard-sell any services. Parking is available behind the building.
