I had the most phenomenal job seeking experience thanks to Loren from 24Seven. Relocating cities is one tough thing, but the double whammy of being unemployed without having many contacts in a new city can be challenging & daunting. Loren reached out to me after I decided to start sending cold resumes out to Chicago after being let go from my position in Florida, and she is now the reason I am sitting in the office of my dream company right now. I've never met a more enthusiastic & supportive recruiter in my life, and it's all thanks to the wonderful crew at 24Seven Chicago. I plan on letting all of my creative friends know about 24Seven should they be on the job hunt. Remember, it's up to you to make yourself stand out first! read more

Perhaps once a thriving recruitment agency, they've gone downhill - at least for the Chicago branch. With the last of their positive reviews being in 2014. The website contains outdated resources (2012-2014), advertises training options that don't exist after a telephone inquiry from the Chicago office, and an online job search and application system that takes away the human interaction between the potential job candidates and 24 Seven staff. It's not like days of the past where you can stop at a recruitment agency and hand in a resume - they won't even let you in the front door without an appointment. To get an appointment, you have apply through their online system and wait to see if they even want to interview you. I have over 10 years of professional experience and submitted for several of their online resources - even some of the jobs were re-published - but no call for even a "hey we would love to know more about you and what you can offer". I even called and their secretary was friendly, but even after submitting a resume directly to their email, no follow-up from them. I understand that the job market is tough, and I presume that many recruitment agencies are getting loaded with potential candidates, but a person who makes the time to conduct several inquiries should show some curiosity on the staff's part, In the end, you feel like a number and not a human being. read more

Marisa accomplished what I thought impossible: fitting my background and experience into a one-page resume. After meeting with me, going over my work history and asking me about my career goals, Marisa utilized her writing talents and years of experience to transform a very personal document into something shorter, yet still relevant; I am more than pleased. As someone who has been to too many staffing agencies to count encountering everyone from those who wanted me to dumb down my resume to those who didn't seem to care about my capabilities and wants, it was refreshing to finally meet with someone with a genuine desire to help. Marisa is smart, quick with follow-through and easy to talk to. I would recommend her to anyone for job/career-related help. Note: I will definitely update this review when that new resume gets me a fab new job! read more

From having read all the past reviews, I really thought I'd have a great experience with 24 Seven. I couldn't have been more wrong. When I initially submitted my resume, one of the assistants contacted me to fill out an employment form. Once completed, I was told an agent would be in contact with me. I heard nothing...that is until 3 months later when there was a subpar admin position they were offering. Nonetheless, I mentioned I'd be interested only for them to respond the position was already taken. Their tactics were abrupt, rude, and not very personable. When I received an email from another agent, I asked that they delete me from their distribution list. It's too bad that this organization falls into the stereotype of typical temp agencies who handle candidates like raw meat to be distributed. I've been treated better elsewhere and landed assignments. read more

I have had a wonderful experience with 24 Seven, specifically with Loren, Monica, and Kate. They are efficient and professional, which I expected. They are also friendly, warm, and supportive, which I did not. Loren is an expert at what she does, which is making connections between employers and job seekers. During our introductory interview she made me feel understood and valuable, and not just in terms of what skills and experience I have but also what my interests and goals are. That has continued in our subsequent communication. In other words, I feel like she just *gets* it. I would go to 24 Seven again in a heartbeat, and have recommended them to people I know and respect. I recommend them to you too! read more

I have worked with other placement agency's in the past, but this one exceeded my expectations. They actually found me work! I initially met with Hanna, and she seemed so interested in where I came from, what I want to learn, and where I would feel comfortable. This made me feel comfortable. At other agency's they asked more about your level of skill than your passion for the job. Within a week I got submitted for a few jobs around the Chicago area. Jackson contacted me with an amazing opportunity and I got the job! He has been in contact with me through all my questions and even to just send a check in email after the first week. I would recommend 24 Seven to anyone looking for a job. They are an amazing group to work with. read more

Five stars for 24 Seven. I worked exclusively with Hanna, who was absolutely wonderful. She asked a lot of questions about the type of work I was looking for and the type of environment I want to be in and really made me feel like what I was looking for was her top priority. I went in to meet with her because I applied to a position, but after our discussion Hanna thought I would be better suited for another opportunity - and that's the position I got! Her instincts were right and I love my new job. THANK YOU, HANNA AND 24 SEVEN! I've been staffed through recruiters before, but this experience was by far the best. read more

Stellar. These people care about us. It's refreshing. I've worked with 7 different talent agencies and none have come close to 24 Seven. From the initial meeting with Elle I realized that I was in good hands. They know the business, the marketplace, and take the time to know you as an individual - not just a skill set. read more

This agency is ridiculous. I applied online and received an email asking me to answer a set of questions. After doing so, it took them about a week just to say they received my email. About 3 weeks later, Sofia emailed me asking if I can work a temp job the next day! I responded to the email within 15 minutes. I told her I was available and I asked about simple details, like location and company name. She never responded! About a week later she sent me an email saying she needed a make up artist! What?! Are you kidding me? There is nothing on my resume that says anything about make up! This place is unprofessional and a waste of time. read more

Some recruiting agencies treat job seekers as merely a set of bullet points on a resume or keywords in a database. The fine folks at 24 Seven are completely different: they take the time to really get to know you as a candidate. The job leads they find for me are all right on target, and I feel that they are accurately presenting my skills and experience to potential employers. They've offered great advice about my resume as well. They genuinely care about finding the right fit for their candidates and their clients. I've worked with many different recruiters throughout my career, but none have provided the level of service I get from 24 Seven. read more

Over promising, under delivering. Basically you waist your time for face-to-face appointment and then.... crickets. Despite of your experience, resume, portfolio and self-presentation. Quite hard to understand if you think they paycheck comes from matching the right candidate with the right employer, who both come to them for help. The easiest job ever! read more

I am registered with several different agencies in Chicago and I wanted to write this review because I don't think there is a better creative placement agency in Chicago than 247. If you are looking for a hands on agency--one that responds to you and works as hard as you do looking for freelance, permanent and temp placement--247 is the agency for you. If you are client and you want friendly, hard working, experienced recruiters, give Elle a shout. She is fantastic and she knows her stuff. I feel very lucky to have found such a great agency. They are the best. read more

I can't stress what a difference it made to look for a position knowing I had a backer like Loren supporting my efforts. Smart, savvy and honest, I received feedback from her that was invaluable. I truly felt that I had an advocate with the company. Better yet, I got hired. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Hanna at 24Seven. I have never seen such commitment from a recruiter or any other professional for that matter. She portrays great client interaction. My e-mails/calls were answered within a timely manner -- which very important to me. There are some recruiters out there that won't even call you back, which I find extremely rude. Hanna is the complete opposite! Even though I found a full time position she calls me when there are freelance creative positions available that I can do afterhours. She puts a lot of thought and care in to her clients and I am very appreciative of that! She will prepare you before the interviews and just all around professional and helpful. 24Seven is a great agency with very committed recruiters. read more

I went through 24/Seven's on-line application system, and the next day I got a call from Suzie. It was immediately apparent that she took a personal interest in getting me placed, and was prompt, attentive and completely on top of things throughout the process. I had a window of unavailability come up, and once that passed, she picked up right where she left off. Within a matter of days, she had placed me at one of the top ad agencies in Chicago, in a position I couldn't be happier with! read more

It was the worst experience ever. I worked here for several events. I worked for their Oprah event and I didn't get paid for 3 years for it. I tried to contact them several times. Person who was responsible for it left the job and I was told to contact other person for it. I actually paid for parking ticket which I got because of their miscommunication for telling me that it will be just 2 hours while it took more than 3 hours. I was told that I will get paid for my parking ticket but I didn't. I tried contacting their employees and also management for it but no response. Most disappointing thing is that I call atleast 4 times a week for about 6 to 7 months but nobody returns my call. I also contacted Elite Shapir HR Director about it. Still, the same thing. I didn't get good response. But, I didn't gave up and then finally, I just told her that OK, you can pay me whatever you think I should get paid. Now, finally got paid $230 while they owe me $445 as it includes the parking ticket and also the number of hours I worked there. They said that they don't have records of it. But, I kept contacting them since long. Its them who didn't replied not me. Its not my fault in it. I really feel bad and disappointed for working here. They don't respect their employees and the efforts we put in in making their event success. read more

Don't waste your time. I met with 27 Seven, was made a lot of promises about job matches and then never heard back from the person I met with. I emailed representative and called another -- just once each -- and each time was treated like a was bothering them. Very unprofessional. read more

I have worked with Hanna, Elle and Jackson at 24/Seven and they have all been helpful and enthusiastic! Hanna found me my most recent freelance job, which turned into a full time gig. I am thankful for her help and I enjoyed working with all of them! read more

I didn't get Morrissey tickets or any branded office paraphernalia like pens or note pads from 24Seven. 24Seven did, however, give me the best gift of all -- a JOB. Elle Wells and her team was great about answering my questions, marketing me to great companies, and providing timely and actionable feedback on my resume and presentation. I'm the first to admit that I'm pretty high maintenance, but Elle's patience and attention to detail kept the typically roar-full lion at bay, and brought out the playful cub in me instead. Not only is she a great leader, successfully duplicating herself and creating a recruiting agency full of talented, joyful people to work with, but she's just a great person to boot. There is no doubt in my mind that 24Seven owes all of its success to Elle and her team of loyal recruiter-soldiers, and she has my full, undying support in any endeavor she dares to take on. 24 Seven is awesome because of her. read more

I really enjoyed meeting with Hanna. She was extremely down to earth and you could tell she really cares about helping others. I felt extremely confident after our interview. read more

Nice creative staffing agency. Suzie offers excellent advice on remaining relevant for those of us who may have taken a break from the industry. read more

Really the worst employment agency on this planet. Nothing in the two years. Rude, and not very friendly. They don't even deserve me writing this sorry note. So I wont! read more
