I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and my fiancée ordered the hot shot both with oat milk. We were both pretty disappointed in the lack of flavor for both, even after we went back and had the barista add 2 extra pumps of syrup. Not sure what went wrong but ultimately we tossed them both and picked a different spot. The syrups they use are the natural Monin brand which are usually pretty light, so maybe it was the syrups or the way they were mixed. We probably won't be back as we were pretty sad about both drinks just being not up to par.

I love the coffee they use, very smooth with great flavor. The Kolaches were warm and delicious. As a local, I definitely found my go-to coffee spot.

I am passing through and when I went in the store almost all the products sold were definitely overpriced. Almost an 80% mark up on a bunch of the items. If you're looking for Asian items I'd recommend checking Walmart or Lowe's first before coming here since you might be able to find it for a significantly lower price. For instance, the buldak ramen is sold at Aikos for 13 dollars but Walmart sells them for 7. Aikos definitely has more variety tho! The owner is nice!

I'm not the biggest fan of French onion soup but this was a decent one. And although we only got 1 serving of bread, it was warm and perfectly soft inside. Why it was just ok: we turned up without reservations around 7:30 and were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the bar and were told that was also 30 minutes despite there being empty seats. Fine. We waited. 45 minutes later, multiple parties come in, without reservations. They manage to sit at the bar. We were told it's first come first serve and we needed to just grab a seat. Would have been nice if we were told that from the start, especially since we couldn't sit at the empty seats earlier. We got our food to go instead more than an hour after we first came in. If there was anything else open by the time we found out, we would have just left. Despite this, I'd say this is a good spot to get food to go, or make sure you have reservations ahead of time.

Very serene and peaceful, mind you the rooster on side was being plenty loud. We stopped as we saw signs for "mountain apples", so curiosity got the best of us and we stopped. It's a run down barn building, wider than deep, and to the left... cages. With goats, chickens, roosters, a donkey, and a camel. If there were others, they were hiding. The camel was funny, as he/she was very vocal. Trying to compete with the rooster, maybe. The barn store had a lot of canned items, jams, beets, sauces, salsas, random veggies. It housed various souvenirs as well. The young lady there was super nice, a Texas Tech student that was home for the holidays. Very neat place. If you're in this area of nowhere, it's a fun place to stop and stretch the legs, get some actual apples that are grown in the area, and pet the camel.

I asked them how business had been and they said they had been blessed during this time. We bought 2 pints of cider (one apple and one cherry for $2 each) and a pound of tart apples for $3. They had honeys and jams, nuts and mini pies. It's about $2 to feed the animals and admission costs are all covered by donation. The journey back was a lot quicker and we left happy and full of cider. 2020 #23
