I had been having chronic neck and shoulder pain for the last few months. I booked a 30 min deep…read moretissue massage with Melissa M . I highly recommend going to Melissa , after the 1st visit I had 75% relief. I went back 2 weeks later and now all my pain is gone. I have full range of motion back . Melissa will talk and ask you why you were there for the appointment and address these issues. I will be going back monthly to see Melissa. Thank you.

I woke up with a huge knot in my left rhomboid and desperately needed some deep tissue body work…read more I searched for a legit spa in the area and found Touch of Grace Spa and Salt Cave. When I called to book an appointment they had one time slot available - the website connected to Yelp does not work - so I wasn't able to see a list of services. When booking over the phone I spoke with a nice front desk gal who offered two massage services, Swedish or Deep Tissue. I booked the deep tissue massage. Note: I wasn't asked any preference on a female or male therapist. I guess they only had a male therapist available (which I don't have an issue with but I do feel like the receptionist should have informed me that they only had a male therapist available and if that worked with my preferences). The studio was hard to find as it is tucked in a corner and hard to see in the parking lot. The office itself self is set up nicely when walking in and the front desk gal was professional (can't really say the same for my male therapist). They did have a neat and spacious looking salt cave - one of the best I've seen - but I did not bundle that into my vist I spoke with my therapist before my massage and let him know specific areas I needed work on - my left rhomboid/scapula/lat, my right trap, and my right lower back/hip/glute - I explained that besides my hip and glutes I ONLY wanted upper body= no legs. First my deep tissue was more like a very weak firm Swedish massage - not fully concentrating with healing intention to where my biggest knot/adhesion was. He decided to massage my full body when I said I only wanted my upper back, lower right glute and hips, and then some forearms and hands. His draping was very unprofessional- I've gotten well over 200 massages in my short life time and I've never had anyone drape me to where my entire buttocks was exposed let alone the massage therapist massaging my entire glute - and not in a deep tissue type of way but a very light Swedish massage. This was extremely unprofessional. I sincerely felt like I was paying someone to enjoy touching me instead of touching me in a therapeutic and healing manner. It was very uncomfortable for me and I will never go back there again. I just had a bad experience with my therapist but maybe other therapist are actually professional and their salt cave looked like it would be a relaxing experience.
