I've been seeing Dr. Sinawi for about the last year and have alternated from multiple times a week…read morevisits to a few a month. I originally made my first appointment to help with mid back pain that wouldn't quit. I requested an appointment through their site and was promptly contacted directly to set up an appointment. A few things stand out to me about Dr. Sinawi that may be able to sum up my experience: flexible, friendly, persistent and creative. Flexible: I work in Detroit but live in RO and I can't tell you how many times i've called and said I'd be late due to traffic. Every time, I get an immediate and friendly reply from Meghan the receptionist (who is super friendly and personable herself) letting me know if they can make it work. 9.9/10 they are able to fit me in. They advise I may have to wait a little but I swear i've never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. I appreciate that flexibility with all that competes for my time. Dr. Sinawi seems to understand that life happens and his priority is getting you the care you need. Added bonus, they recently added online scheduling that you can do from your phone or computer! Could it get any easier than that!? Friendly: No one wants to go to a Chiropractor that's a total butt or stuck up about the practice... at least I don't. Dr. Sinawi is a fun guy who is relatable and makes it easy to communicate with. I truly enjoy my visits from a human level. Good people give good experiences. This is also important to me because it creates an environment where I feel comfortable telling from if something did or didn't work. He is open to feedback and does not take it personal. If you do see him, be honest with him about what is working and not. That friendly demeanor isn't just a front, he will actually listen. Persistent and Creative: I'm going to lump these two together since I think they are two skills that complement Dr. Sinawi in his approach. When my first few sessions didn't get the results we were looking for right away he tried all kinds of different techniques until we found what worked for me. He keeps great notes to reference back to and always remember what did and did not work. At one point earlier this year I had my TMJ flare up and kick me in the face so bad I was going crossed eyed from the pain. Dr. Sinawi helped me with adjustments to my jaw and over time, we found relief from the adjustments that I just wasn't getting from the Dentist. I'd also like to add that Dr. Sinawi is open and even encourages complementary treatments. For example, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, when it will be effective. Through his recommendation I started seeing a message therapist and the combination is really working for me. I see this as another example of how he has his patients best interest in mind. Bonus: He is also open late on Tuesday and Thursday which super helps us folks who are working the ol' 9-5.

I agree with numerous reviews here that this woman is terrible. It's even hard for me to call her a…read moredoctor. And I wish I could give her a zero or a -100 review. I saw her on August 10, 2023 and my leg still bothers me from a Varithena injection that she gave me. My leg was not hurting me before she did the injection. I simply had a vein on my right calf that protruded out a little bit and some dark spider veins on the inside of my right ankle. The next thing I know I have a large "hard and dark" vein that hurts to the touch on my right calf and behind my knee hurts so bad. I had for months afterwards, difficulty walking down a set of stairs because of the pain in the rear of my knee on my right leg. I still, now in May 2024, nine (9) months later, am bothered with discomfort behind my right knee.. I never had any discomfort behind my right knee before that injection. And the vein that she injected into is still tender to the touch and dark and unsightly. I told her and her staff that they should have explained what to expect more before doing that injection because if I had known what I would go through with that Varithena injection, I would've left my leg alone. In addition, she did not make sure that I had compression stockings when she did the injection in my leg. They told me I had to go out and buy some myself and I was not able to purchase them right away because of my busy schedule. It actually took me weeks to get the proper compression stockings and on one of my subsequent appointments with Pensler, she laughingly said she probably should sell the compression stockings in her office to have them available for her patients. I said, yes that would have been good... I asked one of her assistants on my second appointment how many other people have problems with this Varithena material being injected and she said 80% of the people have the pain that I had after the Varithena injections. I told her that they definitely should warn people ahead of time and make sure that they want to deal with the pain afterwards and if it's worth it to them. Also, when I complained to Pensler about it, I told her I didn't want any more of those types of injections and she said, "oh you don't need anymore" but then when I came in on another day where she was not there, even though I thought I was going to see her because I was having still pain in my leg, one of her assistants who did a third or fourth ultrasound and told me that I needed two more injections in the back of my right thigh with that Varithena stuff. I told her "ohhhh, heck no". I told her that I don't want any more of those injections ever. I was used to, years before, having sclerotherapy injections done on my spider veins in my legs and I had never experienced any post-op pain like this. Then I went to see her one more time. I had suddenly started having a pretty severe pain in my ankle for the first time while on the trip out of the country at the end of October 2023. I wanted to make sure that I had not developed a blood clot in my leg. Pensler told me that she agreed with her assistant that I do need more injections with that horrible Varithena stuff. I again told her "no way" and I reminded her that she had previously said I didn't need anymore. And YES she is all about the MONEY. That one Varithena injection and two sclerotherapy injections that her assistant, Darryl, did to my leg on my second visit, when she wasn't there, and all the many ultrasounds that they did, they billed to my insurance over $5,600. Also, she told me on my first visit that she recommended that I get this procedure for "Mays Thurner Syndrome" done where she would put stents into my groin to aid the flow of blood to my heart and that would require me to take aspirin every day for the rest of my life and that too, I told her "oh, no way". When I told my new vein doctor what she recommended with the stents placed into my groin, my new doctor became so angry and said she could not believe that Pensler would recommend something like that, that would alter my life forever for just one small vein protruding on my right leg. My new doctor was horrified. Also, my new vein doctor "required" that I had compression stockings with me before she would do any injections and they also offered them for sale in their office. I feel that Pensler is very dishonest and very money driven and she's a terrible, terrible, terrible. I feel so upset that I trusted her totally and did not think to check her reviews online first before going to her. She has many, many bad reviews. I would never have gone to her if I had read her terrible reviews. In closing, I simply say... RUN, don't walk, away from this doctor's office.
