This is my second placement with Insight Global and I am very satisfied with the company. Becca Schwartz was my main liaison for the most part and she was very diligent and helpful in responding to any queries that I had. I was initially skeptical about going from full time permanant employement to consulting - will I get paid on time, what kind of support will be provided after my contract ends, and so on; I had many questions. With Insight Global I am never worried about my paycheck - they would inform me if there is a public holiday during the payroll cycle so I could submit my hours early and still get paid on time. I was most impressed by the timing that they were able to place me on projects, both times. I think the whole process from interview to actually day one on the job was less than a week on my new project. (maybe down to 2 days even). I am now 6 for 6 in working with their recruiters that don't respond to jobs that they have sent to me. On the last one they sent me an email with the job description and to either check if you are interested or email the specific recruiter. I twice (from two separate email) clicked on I'm interested and once sent an email directly to the recruiter and NEVER heard back from them. A complete waist of time. I gave it 1 start because that's as low as you can go, otherwise I would have given them 0. read more

Although I am not in this local area, the opportunity came out of this office for my local area. And just like the others who have stated here, I also experienced non-responsive, "ghost" behavior after the interview from my recruiter. This is "very" unprofessional. During the honeymoon period leading up to and including the interview, all was well. So, the behavior of these recruiters appear to unfortunately be accepted cultural principles and guidelines to not follow-up and ignore candidates. As an employment agency - not good. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would, believe that. I was called by Mackenzie Adams in regards to a building engineer's position in Downtown Chicago. Had a great screening and everything, so the next step was to talk to HR. So I spoke to a representative named Pam I believe. Everything pointed to me getting hired, right? WRONG! After 15-20 minutes of talking, she turned around and said I live too far. I live in Waukegan, about an hour north of Chicago, and yes, traffic isn't nice, but being in the HVAC field it's pretty much an everyday thing! I also told her I'm willing to relocate, but she shot that option down also. I'm thinking, "what a waste of time!" Then she suggests commuting to Milwaukee, which also is an hour away from me. If I'm to do that, you might as well gave me the Chicago job. So after all that, I'm called by Mackenzie again. She tells me they have a job in the North/Northwest suburbs of Chicago, but the duration is one month. I asked if it lead to a permanent position. She said no due to managers being slow about filling jobs. I then told her how silly it would be to leave my current job to work somewhere for only a month and then have to wait who knows how long for another opening. Thank you for your time and please do not contact me again. Leave these temp agencies alone because they don't care about the people they work. They just want leads, to make money off them, and have serious internal issues. read more

This company was great until I was treated and many others were treated with disrespect by another employee. To be degraded and talked to the way I was is unacceptable and deplorable. And for them to let an employee speak to me the way she did and get away with it is completely not alright. read more

Words can't even describe the element of shock of this disorganized company. What kind of corporation welcomes you in an email and then writes back the following day and tells you it was an "error" on their part? They're pushy to get your paperwork, fingerprints and online training done but since the fingerprint results took too long, they said they were "sorry" but would call back if there would be another project. This was nothing but an emotional roller coaster especially since I had to chase them down to get paid for the online training and it took 4 months to see the paycheck. In the meantime, you are added to the Welcome and Congratulations and training schedule when your hiring was retracted! Funny, nice to know they got their commission off of me as apparently I'm in "active" status for the next 3 years! Do yourselves a favor and walk AWAY ! They're a total JOKE and trust me... the family and friends were pretty angry at their treatment of me. STAY AWAY from this agency cause they DON'T care about you! They just care about leads to earn their commission! SHAME ON YOU INSIGHT GLOBAL! You don't deserve NOT EVEN ONE STAR! read more

Last year I received a phone call from an agent at this company who said she saw my credentials on LinkedIn, suggesting I send in my resume regarding a company where I could be a great fit. After I sent in my information, I never heard from them again. Emails were never answered and never answered her phone calls. Wasted my time. Don't suggest something to a candidate to get leads for your benefit. I doubt the role even existed. read more

This chop shop is the worst. They hire 22 year old kids and just throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. If you don't get the job you will never hear from them. No follow up call, not even an email saying "they went with someone more experienced" or whatever. They don't have any real relationships with employers. They just search LinkedIn all day long looking for anything and anyone. Would never recommend to anyone but of course people who are looking for jobs are often desperate and will talk to anyone... read more

I received a call about a position that would be a good fit. However, this was the second call about the same job, different recruiter. We had a phone screen and I sent an updated resume. I haven't heard a word in a month. I sent a follow up email after 2 weeks and still no reply. Sounds like another staffing agency just scamming! There is no job! Beware! read more

Whitney Hedlund (Rays) called me about a gig with AT&T. I felt misled, I never been a "contract employee". And those looking for careers aren't looking for staffing agency temp work. She was misleading, wasted my time energy and gas. She had a nasty attitude when asked to educate me more about "insight global" and why I wouldnt be an official AT&T employee. She kept on stating, "it was in the e mail, did YOU fail to read its entirety?" Very condescending. It was a 2 hr waste of driving, $22 waste of parking. Her look and body language and tone was absolutely unprofessional. I ended up cutting the meeting short by telling her I'm uncomfortable with moving forward. She looked disgusted. Oh well, as a piece of advice, regardless of what's stated in whatever e mail, reiterate everything verbally in the prescreening phone call prior to setting up a "meeting". Also mention it's about $20+ dollars for parking if driving. Worst most unprofessional experience. read more

This place will call you to tell you they have a job (especially entry-level candidates), when they don't have any, just to use you for leads. They will ask for previous manager names masking it by saying they need to check references, so they can give them sales pitches or hound them for the names of the companies' decision makers. Why would you need references checked even before being put on any interviews. Your references will not appreciate that. They will also ask for names of other candidates, can't they find their own! I mean that is their job and there are so many people looking for work! And of course the classic trick of trying to get leads by asking the candidate what companies have you been interviewing with and then ask for the names of the interviewers. I experienced the WORST recruiter! Her name was "Whitney Reys" she calls me about a job and has me come into her office downtown for a recap and there was NEVER a job. I was supposed to interview 2 days after I came into see her and then IT turned into her saying the client moved it back two weeks to her telling me there is NO interview. I have been an employee of Insight Global for close to four months and I can't imagine an environment I would rather work. This is a team of young and enthusiastic people who really care about the service they provide to those on the job market. Every morning I wake up feeling excited that I can provide a stranger with an opportunity that can positively effect their lives. And what I find encouraging is that I know my peers feel the same way. This is a company that strongly values relationships, because at the end of the day that's really what matters most. worst place to work for insight global took over my contract with another company and soon as they did this it all went down hill from there. All of a sudden the new employees they hired on and I trained are now our team leaders how is that possible when they have no experience and just started there with no freaking clue as to what to do or handle situations when people complained about their lack of leadership they were written up or worse fired. After I was fired for no reason I called and demanded my job back and was told there is nothing i can do and that I can never work for Insight global again how is that ethical. read more

Upon moving to the Chicago area, I was fortunate enough to have been recruited by Insight Global for a position with a large corporation. I have been working here for over a year and my experience has been a very positive one. The representatives at Insight have always been very supportive and the pay is competitive. As my responsibilities and productivity have increased, my pay would reflect that as well. They work closely with our managers to get feed back on our performance and have kept us informed of what they expect from us. On my first day of work my manager escorted me into my work site and made sure to introduce me to my contact person. Since I started the manager at Insight Global has followed up with me to make sure everything is going smoothly.
