They just need to open a place closer to the suburbs outside of Chicago like in Orland Park, Tinley Park. I love stepping into this store because the smell is absolutely heavenly! One of my favorite smells ever is the smell of baking cookies. This is a small location, but it's perfect for dropping by to pick up cookies or ice cream. I suggest ordering online because you don't have to wait and they offer curbside pickup. I haven't tried delivery though but know that that is an option to get your cookies as well. I ordered a birthday cookie cake from here, and the value is so good! When I called to report the error, I was told they could not give me a refund and the earliest they could remake the cake was in an hour and a half. So I'm a big fan of insomnia cookies and been frequenting many of their locations in different cities. One late night adventure, led me up there to this location. And I was a bit disappointed, I visited the store around 9:30 pm and they had ran out of most cookies. From what I recall they had a total of like 3 or 4 options that weren't the common ones at all. I have been seeing a lot bad reviews specifically about deliveries and let me just say, as someone who has ordered cookies from Insomnia Cookies for years, as well as knowing the regional manager and shift leads at the store, 95% of the issues with Insomnia Cookie deliveries is customer error. Many of these people who have left negative reviews probably forgot to mention that they provided the wrong address or phone number for the delivery, also I have heard many stories from the drivers at Insomnia Cookies that they will attempt to make a delivery but the person who ordered doesn't answer their phone or the door bell, forcing the driver to have to go back to the store only to get a call from an angry customer saying they never got their delivery. I had actually seen this place while eating lunch at Fat Sandwich (2 doors down) and looked it up on Yelp. There is a sign on the door saying "WATCH YOUR STEP". The guy behind the counter warned the girls who ordered ahead of me to be careful on the way out. He offered me the same advice. I asked if a lot of people fall down there. He said "about 90%"! One of the girls on line ahead of me ordered the raw cookie dough. The guy behind the counter warned her that he was not really supposed to sell it, and that raw dough could make her sick. I guess that's true, I just thought it was a weird conversation... I got my cookies to go. I would have gotten milk, but I could see that the only had two bottles in the fridge, and both were chocolate milk. So I stopped at a gas station on the way home for some 2%. I got one chocolate chip (an easy way to guage a cookie place is by their CCC's) and one snickerdoodle. They were $1 each (no tax). The CCC was good.. maybe even a little better than good, but I surprised myself by enjoying the snickerdoodle more! The CCC was a little greasy, but certianly very good. Parking in this area can be difficult (as in most of Champaign). Anyway, I would go to Insomnia Cookies again.
