We found out from the shop owners on either side of Consign Design that Lynne and John in approx. July, emptied their 149th street store of consigned goods over a weekend. August 16, 2024 We emailed Lynne - Consign Design and they responded with "I am sorry but the store closed at the end of May. Business was very tough for the last year and it just wasn't feasible for us to stay open" August 16, 2024 We responded "When and where can we pick up the our unsold items?" August 16th, 2024 Lynne Consign Design responded "Nothing that was left in the store past 120 days was donated as per your contract. I am pretty sure I sent a payment in the spring. I will have to look into this and get back to you." August 19, 2024 We responded "We do remember popping into your store in the spring to drop off a blue/white coffee urn with matching small mugs. At that time, you told us that you'd be sending a payment to us. I did check our deposits, but we didn't receive a payment." Since August 19, 2024 we have been ghosted by them and have not received a payment or our items back. PLUS we did not sign the contract copy nor did we sign to have any items given to charity.

They were not my style (and I could not have afforded them if I wanted them) because they were very formal, and I was looking for something a little more fun. They did have a selection of wine glasses and other things for 25% off, but even with the discount, these items were not in our range. Despite the lack of money that we had available we walked slowly through this store and browsed the beautiful things. Everything was very formal and fancy. If I had enough money to splurge, I would go here and buy one of their beautiful tables. This store is dripping in glamour and it needs to be seen to believed.
