I'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle and the first step I'm hearing from the fitness community involved detoxing the system. While looking for a colonic black owned business, I stumbled upon Inspired Thru Nature. As I began browsing their website, I noticed one service I always wanted to try, the ionic foot detox (scheduled a colonic for another time). An ionic foot detox is said to work by pulling the toxins out of your body through your feet. I texted the number on the website and sent an email requesting an appointment for two and luckily, the business had a dual machine and was able to do a couple's detox. Response was quick and a few hours after my initial contact. The owner is very accommodating and helps to work around your schedule. As you walk in, you're asked to complete paper work, a quick two/three page doc. We were then escorted to the back room, sat on a comfy sofa and advised of the purpose of each device we were being connected to.... a wrist wrap, foot basin w/ sea salt, and warm waist wrap (for comfort). She started the machine and checked on us a few times throughout the process allowing us to relax and enjoy the soft music and aromatherapy smells in the air. During and after the treatment she explained what toxins was being release based on a color chart. Once done, our foots were removed from the tub and placed in a regular soaking basin to clean off followed by the owner drying our feet off and providing a quick oil rub massage. I highly recommend these and the many other ways to detox the body (cleanses/colonics). Our systems are overloaded with high levels of toxicity from the harmful chemicals in our hygiene products, cleaning products, foods we eat, and natural airborne toxins. The liver/kidneys works overtime to filter them out so detox methods are a great way to help out. read more

I moved to MD last November and was happy to see there was a colonic wellness center in my area (literally about 8 minutes away). I was even more excited after I noticed the 5-star reviews and it was Black-owned. During my first visit, the noticed how clean the area was - which is a PLUS! Depending on what kind of person you are, Pam is not very welcoming nor does she say a lot. So if you're a person that requires that level of attention, then I'd pass on this place. The prices are a little high from what I'm used to ($85 per visit), but I was curious to inquire about any special discount packages Pam was offering. The rule is, you come three times, but on your 3rd visit, it goes from $85 to $65. What wasn't communicated to me was that you have to come within a week of each other. I spaced mine out over 2 months and was quite surprised that during my third visit, I had to pay $85. After she explained that they had to be done within a week of each service, I let it go --- and paid the $85 for the third visit although, she never communicated that to me in the beginning. I was thinking she'd meet me in the middle and have me pay $75, but nope. And I let that go... Well... I started a "new series" with her and this is when it began to get weird. I would text her and she would be late responding or would hit me up the day before an appointment that I never scheduled. Or, she wouldn't remember when you came/didn't come (she keeps a really bad time sheet in a manila envelope in a large file cabinet). There was even one time I booked with her and the next day, her assistant never showed up which was a total inconvenience to me. She kept saying she would make up for it etc etc. and when she finally did... she tried to charge me $85?!?! I went through my phone and gave her each time I came etc. She was missing a visit (of course) which brought my total from $85 to $65 -- then I looked at her like "Ummmm, didn't you say you were going to give me a discount for the no-show incident." She gave me a discount --- it was $10 off. So, I received $10 off of a service when you didn't show up for a confirmed appointment that I had to move my schedule around for? Wow! Whenever I patronize businesses, I will give you an opportunity to make it right before I make the decision to not come back. As a business owner, you have to truly ask yourself "am I doing the right thing by the customer?" or "Is there something else I should be doing to make my customer's experience better" or "If I was in their shoes, would I come back?" Maybe she was like that previously hence the 5-star reviews, but I don't think it holds in 2019. I haven't been back nor will I. read more

I had heard great reviews about Inspired Thru Nature from a friend and they gave it a perfect score so I was determined to see for myself. When I first call to get information about the business, I was on travel for work but that did not stop Pamela from telling me everything that I needed to know to make my visit a great experience. She scheduled my visit, told me when she would call me to confirm, and talked about my diet to ensure I was ready to go. When I arrived, I was greeted by Pamela and she toured the space with me. As she concluded I asked more questions about the heated sauna treatment to dissolve my curiosity! I mean that alone made me understand just how dedicated to this work she is! She gifted me an over $70 treatment as a new customer. I was elated. During the sauna treatment, she came to check in on me and supported me with just anything I needed. She let me know that she was preparing my colonic treatment and once I was done, she would walk to the space and get me settled with my next treatment. Once my first treatment was over, Pamela gave me towels and water to make me feel comfortable. ( She even offered me a robe and footies) When we got to the colonic room, she introduced me to the equipment in the room, told me how to work each component and explicitly told me how she would help me through it all. She made me feel so comfortable and kept checking on me. She consistently asked for my comfort level and if there was anything that she could do. When my session was over, Pamela came and told me how to end my session. She walked me through how to clean up and told me do not worry about the machine, she would clean it all up. I was so ashamed but she insisted by saying that "this is what I love to do! I do not mind at all" Her spirit and affect was so naturing and loving I could not think of anyone not walking away from this experience full of happiness and less of weight! Pamela and her assistant are so loving and so customer service driven, kind, attentive and so overly accommodating. I have been back to for services every two weeks and I am dedicated to supporting any business that thrives on always putting customers first! I would HIGHLY recommend ITN to anyone and if your visit is not just as rewarding, I would even pay for the visit myself. That is how certain I am on the excellence that this business thrives from! I am beyond happy to call myself a customer. I will continue to support business and will voice my support again and again. A good friend of mine referred me to Inspired Thru Nature, in 2017. In the beginning I was a tad apprehensive about getting Reiki for the first time. My first visit, Ms. Pam made sure I was comfortable, and explained what would happen throughout the session. The environment is very calm, laid back, and she makes you feel at ease. I have tried many services of the past few that Ms. Pam offers (reiki, spiritual healing, and hydro colontherapy). I purchased a colonic Groupon for this place, and called Pam immediately to make an appointment. It was not difficult to make an appointment, but it did seem she had an extremely tight schedule. Fortunately, I was looking for a weekday appointment and not a weekend appointment like she thought. She was pleasant to work with, but not overly friendly or overwhelming. I also made an appointment for my mother who is deaf, and so I let her know I would have to be her interpreter. She obliged. The day of the appointment, I ended up being a few minutes late and Pam was very understanding. Not being from the area, I had a bit of trouble finding it but made it in good time. She was able to take my mother in immediately, and was very understanding in when I required her to explain things in detail to interpret. It was my mother's first time, and Pam was very kind and detailed with her which I appreciated. My appointment was afterwards, and quick and painless. The entire appointment was very calming and relaxing. Because I had done this in the past, Pam let me do what I needed to do. She allowed me my privacy and it was grand. The hydrotherapy machine they feature in this office is very modern and not like the ones I'm used to in California. It was an open system, so it was nice that I could literally relax and read a magazine. I didn't need to constantly turn the switch on and off. So that was a major plus. I am a Colonic Pro. I have gotten a colonic quarterly for the past 8 years. During this time I have had 5 practitioners and have experienced the open and closed system for colonics. I had been thinking about getting a colonic for a while and decided to take the plunge last weekend and it was well worth it. It had a very private, clean and welcoming atmosphere which I appreciated. The owner (Pam?) was great about telling me about each step-by-step and letting me know exactly what would be happening throughout the process. I went there Sat 12/3/11 with Groupon for ionic foot bath detox plus colon hydrotherapy. Got ionized from wrist entered point to foot basin-pretty comfortable. Pam is very imformative. She shares an office with 2 related massage & acupuncture services. First time foot bath detox but regularly use foot patch, This foot bath seems to be much faster torelease toxins. Pamela is great! She is personable and welcoming but allows you space based on your comfort level. Her spa is very clean, cozy and comfy. She went out of her way to meet me outside at night when I was new coming to her office. She explained everything before, during and after my service. I found Pamela around February of this year (2015), and she brought me back to life!! That's the bottom line; I started off with the Holistic Health Assessment, followed her advice, used the products she recommended, tried a couple other services like the Colonic series, the Ionic Foot soak, Massage w/ Sauna and it was the best investment of time and money I have ever made.
