Not only has she helped address the physical pain, but she has also taught me so much in the process - she's explained how my muscles are connected as well as things I can do to help (posture, stretches, yoga styles). She's professional and has always done incredible work. There have been days my back is in immense pain when I see her and by the time I finish, I can move again. She's not only dealt with the lower back pain but helped with other areas of my body that were effected from it that I hadn't even realized. Kristin is a phenomenal massage therapist and I highly recommend her!

(I was feeling pretty amped up and some nervous energy when I first arrived). She has a warm, caring, fun energy! She made sure I was comfortable and offered a weighted blanket, bolster, and pillow. We started the session with some frankincense tea and energy cleansing. She gave me a choice of her leading me in a guided meditation with the sound bowls or the sound bowls alone. I HIGHLY recommend her guided meditation with sound bowls. She took me on an intuitive healing journey that had me feeling comforted, nurtured and safe. I also felt this beautiful expansive energy, and experienced energy moving in my hands and especially my scalp. After our 1-hour session, she let me take my time re-orienting back to the physical space and offered me sparkling or regular water. It was so nice to feel like I could take my time and enjoy our energy together! If you're contemplating booking a session with Makaila, please do! She also has accessible prices, which is so wonderful. I'm planning on coming back for more sessions and bringing friends and my Mom! I'm excited to try her Red Light/Infared therapy next!

I always make it a point to come here whenever I'm visiting my mom in Frederick. After trying a few…read moreplaces in the area over the years, I realized nothing compares to the level of professionalism, consistency, and genuine care that this clinic provides. What really sets them apart is that everything feels transparent and trustworthy. The therapists here aren't relying on friends or family to boost their ratings -- their reputation comes from real clients who keep returning because the quality is unmatched. Every session feels intentional, therapeutic, and grounded in actual skill, not just routine motions. The environment is clean, calming, and organized, and the staff communicates clearly from the moment you book your appointment. They take the time to listen, adjust the pressure, and focus on what your body actually needs. There's never any rushed feeling, no awkwardness, and no "assembly line" vibe like you get at so many other places. Honestly, going anywhere else feels like a waste of time. This is the only spot in Frederick where I've consistently received massages that genuinely make a difference -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Personally, I don't trust the "independent" or solo-operated setups you see around -- the ones with inconsistent communication, unclear policies, questionable reviews, and none of the structure or accountability you get in a real clinic. Too many of them rely on personal acquaintances for ratings, and the quality varies wildly. It's just not worth the risk. This clinic is the only place in Frederick where I feel completely safe, cared for, and confident in the professionalism behind every service. I won't go anywhere else -- and I genuinely don't recommend that anyone else does either.
