I changed PCPs, and neither the new or old one had a clue. I went to a spine specialist (non surgeon), interventional radiolgist, chiropractor, and PT. PT helped a bit. The spine Dr. suggested surgery, but had no idea who to refer me to. It was awful that no one could help. I got Dr. Kimball's name from a post-op nurse who has seen his results, and I called for an appointment in early November. I was warned that he had no openings for consult until January and no openings for surgery until March, but advised to come see his PA, Sean, to see if I even needed surgery. I went for the appointment with Sean, and Dr. Kimball (after seeing my MRI) walked into the exam room, told me that I couldn't wait for his next opening, so he was going to make an opening in December. I had surgery the first week of December, and today I am 100% pain free. BEST NEUROSURGEON EVER!!!! Dr. K and Sean really are the absolute best!!! I don't even want to think about what my life would be without Dr. Kimball!!

Avoid Red Rocks, or try calling when they're not out to lunch. Heh, heh. Very disappointing. They're literally down the street from my house, and also provide PT. But they blew it. If I need PT (foot is still in a walking boot, but I'm doing Pilates), I will absolutely NOT go to this unreliable place. I like businesses that return phone calls.

I arrived with little to no range of motion, and a jaded outlook as my attempts at avoiding surgery at a different PT clinic had epically failed and left me worse off. When I called to make my first appointment, I relayed my concerns -- and unlike the other clinics I called, I wasn't dismissed, but rather scheduled with the clinic director with more extensive experience and advanced certifications. To say that I've been pleased with the progress made entirely possible due to the hands-on treatment, customized therapy sessions, communication about at-home exercises, pain management and an understanding of the non-linear progress that is postoperative healing, is an understatement. I have relocated and am still having the rib and neck pain worked on through a referral given to me by Dr. Zarou. If I have to, I can live with the neck and rib pain. I was in agony with the back pain. Thanks to Dr. Zarou, I am able to go about a normal day with minimal pain. I had seen over 20 doctors before seeing Dr. Zarou. The resultant recommendation of these doctors was for me to take nerve deadening pills to relieve the pain. I was not ready to take these pills with their nasty side effects for the rest of my life.
